Changing pokemon EVs at lvl.100

Once I was training my Roserade's EVs and it was almost leveling up. Then I deposited Roserade on the box. When I took it out of the box, its Sp.Att stat was higher by 3 or 4 points(don't remember well)
I don't know if it works on lvl.100 pokemon, but it's worth testing.

Yes, it's well-known that the box trick works. However, the problem is that you can't gain EXP in battle at level 100, and for that reason you also don't gain EVs (from battle). This was how it worked in R/S/E, so it's really a new phenomenon.

um sorry, kinda newb, whats the box trick?
(cmon admit it, you knew someone would ask ;P)
When you put a pokemon in a box, the EV values are applied to its stats, rather than waiting for the next level up as usual.

It worked in every level in RBYGSC. It doesn't work at level 100 in RSFrLgEDP. Not sure about XD/Colo which would be cool if that worked.

This is one of the many reasons that I train all my stuff to Level 50. With Wi-Fi, your levels get adjusted to 50 or 100 anyway. Why train something all the way to 100?

I don't train anything to 100.

I have Palkia and Torterra who are almost 100 purely from beating the Elite 4 over and over basically, though.. because I EXP.Share the other dudes..

Link Battles dont let you select levels? Bahh...

Am I the only one who thinks it's stupid that the Power items dont let you EV train at level 100? The items are the ones that award you the EVs, not the Pokemon. And then theres the fact that it gives you 4 EVs out of all numbers. Almost seemed like it was meant to help people fix level 100 training...

Man, someone needs to send an email to Gamefreak or something asking to fix this next gen...
