Charizard-X & CO.

This is the first team I've attempted to create since the release of Gen VI. I have tried it throughout today and have had a lot of success, perhaps it's just the OP'ness of this team, but I think it works pretty well. Obviously there will be ways in which I can improve. I'm open to all suggestions and all comments are appreciated. I do want to keep Charizard X as this is who I have built my team around, and although I like the other team members they are replaceable if a suitable replacement is out there. Moves and the like are also negotiable, like I said, this was my first attempt, so if something seems silly or unecassary please go easy on me. Anyway, onto the...

Team

Charizard - X
As one of my favourites, I had to build a team around this guy. His power is immense and after a few DD's he can sweep teams with no trouble. However not being perfect, I knew I had to find some team-mates that really compliment him, and help him take on those things that he struggles with, especially those pesky new fairy types.

Tough Claws
Jolly Nature
EV's: 4 HP | 252 Attack | 252 Speed
Moves:
+ Dragon Dance
+ Earthquake
+ Dragon Claw
+ Fire Punch

Genesect @ Expert Belt
Exactly what I was looking for to counter those fairy types. I know he's considered OP but as a sidekick to Charizard, he was exactly what I needed. I want to give the illusion of a scarf, which is why I chose expert belt over life orb, and I really appreciate the longevity too.

Hasty Nature
EV's: 152 HP | 252 Attack | 104 Speed
Moves:
+ Shift Gear
+ Iron Head
+ Extreme Speed
+ Blaze Kick

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
I figured that both of these fantastic offensive threats could use some back up to help them out. Vaporeon, not only is one of my favourites, but offers fantastic support with some genuine bulk. Those water threats to Charizard are completely nullified by Vaporeon and Ice types are no trouble either. Wish and Roar make for a great combination to switch things up if I'm getting set-up on and between Scald and Toxic I'm not short of being able to hurt most opponents.

Water Absorb
Bold Nature
EV's: 248 HP | 252 Defence | 8 SpD
Moves:
+ Wish
+ Scald
+ Toxic Heal Bell
+ Roar

Mew @ Leftovers
I was still without a Pokemon that could set up hazards and remove them. Luckily Mew is a beast and manages both while at the same time offering a bulky switch in to counter some threats. The only problem I have with Mew is the lack of an offensive move other than toxic. It's hard to toxic stall when Mew is the only team member I have left and coming up against a late game steel type has sometimes left me in trouble.

Bold Nature
EV's: 252 HP | 148 Defence | 108 Speed
IV's 0 Atk
Moves:
+ Defog
+ Stealth Rock
+ Soft-Boiled Psychic
+ Toxic

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Terrakion for me is a bit of a place holder. Admittedly, between him and Charizard, most threats are covered. I included Poison Jab to deal with fairies but the rest of this set is pretty standard. I know the scarf may be a little unorthadox but this has worked fantastically, surprising a lot of people and making Terrakion the ultimate revenge killer.

Justified
Adamant Nature
EV's 4 HP | 252 Attack | 252 Speed
Moves:
+ Close Combat
+ Stone Edge
+ Earthquake
+ Poison Jab

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ultimate coverage. Protean does such a fantastic job and the variety of moves means I can pretty much hit anything with this team. It does well to support my team and can offer a variety of sweeps, most late game. Grass knot does well to deal with any heavy pokemon, Cloyster is a common example.

Protean
Timid Nature
EV's 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Speed
Moves:
+ Dark Pulse
+ Ice Beam
+ Scald
+ Grass Knot

I'm not sure why you've got the EV's that you do for Genesect, all the moves you've given it are physical yet you're boosting special attack. Similarly, the hasty nature should be replaced for one that isn't decreasing defence but instead the attacking style which you're not going to use. If you stick with an attacking moveset then that'll be Jolly. You might also want to consider U-turn for a reliable scouting move which would further give the illusion that Genesect is scarfed. Another option is to change it to a special attacking set, which would balance the offensive side of your team more, currently you've got 3 physical attackers and 1 special.

Sorry about that, the EV's on Genesect was a mistake. They are actually attacking EV's. The reason I have a hasty nature is because it's an event specific moveset. To be able to use Shift Gear I believe you need to run hasty as that is the only nature that the event Genesect was allowed. I did consider U-turn, but I didn't want to lose any of those moves, and I prefer Genesect being able to sweep rather than scout. I'd have to change the Genesect set completely if I were to make him a special attacker, as shift gear is perfect for attack. Although you are right, my team is a little attack heavy, I'd rather lose Terrakion for a special attacker than change Genesect.

I like Terrakion I wouldn't switch him. Mew is good I guess. I mean Mew is a jack of all trades master of none so it doesn't really shine, Imo. You could switch to a Latias for a Defogger + added damage.

Genesect I've never liked. I always thought he was cheap. Like when people were using Mega Gengar. lol But the shift gear set is a nice one I've heard. Um, overall the team looks alright.

Mew is rarely used on my team. But it's use as a stealth rock/defogger is valuable. I thought about changing it to Empoleon but I hate Pokemon with low speed. I would happily use Latias if Soul Dew wasn't banned, but without it it's still not that strong or bulky so it seems a little underpowered compared to Mew.

I have also changed the Vaporeon and Mew sets to offer some other assistance.

Vaporeon now has Heal Bell instead of Toxic. Toxic is useful, but status' like burns and paralysis cripple my team.
Mew has lost soft-boiled for Psychic. Like I said, my lack of an offensive move renders Mew pretty useless most of the time, especially considering the abundance of steel types in the OU metagame.

If you're still looking for a defogger, I've had great success with Latios. Latios is fast can hit hard and no one expects it to run defog. I run 252 speed 252 spatk with a life orb, Draco meteor psyshock, defog, and the last slot is whatever you need for coverage. No one expects defog latios it can also switch into rotom w which is common as hell and resist it's dual stab and kill it with an energy ball or get off a free defog
