SM OU Charwizard and frens (Psychic Terrain Zard Y Team)

Introduction
Hello frens. This is my Sun/Moon OU team based around 2 of the most threatening wallbreakers in the metagame right now: Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Lele. The goal of this team is to eliminate/weaken all of the opposing Pokemon that can that these mons can't deal with. Let's get into it.

The Team

The team started with the 3 Pokemon core offensive core of Charizard-Y, Tapu Lele, and Dugtrio. Not much in the meta can switch into switch into Zard and Lele reliably and those that can get trapped and eliminated by Dugtrio. From there, I needed a Defogger or a Rapid Spinner on my team. I ultimately went with Latios as it works great with the Psychic Terrain that Lele provides. Next I needed a pursuit trapper to deal with Psychic types that give this team a hard time. Scizor seemed like the best option to me as it can switch into Psychics easily and live a Focus Blast or a Moonblast. Lastly, I wanted a bulky pivot as this team has trouble switching into a lot of offensive threats. Toxapex is probably the best wall in OU right now so I threw it on there.

"All these hoes gon' flock when I drop"

The Gen 1 favorite is arguably the most threatening Mega in the game right now. It's a fantastic wallbreaker after it Mega Evolves and the sun comes out. Max Speed and Timid Nature is needed for Zard Y to outspeed Pokemon like Landorus-Therian, Kyurem, and Zygarde while speed-tieing with other Base 100s. Fire Blast is used for pure power. Solar Beam is for Water and Rock types that resist Fire Blast. Hidden Power Ice is used for any Dragons that want to switch in like Zygarde, Garchomp, and Dragonite. Roost is there so Zard has longevity throughout the game and helps when I can't Defog Stealth Rocks off the field. Zard really helps to eliminate things that Tapu Lele can't get past like Ferrothorn, Magearna, and Celesteela. It also boosts the power of Hidden Power Fire on Tapu Lele and Latios to near flamethrower levels. Overall Charizard is a great threat in OU and Sun-Boosted STAB Fire Blast nukes nearly everything that stands in its way.

"Put the target on they head, dot 'em dot 'em dot 'em"

Ever since Generation 7 was introduced, the Guardian Deity has been dominating the OU tier and for a good reason too. Summoning auto-terrains can really support the rest of your team while boosting a STAB type to go with it. The best terrain put of them all though would have to be Psychic Terrain. The Psychic-type boost is great behind 130 Base Attack and the immunity to priority moves is another great bonus that really helps this team. As a scarfer with an immunity to priority, you can expect Tapu Lele to go first a majority of the time. This makes scarf Lele a great revenge-killer in OU. Psychic is used as a powerful Terrain-boosted STAB move that still does a decent chunk to resisted switchins. Psyshock is used to hit special walls that think they cam take a hit (RIP Chansey). Moonblast is for the Dark types that are immune to Psychic type moves. Hidden Power Fire is used for steel types that resist both of Lele's STABs. Usually, I will lead Lele because it can out speed most leads and forces a switch immediately. This Pokemon can eliminate common Charizard-Y answers like Chansey, Latios/Latias, and Toxapex with relative ease. Setting up Psychic Terrain really helps Latios (and itself) murder Pokemon with Psychic while avoiding super effective Priority like Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch and also allows Dugtrio to trap and kill Prioroty users. Overall, Tapu Lele is a great revenge killer and its ability helps support my team.

"Mama asked me 'Son, when the trappin' gon' quit?'"

When abilities came out in Gen 3, Dugtrio went from frail, outclassed ground type into the ultimate threat eliminator with Arena Trap. Then Gen 7 came around and gave it an attack buff. Now there's suspect tests and talks about bans. Whether or not it should be banned is a disucssion for somewhere else, but while it's available I'm gonna use it to the max. This Dugtrio does what all Dugtrios do. Trap and eliminate. Max Speed and Atrack is a must for Dugtrio allowing it to outspeed a good portion of the tier and hit them as hard as possible. Earthquake is my only attacking move on the set as it's a hard-hitting STAB attack. Groundium-Z allows a guarnteed OHKO on Tyranitar, Magearna, and Toxapex and can kill a lot of weakened mons as well. Screech is used to lower Chansey's defense so it can't just softboiled/wish up all the hits. Substiute is used to avoid Sucker Punches from Bisharp and Mawile and OHKO back with EQ. Remember not to use it under Psychic Terrain though. For the fourth move I went with Stealth Rock because I couldn't fit it on anything else and some games it can be vital. Dugtrio helps elimimate Chansey, Tyranitar, and Toxapex for Charizard, helps elimimate Magearna, Mawile, and Magnezone for Tapu Lele, and helps eliminate Heatran for both. Overall, Dugtrio does what it does on this team, and it does it well

your team pretty much seems to be a cool balance squad that relies on zard-y to break down the opposition with tapu lele to clean up. you have down the basics but there's a few changes I'd consider for maximum efficiency.

my first change would be mew > latios. the role of latios overlaps pretty heavily with toxapex in that it checks things like keldeo, opposing zard y, etc while being much more sustainable in the long run. mew would be a much more consistent defogger while also functioning as a good check to things like Zygarde, Medicham, Mawile, Landorus-T, and Magearna (which could be a huge threat if it is packing Electrium Z). Ice Beam is a good move here for picking off Zygarde which could prove annoying.

my next change would be swapping scizor for shift gear magearna. magearna gives you a functional sweeper (which you lacked before) while also providing itself as a decent buffer against things like lele, pinsir, and zam. the set provided below is the Z-Fleur Cannon set as it works well with dugtrio, but you can customize it to your liking. alternatively, you could go with automotize celesteela as it's a much better check to mega pinsir and garchomp but it exacerbates a weakness to tapu koko, however its worth mentioning that magearna could also make a weakness to koko due to the popularity of Z-Wild Charge.
Magearna @ Fairium-Z
Ability: Soul Heart
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Fleur Cannon
- Ice Beam
- Shift Gear

Celesteela @ Flyinium-Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Automotize
- Giga Drain
- Fire Blast
- Air Slash

my final and simplest change is toxic spikes > toxic as it makes breaking a lot easier for zard-y and sweeping for either magearna or celesteela. i'd also consider using black sludge or either shed shell if opposing dugtiro prove annoying.

i hope these changes prove to be helpful! have fun!
