Chesnaught CCloak BO

Zora489

I COULD BE BANNED!
Alright so, here we go. Currently have nothing to do and I've been liking this team. This team is chesnaught bulky offense, it consists of these 6 pokemon.

Star of the show :
80 PP (Chesnaught) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Bulletproof
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Spikes
- Synthesis

Chesnaught sits on literally every physical attacking OU threat with iron defense and reliable recovery in synthesis. It beats every version of garganacl in the form of PP stall, or straight up offense. As the name implies, chesnaught has 80 PP, while every garganacl set has at least 6 PP less than it. Now, considering you're only going to need to PP stall iron press fairy garg and tera ghost garg, the general method is using iron defense 3 times and spamming body press. This pokemon also absorbs shadow balls from specs pult/gholdengo and toxic' from opposing toxapex and clodsire. I personally chose ches because I saw people in the god forsaken OU room calling it trash, and people using garbage like rocky helm leech seed over iron press. Make sure to not get your ccloak knocked off by great tusk, unless you are sure it is tera water garg as you will lose to fairy/ghost if it is not, and you get cured. You also sit on opposing pex as none of its moves can hit you for real damage, and +6 body press does at minimum exactly 50%. (It can't switch in and haze because its a 75% it gets 2hko'd with 0 hazards up).

Relevant calcs against garg :
+6 252+ Def Chesnaught Body Press vs. +6 252 HP / 156+ Def Tera Water Garganacl: 88-105 (21.7 - 25.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

+6 0 Atk Tera Water Garganacl Earthquake vs. +6 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 22-27 (5.7 - 7.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Diabolical Duo :
Toxapex @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Sludge Bomb
- Infestation
- Acid Spray

Wow, assault vest pex. To keep it very simple, its great with chesnaught. It traps things like skeledirge, blocks stray draco meteors aimed at your other pokemon, and works as a special fortress while ches is the physical one. It has 8 speed Evs to creep calm mind hatterene, and max SPA to kill dirge/tusk in time. There's not really much to say about this mon other than that it auto walls just about every special pokemon in OU while also putting pressure on targetable mons that may pose a threat to you all while having "Infinite" recovery.

Hatterene Calcs :
252+ SpA Toxapex Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 182-216 (57.2 - 67.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Hatterene Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Toxapex: 156-186 (51.4 - 61.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
On +1 Hatterene :
252+ SpA Toxapex Acid Spray vs. +1 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 54-66 (16.9 - 20.7%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Toxapex Sludge Bomb vs. -1 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 270-320 (84.9 - 100.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
+1 0 SpA Hatterene Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Toxapex: 236-278 (77.8 - 91.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Single-Handedly the most versatile pokemon in OU :
Gholdengo @ Leftovers
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 196 SpD / 60 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Thunder Wave
- Recover

Spd gholdengo is a MONSTER for this team as well. It shrugs off hexes from pult like its nothing, resists meteors, spreads para, and makes a tusk switch in less likely as it takes 50% from shadow ball, and 70% from make it rain. Gholdengo is EV'd to neuter kingambit by outspeeding jolly kingambit by one point, and t-waving all while surviving its dark stabs as long as there aren't dead allies. It also walls iron valiant shadow ball, and knock off as you recover on the knock-off if you want to be safe and then it does at max 47%. Gholdengo adds longevity to the team, and overall feels like a nice inclusion because for some reason moonblast isn't a bullet move but focus blast is.

Relevant calcs for gholdengo :
252+ Atk Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo: 326-386 (86.2 - 102.1%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 196+ SpD Gholdengo: 264-312 (69.8 - 82.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Gholdengo Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Dragapult: 278-330 (87.6 - 104.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes
180 SpA Dragapult Hex (65 BP) vs. 252 HP / 196+ SpD Gholdengo: 134-162 (35.4 - 42.8%) -- 93.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Iron Valiant Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 196+ SpD Gholdengo: 134-158 (35.4 - 41.7%) -- 83% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Iron Valiant Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo: 148-176 (39.1 - 46.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (No Item)

The auto-include :
Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Close Combat

Great tusk preforms a myriad of niches on the team, as a hazard remover, to a dozo pressure pokemon, to an anti-stall stiletto muncher. Tusk pretty much does it all on the strictly offensive side of things. It also removes clodsires, which are incredibly annoying. But mainly, tusk is on here because it's well...tusk. And this team needed a way to pressure dozo into resting so you can clean up before sweeping with chesnaught. Pretty much, keep it alive till you're sure you can win without it and don't let corv come in unpunished on earthquake. Btw, eq is here so you have options for opposing tusks using headlong. Firm believer in eq>headlong on balance.

Yall should know your tusk calcs by now, but here's 2 you might not know :
252 Atk Great Tusk Earthquake vs. -1 0 HP / 4 Def Great Tusk: 195-231 (52.5 - 62.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Great Tusk: 156-184 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

The most annoying mon in OU :
Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ruination
- Whirlwind
- Stealth Rock
- Rest

Wait, what? Why does it have rest? And why does it have ruination over spikes lol?? First of all, rest gives ting lu the ability to stall out stall even under hazards. Along with PP stalling certain special pokemon and re-setting hazards every 2 seconds. 2nd, ruination is literally an auto 50% to any stall mon, while having 16 PP and it doesn't care how buff the opposing dozo is. Its great on ting lu, as it puts pretty much every pokemon into hazards + chip range no matter how strong. Lastly, you don't need spikes because chesnaught sets them already, and every matchup ches can't come in you're already facing a team with boots on the chippable pokemon and need to stall them out of strong moves first. Oh yeah, quick tip. Use whirlwind often. It blocks wish passing which is really nice for keeping dondozo low, and not running out of ruinations.

Pretty much no relevant calcs for Ting tbh, if don't know it 100% kills, it probably doesn't.

The last one :
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog

Corviknight, we've all been here before "What does it do for the team?" "Why not just use talon flame if band tera grass meowscarada annoys you so much?" "Skill issue". Well first off, corv is a leftovers pokemon that isn't weak to rocks. 1 Corv 0 Talonflame. Corv has u-turn and doesn't need to run air slash as a coverage move. 2 Corv 0 Talonflame. Corv doesn't give a single fuck about your hazards and knock off lol. 3 Corv 0 Talonflame. Yeah pretty much, corv is a strong defensive pivot that can ruination tusk with brave bird if needed.

Once again, no relevant calcs beside like tusk BB :
0 Atk Corviknight Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Great Tusk: 182-216 (49 - 58.2%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO

And well, yeah that's the team. I like it, and I think its good. If you have any questions add me on discord YugiohBoi333#9660, or find me in the OU room on showdown and I'll talk with you, since I'm there pretty much at all times. Thx for reading this RMT and leave suggestions/comments below.

Oh yeah here's a replay of me beating stall.
