So as reminder, I'm new. I've played pokemon since I was 8, but I only recently got into it competitively. Charizard has always been my fave and the team revolves around him, so I cant't/won't get rid of him. I really need some tips and advice about this team. What to do. Who to replace maybe. I understand that everyone plays different and may have different opinions, but like I said I'm new to this perspective of pokemon. Help is appreciated and thank you.
I've used this team a handful of times. It has been changed here and there but has always melted down to this.

Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

The main and star of the team. The basic wallbreaker set up. I went with tailwind rather than roost to experiment and see how it goes. I'm aware roost gives it longevity but once again, I experimented.
Drakon (Dragonite) (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Extreme Speed
- Dragon Dance
- Thunder Punch
Dnite is my go to pseudo though lately I feel ify on it. Perhaps a new dragon or pseudo will do? Or maybe I'm just being stupid and a new perspective is needed?

My team was missing some bulk so orginally put slowpoke. After sometime, I updated the team and replaced slowpoke with toxapex. This one I don't mind replacing because this is one pokemon I can live without. What could be different?
Zeus (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Heat Wave
- Defog
I needed to defog support for zard and also fill a slot with a legendary. Playing OU, I've seen people use like 5 legendary pokemon and 1 non legendary which irks me to no end. So I only use 1 or at most 2 legendary pokemon. Zapdos is a good fit. Covers zard's water type weakness and can also clear the field as said before.
Splinter (Excadrill) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide
A staple it seems in every zard team I've seen. Takes care of rocks. Plain and simple.
Claw (Weavile) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Pursuit
So weavile was recommended to me. I was told my team needed speed. Though I feel this one can be replaced or edited, maybe?
