[OVERVIEW]
Chansey is a premier special wall in the tier. Its massive HP stat, coupled with good Special Defense and Eviolite, allows Chansey to reliably shrug off almost any special attack from foes such as Basculegion-F, Choice Specs Hisuian Goodra, and non-Iron Defense Magnezone. It also has good utility, with access to an entry hazard option in Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave to cripple foes such as Empoleon, Gengar, and Hisuian Zoroark. Chansey is a staple in stall teams and decent in balance teams, as it fulfills the role of the special wall perfectly. Having access to Heal Bell and Healing Wish allows Chansey to further support its teammates by being a cleric and allowing a teammate to fully heal themselves, respectively. However, Chansey is extremely passive, as Seismic Toss is usually its only method of damaging the opponent, which can be countered by Ghost-types like Hisuian Zoroark, Gengar, and Mimikyu, as well as give an easier time for setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Slowbro to set up. Moreover, due to its reliance on Eviolite, Chansey is prone to entry hazard stacking, making it susceptible to being worn down.

Seismic Toss is Chansey's best option for dealing reliable damage and not being completely passive. Soft-Boiled gives Chansey reliable recovery and makes it easier for Chansey to tank special attacks. Stealth Rock is a great move on Chansey, as it has a rather easy time setting up Stealth Rock against physically weak Pokemon like Empoleon, Vaporeon, and Hisuian Goodra. This helps specifically for stall teams, as one could opt to run Spikes instead of Stealth Rock on common stall staples like Quagsire. Heal Bell allows Chansey to cure any status ailments for the team, which is especially useful on balance and stall teams, as one of the key strategies in dealing with those archetypes is to whittle them down with Toxic and Paralysis. Thunder Wave allows Chansey to cripple opposing Pokemon like Gengar, Hisuian Zoroark, and Noivern. Natural Cure allows Chansey to absorb status conditions and remove them upon switching out, adding to its high longevity. 56 HP EVs allow Chansey to be 3HKOed by a +1 Special Attack Psyshock from Armarouge. Tera Dark allows Chansey to wall Stored Power sweepers such as Cresselia and Armarouge, deal with Psyshock reliably from Gardevoir and the aforementioned Armarouge, and block Psychic Noise. Tera Ghost can flip Chansey's weakness to Fighting to an immunity, allowing Chansey to cripple Fighting-type threats like Galarian Zapdos and Slither Wing with Thunder Wave or damage them with Seismic Toss.

Chansey is a staple on stall teams and so enjoys teaming up with other stall staples such as Quagsire, Chesnaught, and Fezandipiti. These Pokemon have good synergy with Chansey, as Quagsire and Fezandipiti are good switch-ins to Fighting-type threats such as Galarian Zapdos and Slither Wing, since they are good absorbers of Knock Off and are good at neutralizing setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Suicune. Chesnaught and Quagsire also provide Spikes support, weakening the opposing team over time, while Fezandipiti is a bulky wincon for stall teams. Chansey acts as a good special wall that can help the team beat usual balance breakers such as Choice Specs Basculegion-F, Hisuian Goodra, and Volcanion. Galarian Weezing is a good partner due to it also being a great Fighting-type switch-in and Defogger. Umbreon can pass Wish and deal with Ghost-types like Gengar and Hisuian Zoroark that are immune to Chansey's Seismic Toss. Chansey also enjoys entry hazard control due to being limited to using Eviolite, so Cyclizar, Noivern, Talonflame, and the aforementioned Galarian Weezing are good partners. Moreover, due to Chansey being prone to U-turn cores such as Galarian Zapdos and Flygon, it appreciates Pokemon that punish such cores, such as Flame Body Talonflame and Static Bellibolt.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Healing Wish is a good option on Chansey, as it can fully heal a weakened teammate and works best late-game. Protect is useful to scout for Choice-locked attacks from Krookodile, Galarian Zapdos, and Gardevoir. Chansey can opt to run Calm Mind, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt to be a bulky setup sweeper; however, its damage output prior to Calm Mind boosts is low. Chansey can also choose to run Serene Grace to fish for Ice Beam freezes, but this is not a very reliable strategy.

Checks and Counters
====

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Galarian Zapdos, Slither Wing, and Conkeldurr can switch into Chansey and threaten to OHKO it. Conkeldurr in particular can shrug off the Thunder Wave paralysis by getting a Guts boost, becoming more threatening.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Crawdaunt, Maushold, Krookodile, and Golurk deal huge damage to Chansey, while Chansey cannot do much in return.

**Knock Off**: Chansey is severely crippled by Knock Off, as losing Eviolite severely hinders its bulk. As such, common Knock Off users such as Cyclizar, Krookodile, and Hisuian Goodra are threats to Chansey.

**Disruption**: Due to being very passive, Taunt completely shuts down Chansey, as it can only use Seismic Toss in return. Pokemon such as Noivern, Wo-Chien, Fezandipiti, and Volcanion commonly run Taunt, and Chansey has to be aware of them. Choice Scarf + Trick and Encore are also good against Chansey, as the former severely cripples Chansey while the latter gives the opposing team free turns.

**Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers with access to recovery moves like Slowbro and Fezandipiti can set up on Chansey. Moreover, threats that do not necessarily mind lowering their Speed via Thunder Wave such as Bisharp are also threatening against Chansey.

Chansey can also choose to run Serene Grace to fish for Ice Beam freezes, but it is not a very reliable strategy. CM Chansey feels a bit optimistic, much worse than Blissey with that base 35 Special Attack. Would like to see Healing Wish and Protect mentioned, with Protect being nice to scout for Choice-locked attacks from Krook/Gapdos/etc

Also, this applies to stall teams as well so you can cut the "for balance teams" part. Galarian Weezing is a good partner due to it also being a great Fighting-type switch-in and Defogger. Umbreon is also a good partner to Chansey, as it can pass Wish and deal with Ghost-types like Gengar and Hisuian Zoroark that are immune to Chansey's Seismic Toss. VoltTurn cores such as Magnezone and Galarian Zapdos are good partners to keep the momentum and giving Chansey a safe switch-in. Magnezone in particular can deal with Jirachi which could flinch down Chansey with Iron Head. I don't believe this is notable enough - considering chansey is a passive safety cushion for spa attackers, other more threatening pokemon are much better at utilising safe switch-ins. Jirachi is usually not that worrisome for chansey either.

Healing Wish is a good option on Chansey as it can fully recover a weakened teammate and works best in the end game. Protect is useful to scout for Choice-locked attacks from Krookodile, Galarian Zapdos, and Gardevoir. **Taunt**: Due to being very passive, Taunt completely shuts down Chansey, as it can only use Seismic Toss in return. Pokemon such as Noivern, Wo-Chien, Fezandipiti, and Volcanion commonly run Taunt and Chansey has to be aware of them. Also talk about Choice Scarf + Trick and Encore also being good against Chansey - changing the title to "Disruption" might fit better

**Volt-Turn**: Chansey is very prone to Volt-Turn cores especially if it has entry hazards on its side. Pokemon such as Kilowattrel, Rotom-Heat, Rotom-Mow, and Magnezone therefore can pivot out of Chansey easily and gain momentum. Seems like you want to talk about chansey being overwhelmed by attacks that might force it to switch around - however, since the special pivots cant really threaten chansey and youve already talked about phys wallbreakers. If you want to keep this, replace it with "Entry Hazards" and talk about Chansey getting whittled down over a long game.

**Setup Sweepers**: Talk about setup sweepers with recovery like slowbro and reuniclus, as well as stronger ones like Psyshock Armarouge and Bisharp, being able to setup vs chansey

**Fighting-Types**: Fighting-types such as Galarian Zapdos, Slither Wing, and Conkeldurr can switch into Chansey and threaten to OHKO it. Conkeldurr in particular can shrugs off the Thunder Wave paralysis by getting a Guts boost, becoming more threatening.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Crawdaunt, Maushold, Krookodile, and Golurk deals huge damage to Chansey, while Chansey cannot do much in return.

**Knock Off**: Chansey is severely crippled by Knock Off, and has to make sure to not get its item removed mention that losing eviolite drastically reduces its bulk. As such, common Knock Off users such as Cyclizar, Krookodile, and Hisuian Goodra are threats to Chansey.

[OVERVIEW]
Chansey is a premier special wall in the tier. Its massive HP stat, (AC) coupled with good Special Defense and Eviolite, (AC) allows Chansey to reliably shrug off almost any special attack from foes such as Basculegion-F, Choice Specs Hisuian Goodra, and non Iron non-Iron Defense Magnezone reliably. It also has good utility, with access to an entry hazard option in Stealth Rock (RC) and Thunder Wave to cripple foes such as Empoleon, Gengar, and Hisuian Zoroark. Chansey is a staple in stall teams and decent in balance teams, as it fulfills the role of the special wall perfectly. Having access to Heal Bell and Healing Wish allows Chansey to further support its teammates further by being a cleric and allowing a teammate to fully heal themselves, (AC) respectively. However, Chansey is extremely passive, as Seismic Toss is usually its only method of damaging the opponent, which can be countered by Ghost-types like Hisuian Zoroark, Gengar, and Mimikyu, as well as give an easier time for setup sweepers to set up (RC) such as Bisharp and Slowbro to set up. Moreover, due to its reliance on Eviolite, Chansey is prone to entry hazard stacking, making it susceptible to being worn down.

Seismic Toss is Chansey's best option in for dealing reliable damage and not be being completely passive. Natural Cure is an excellent ability for allows Chansey (RC) allowing it to absorb status conditions and removing remove them upon switching out, adding to its high longevity. 56 HP EVs allows allow Chansey to be 3HKOed by a +1 SpA booosted Special Attack Psyshock from Armarouge. Tera Dark allows Chansey to wall Stored Power sweepers such as Cresselia and Armarouge, as well as deal with Psyshock reliably from Gardevoir and the aforementioned Armarouge, as well as and block Psychic Noise. Tera Ghost can flip Chansey's weakness to Fighting to an immunity, allowing Chansey to cripple the Fighting-type threats like Galarian Zapdos and Slither Wing with Thunder Wave or damage them with Seismic Toss.

Chesnaught and Quagsire also provides provide Spikes support, weakening the opposing team over time, while Fezandipiti is a bulky wincon for stall teams. Chansey acts as a good special wall that can help the team beat usual balance breakers such as Choice Specs Basculegion-F, Hisuian Goodra, and Volcanion. Galarian Weezing is a good partner due to it also being a great Fighting-type switch-in and Defogger. Umbreon is also a good partner to Chansey, as it can pass Wish and deal with Ghost-types like Gengar and Hisuian Zoroark that are immune to Chansey's Seismic Toss. Chansey also enjoys entry hazard control support due to being limited to using Eviolite, so Cyclizar, Noivern, Talonflame, and the aforementioned Galarian Weezing are good partners. Moreover, due to Chansey being prone to U-turn lowercase turn cores such as Galarian Zapdos and Flygon, it appreciates Pokemon that punish such cores, such as Flame Body Talonflame and Static Bellibolt. Healing Wish is a good option on Chansey, (AC) as it can fully recover heal a weakened teammate and works best in the end game late-game. Protect is useful to scout for Choice-locked attacks from Krookodile, Galarian Zapdos, and Gardevoir. Chansey can opt to run Calm Mind, (AC) + Ice Beam, (AC) + and Thunderbolt to be a bulky setup sweeper (RC); (ASC) however, (AC) its damage output prior to Calm Mind boosts are is low. Chansey can also choose to run Serene Grace to fish for Ice Beam freezes, but it this is not a very reliable strategy.
