Chaos Gods UU team

So after playing more warhammer than pokemon for a while, I decided to make a chaos theme team. Seeing as alot of the pokemon I wanted to run were UU, I decided to just go with the flow. I've actually had pretty good results with this on shoddy, despite having a massive EQ weak. The team itself doesn't really have any solid defenses, and instead focuses on nothing but offense.

FiendOfSlaanesh (Leafeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 244 HP/50 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Roar
- Leaf Blade
---
physical wall / set up the more powerful Greater Demons (pokemon).

LordOfChange (Masquerain) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 92 HP / 160 Def / 56 Spd / 200 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Big Buzz
- Hydro Pump
- Giga Drain
- Stun Spore
"a Lord of Change is a potent spellcaster, able to summon whirling tempests of change and mutation, blasting his enemies with bolts of multi-coloured fire."

An old moveset I picked up from CT. Now with added Stab. Provides a much needed special support element to my very brawlish team. I am marginally worried about stealth rock without any spin support. However, I don't expect it to live very long anyway.

GreatUncleanOne (Muk) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 196 HP/164 Atk/150 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Explosion
- Poison Jab
- Shadow Punch
- Brick Break
---
"A Great Unclean One is all but unstoppable on the advance, wading into the enemy through even the fiercest firepower"

pretty straightforward, just tank and fight a bit. would a resttalker be good for stat absorbtion? Can Muk Stalk?

Soul Grinder (Drapion) (M) @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 140 HP/252 Atk/118 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Cross Poison
- Night Slash
- Earthquake
- Agility
---
"Soul Grinders form the armoured spearhead of the daemonic hosts, using their massive firepower to hammer the enemy lines"

Drapion however has not let me down. I feel kinda like a bitch with Scope Lens, but meh. Agility is there so he can set up speed after Leafeon's pass.

Blood Thirster (Nidoking) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn
- Ice Punch
---
"A single Bloodthirster is a harbinger of bellowing death to an entire army of mortals, for it is destructive beyond telling, and lives only for the call to slaughter, maim and rend."

Not going to lie, I kinda wanted to use 'Zard here but hes sadly BL. But Nidoking has certainly not let me down.

KeeperOfSecrets (Kabutops) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 70 HP/252 Atk/188 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Rock Slide
- Aerial Ace
- Rain Dance
---
"A Keeper of Secrets is a terrifying foe to face, delighting in exquisite pain, the caress of claw through skin and muscle, bone and organ."

Topz is another one of my top sweepers. Along with Drapion, his health is directly responsible for how well I'm doing...

So yea. Rate or Hate. I had fun creating and themeing this team =) and it hasn't let me down on the shoddy ladder yet, but I know it could use some good advice.

bump! before this thread falls into oblvion and nobody tells me anything.

ANYHOW, I have done a few things.

I swiched agility on Drapion out for swords dance.

and I replaced leafeon with this thing.

Daemon Prince (Blastoise) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
- Toxic
- Ice Beam

"A Daemon Prince is a Chaos Marine who has mutated horribly and has gained a monstrous size. "

I figured against competent opponents I was never getting a successful pass off with leafeon, so I swapped her out for a spinner + toxic support to help wear down more stallish teams.

Weezing's more of a problem than Steelix, but what he's trying to say is that your team leans too much on the physical side, and in UU, that's where the best walls are. Turning Nidoking into a special/mixed sweeper would probably be the quickest way to do that. In addition, LO or scarfed Hitmonlee could probably single-handedly sweep your entire team, since Blastoise has trouble eating repeated Close Combats. Claydol with Rapid Spin, Earth Power, Psychic/Ice Beam, and Toxic does the same thing, but can wall the physical threats in UU better and gives you a much needed Ground immunity for the three poison types in your team as well as giving an answer to the standard physical walls. Also you may want a max speed jolly on your Drapion(if you don't already) in order to outspeed Hitmonlee.

I actually fail to see how Steelix does much of anything against this team. Steelix's main answer to Leafeon is that it can Roar it away while taking little to no damage from only a +2 Leaf Blade. But his Leafeon has Roar anyway... meaning that it outpaces Steelix's Roar. Which means Leafeon is free to get as many Swords Dances as it pleases against Steelix, and also beat it by hitting it with Leaf Blade on the switch in.

(Also, put Leafeon back in over Blastoise. The Rapid Spin support is largely unneeded. Nor is the Bulky Water role on your team)

Your team is incredibly happy to be recieving those Swords Dance boosts. Don't make your team unhappy.

You really just need a change in lead, because Leafeon as a lead is generally a pretty poor choice.

To be honest, moving your Masquerain into the lead position makes the most sense. It does well against the majority of most leads, both in that it Intimidates physical Pokemon, as well as makes use of crippling status attacks. It fairs well against the majority of leads in UU.

------------------------------

Assuming your Masquerain is in the front spot, you're going to be attracting Electric attacks like hotcakes. This puts increased emphasis on your Nidoking.

While Nidoking as a solely Physical attacker is certainly a force to be reckoned with, it's just so easily walled that it's not as effective as a Mixed attacker.

The following moveset helps to soften your opponent's team and makes it easier for your strictly physical sweepers to tear through late game.

Nidoking @ Life Orb
Rash Nature
200 Atk / 252 SpA / 56 Spe

Megahorn
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt

Standard UU wall breaker, and a fine one at that. This should help your other sweepers actually do their job.

-----------------------

A note that is without Leafeon, your team is rampaged through with Rock Polish Relicanth, yet another reason to ditch the Blastoise and put it back in.

---------------------

Hitmonlee can be problematic, your best bet is to bring Masquerain or Muk in on the Close Combat, and then switch to Leafeon to take the subsequent Super Effective attack. It won't work 100% of the time, but it's your best bet against Life Orb Hitmonlee.

-------------------

Other than that, it's hard to say what will and won't work against this team. It has solid resistances and a coherent strategy. Good work!

On Kautops, you can consider X Scissor over Aerial Ace, as you hurt most Grass Pokes anyway, and also can help you have a good shot at killing Grumpig / Hypno.

Your team, as-is, has 4 pokes weak to ground, and the other two share weaknesses to fire and flying.

Altaria will cut through your entire team with a dance or two unopposed. Something quick with ice, like giving Nidoking a scarf, would do you a world of good.

I've starteduseing that mix king and its been working great.

Nidoking @ Life Orb
Rash Nature
200 Atk / 252 SpA / 56 Spe

Megahorn
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt

however I was wondering if it would be a good idea to run rivalry + attract over megahorn. my reasoning is that poison point is kinda worthless in most cases, rivalry gives a decent attack boost against other male enemies, while the debilitating effects of attract provide an advantage over female pokemon. who would otherwise give me problems. + most everybody just leaves their pokemon male- unless they don't want thier clefable to be gay or something.

Poison point is rather useless, but rivalry can be down-right disastrous for Nido. The risk is not worth it.

Poison Point isn't worthless. It can Poison things just by getting hit, how is that useless (I know it's just Physical Moves that hit you, but you have that chance of Poison which is great)
