Charizard, everyone who enters the pokemon world from the anime at least once thought he was invincible, but the games aren't kind to this dragon-looking pokemon. 5th gen is commin' and people are already starting to think up movesets and strategies for there teams, but i'd bet that Charizard isn't in the plans of many people other than myself. I consider myself a charizard fanatic, and one of my deepist wishes is to see him in at least OU, where he belongs.
Here is the set I think will bring him there:
Charizard @ Leftovers Blaze
Adamant Nature - 100HP / 252Atk / 156Spe
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch
Earthquake
Freefall
Dream World is quite an idea that gamefreak had, but they once again trolled charizard giving him one of the worst possible abilities, Solar Power, that eats off charizard's HP in the sun and gives him a 50% boost on his s.atk. That may seem good at first glance, but that abilitie is only worth something in a sunnyday team, with Ninetales in the team, and sunny isn't exactly the easyest weather condition to use, Politoad, Tyranitar, Hippowdon and Abomasnow are all slower than Ninetales, so they get the weather up.
But not all is bad for Charizard in this gen, the adition of Mirror Coat on Xatu and Espeon and the unexistence of Stealth Rock as a TM makes it easyer to use Charizard, and he gained a new move that is the soul of my charizard moveset: Freefall
The extra HP will give Charizard a turn or 2 to set up Dragon Dance, and freefall gives you 1 extra turn of recovery, and is prety strong, with base 60 power (90 after STAB) and 100acc. Earthquake is there to take care of eletrics and rocks, as well as neutral damage against waters (unless the recovery from freefall is more apealing) Fire Punch is the strong STAB move and ripes through everything that doesn't resist it after 2 Dragon Dances.
hope you guys like the set, coment plz =P
