Chatot Discussion

Last one died so.

76 HP/65 Attk/45 Def/92 SAttk/42 SDef/91 Spd

Ok, so it has good SpA and Spd, with terrible defenses.

Physical Movepool (NOOOOOOOO)

Return/Frustration
Aerial Ace
Thief
Steel Wing
Beak Peck
Somersault
Fly

Only good thing here is Somersault.

Special Movepool

Blabber
Hyper Voice
Hidden Power

lol, not even enough for a AG set.

Support

Night Shade
Scheme
Encore
Supersonic
Agility
Sing
Sub
Featherdance
Mimic
Feather Rest
Taunt

Ok, Scheme works nicely with its high Special Attack, Sing got Acc Up IIRC, while Feather Rest, Featherdance, Supersonic and Sub can help it last.

Ok, so Chatots not gonna be a top tier Standard poke, but I think, judging by its movepool, it could fare well in DP. It is exclusive in the fact it is a Special Normal/Flying poke besides Togekiss (Which will be OU) and Noctowl.

Chatot @ Adherence Glasses
Timid/Modest Nature

Blabber
Hyper Voice
HP Fighting
Somersault/Mimic

Fight/Fly has a large coverage, and anything else is hit by Hyper Voice. Somersault for a quick escape or Mimic to make up for its movepool

Chatot @ Life Orb
Timid/Modest Nature

Sing
Hyper Voice
Blabber
HP Fighting

Same as above, but Life Orb allows multiple Move usage, and Sing forces switches.

I would go for an Encore and Scheme set. Switch into an EQ or something, Encore it, Scheme on the switch and try to sweep, since this guy will be either UU or NU 91 Speed and 92 SAtk are good enough for a potential sweep.

@Life Orb
252 Speed / 252 SAtk / 6 HP. Timid/Modest
- Encore
- Scheme
- Hyper Voice
- Hidden Power [Fight / Ground / Ghost]

It's a shame this guy's special move-pool is so small. Hidden Power is essentially a necessity, just something to cover anything that resists Hyper Voice.

Blabber/Hyper Voice/Sing/Scheme (or Encore over Sing) in UU is the way to go. Try to get some Schemes up and hope your opponent doesn't have an Aggron (or kill the Aggron beforehand).

Blabber
Encore or Sing
Sub
Scheme
@Leftovers

Its an annoyer who confuses and boosts special attack power. Encore is there for obvious reasons, while sing has a more guaranteed use (less acc. but less situational), and basically you hide behind sub while you scheme as they hurt themselves in confusion. This basically allows you to annoy and build up power, granted its novelty, but it makes an interesting annoyer/potential sweeper set. And eventually people may switch out their confused pokemon if they get haxed, and it will give you time to Scheme.

*Otherwise: @ Leftovers/Filler.

Somersault
Sing
Blabber
Encore

Basically you Sing, then Blabber on the switch so they are confused, and Somersault out of there. Encore is if you switch into EQ/Shadow Ball.

@Leftovers

Sing
Night Shade
Blabber
Sub.

Sleep, Confuse on switch, Sub. until they hit themselves, and Night Shade them when your sub is up. *Hey it works better than Hyper Voice.

hm...I see a joltpass recipient

Chatot @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 SAtk/252 Spd/6 HP
Nature: Modest (SAtk+/Atk-)
- Scheme
- Blabber
- Hyper Voice
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

If Jolteon is seen, an EQ user comes out. Jolteon uses Substitute. Jolteon Agilities when the sub is broken by EQ. It passes to Chatot on the second EQ and Schemes on the switch. Now it can sweep.

In UU it might work too, you just have to find a different passer and it will own.
