First attempt at a serious team. All criticisms and information welcomed and encouraged.
Jolly Charizard
Evs - 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
Blaze
Charizardite X
Dragon Dance
Flare Blitz
Dragon Claw
Roost
Sweeper: Picked Charizard as the foundation for my team, move set is pretty basic. Late game dragon dance to secure a win condition. Roost adds longevity, Charizard is a little beefy to begin with and can take most hits. My go to move is Dragon Claw.
Adamant TalonFlame
Evs - 248 Hp/ 252 SpD/ 8 Spe
Gale wings
Sharp Beak
Brave Bird
Roost
Willo Wisp
Bulk Up
Wallbuster: By far my favourite Pokemon to take to battle. This build allows for Talonflame to beef up overtime with Bulk up until I'm ready to sweep the Team with Brave Bird. Willo Whisp and the burn stat also works well with sandstorm and stealth rock in effect.
Brave Thundurus
Evs - 4 Def/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Prankster
Life Orb
Thunder wave
Thunderbolt
Grass knot
Focus Blast
Special Sweeper: Not a favourite but I hope to get some value here. I know the nature is off but I'm working with what I have. Thunder wave, grass knot for the bulk and then we have Focus Blast for coverage. Thunderbolt is my STAB over Thunder as I'm not running rain dance.
Adamant Excadrill
Evs - 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
Sand Rush
Air Balloon
Earthquake
Iron head
Rockslide
Rapid Spin
Bulky Spinner: suggested alongside Hippowdon for the ability synergy but I have begun to appreciate them both seperately. Iron head for STAB alongside Rockslide to add flinches when it can't kill. Rapid Spin to clear the board before Charizard, Thundurus, or TalonFlame hit play. His ability allows him to come in to synergize alongside or shortly after Hippowdon.
Adamant Azumarill
Evs - 252 Atk/ 172 Hp/ 84 Spe
Huge Power
Choice Band
Aqua Jet
Waterfall
Play Rough
Superpower
Physical Tank: A tank that can take hits and fire back. New to playing with Choice items. Aqua Jet for when speed is necessary. Waterfall for STAB along with Play Rough for a real bearing. Superpower is there for coverage and doesn't see much use unless its down to the wire.
Impish Hippowdon
Evs - 252 Hp/ 144 Def/ 112 SpD
Sand stream
Leftovers
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Stealth Rock
Slack Off
Trump's Wall: I was very pleased and surprised most of all with this pokemons performance. Great synergy, and excellent solo and beginning performance. He's here to set up stealth rock and really feel out the battle before it gets heated. He's not a stall wall, he will get the job done or get out when necessary. Earthquake for STAB along with Stone Edge for my attacks. Slack off for survivability and a Stealth Rock cherry on top!
Through trial and error I've come to see little value in Thundurus. L So I'm looking for suggestions on what to do to replace him best. Also wanting to switch out TalonFlame for this weekend but not sure who I should consider replacing him with from up to gen six.
