Channels for Smogon server PO

i am here today to suggest that Pokemon Online's Smogon Server should have channels that everyone can make, just like how Pokemon Online's server opperates.I believe that by doing so the Server Smogon would have increase in popularity.I know for a fact that some of the greats players on the Pokemon online server go on PO because of the face that smogon doesn't have private channels making it restricted for people to express themselves freely.It would also making it easier to communicate with other members online instead of just PMing everyone that you want to talk to you could just make it a topic on your very own channel.I am sorry to bother you but i truly believe that this would make the server better and would make the game a lot more fun for everyone thank you. -Iam

Since we are on the topic an easily accessed list of our channels on the site would work wonders.

There is this page here http://www.smogon.com/forums/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=3338 but clearly not every user goes on these.

While concurring with both Tolan and Layell, I just wanted to add that private channels can be used maliciously, and we can't monitor all user-created channels, so there would be a small margin for rule-breaking to be done. In addition, if everyone was creating their own channels, it would cause lag on the server, and we don't need more of that.

You can also PM a mod if you want a channel made, and if the mod feels like moderating that channel and believes it's worth being made, it will generally happen. But Desolate hit it on the head there.
