Hey everyone,
New to pokemon battling and wanted your thoughts on my team. Any suggestions are appreciated! (This is for OU)
Mega Charizard Y
Ability: Drought
Item: Charizardite Y
Nature: Modest
EV's: 4 hp, 252 SAtk, 252 Spd
Moves:
-Heat Wave
-Focus Blast
-Solar Beam
-Roost
I actually prefer mega charizard Y to the X version since fairy types are now quite popular. Heat Wave instead of Fire Blast for accuracy. Roost instead of HP ice really cause of stealth rock.
Cloyster
Ability: Skill Link
Item: Lum Berry
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Atk, 4 SAtk, 252 Spe
Moves:
-Icicle spear
-Rock blast
-Shell smash
-Hydro pump
Gimmicky, but effective. Lum berry - works well to counter smeargle, non-ferrothorn entries
Dragonite
Ability: Multiscale
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 4 hp, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
Moves:
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Fire Punch
-Thunder Punch
Favorite dragon by far, though goodra's pretty good too (but looks nasty). Thunder punch for azumarill. Tried Hydreiggon, but it got nerfed this gen.
Gliscor
Ability: Poison Heal
Item: toxic orb
Nature: Impish (+Def, -SAtk)
EV's: 244 hp, 40 Def, 224 Spe
Moves:
-Ice Fang
-Toxic
-Protect
-Earthquake
No substitute, but this works well to counter another gliscor and multiple steel/dragon hazards, including excadrill. Amazing physical wall.
Magnezone
Ability: Analytic
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EV's: 172 HP, 252 SAtk, 84 Spe
Moves:
-HP Fire
-Flash Cannon
-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
Fairy/Gyrados counter. Bulky enough to take a flare blitz from talonflame at full hp and counter.
Clefable
Ability: Magic Guard
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EV's: 4 HP, 252 SAtk, 252 Spe
Moves:
-Thunderbolt
-Fire Blast
-Moonblast
-Moonlight
A bit unconventional, but it does pretty well. TBolt is a bit of a surprise, but is effective against multiple threats. Walls aegislash pretty well.
