Venusaur is a dangerous sun sweeper that utilizes its good coverage and high power when boosted by Growth to seriously threaten offensive and bulky teams alike. Giga Drain is the preferred Grass STAB, as its healing capacity allows Venusaur to somewhat offset Life Orb recoil and potentially give Venusaur more opportunities to wallbreak or sweep. Weather Ball gives Venusaur a powerful Fire-type move under sun that smashes through Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Gholdengo. Sludge Bomb is preferred in the final moveslot to hit Dragon-types like Mega Latios and Dragonite while also hitting Moltres and Mega Charizard Y hard. However, Earth Power can be used instead to hit Heatran and deal more damage to Toxapex and Raging Bolt. A Modest Nature and a Life Orb are required to overcome Venusaur's underwhelming special attack while still letting it outrun common Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Gholdengo.

Venusaur only fits on dedicated full sun teams. Torkoal is a mandatory partner, as it is a Drought user that can hold Heat Rock and supports Venusaur via setting up Stealth Rock, therefore giving it an easier time breaking through threats such as Gliscor, Landorus-T, and Mega Latios. Mega Charizard Y may seem like an appealing teammate, but this proves to be an awkward fit due to the limited sun duration Mega Charizard Y provides. Venusaur is not bulky and can struggle to get on the field safely, so a pivoting teammate such as Tornadus-T, Eject Button Hatterene, and Raging Bolt makes for a good partner. Great Tusk, as well as the aforementioned Raging Bolt, form a devastating offensive core with Venusaur since they all break past each others' checks such as Alomomola, Gliscor, and Dragonite respectively; Great Tusk also improves the longevity of Torkoal and Venusaur by removing hazards. The aforementioned duo can also check Heatran, which completely walls Venusaur lacking Earth Power. Venusaur will often struggle to break past Dragon-types like defensive Garchomp or Dragonite without team support even when boosted, so a teammate that can deal with them, such as Hatterene, Kartana, and Tinkaton make for good teammates; the latter two can also set Stealth Rock to give Venusaur an easier time sweeping.

Venusaur is a dangerous sun sweeper that utilizes its good coverage and high power when boosted by Growth to seriously threaten offensive and bulky teams alike. Growth allows Venusaur to boost its Special Attack by two stages under sun, giving it a needed boost in power as Venusaur is not very strong unboosted. dex info, ur better off talking abt how venu sets up on stuff like ferro and woger Giga Drain is the preferred Grass STAB, as its healing capacity allows Venusaur to somewhat offset Life Orb recoil and potentially give Venusaur more opportunities to wallbreak or sweep. Weather Ball gives Venusaur a powerful Fire-type move under sun that smashes through Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Gholdengo. Venusaur only fits on dedicated full sun teams. Torkoal is an almost a u dont mention ninetales so this is the best u got (not like its ranked anyways) mandatory partner, as it can hold Heat Rock and supports Venusaur via setting up Stealth Rock, therefore giving it an easier time breaking through threats such as Gliscor, Landorus-T, and Mega Latios. Mega Charizard Y may seem like an appealing teammate, but this proves to be an awkward fit due to the limited sun duration Mega Charizard Y provides. Venusaur is not bulky and can struggle to get on the field safely, so a pivoting teammate such as Tornadus-T, (RC) ive never seen tornT be used on full sun Eject Button Hatterene, or Raging Bolt makes for a good partner. Great Tusk, as well as the aforementioned Raging Bolt, also stand out for their Protosynthesis ability, which lets them gain significant power under sun and filler form a devastating offensive core with Venusaur since they all break past each others' checks such as Alomomola, Gliscor, and Dragonite respectively; Great Tusk also takes pressure off of the Stealth Rock weak Torkoal to remove improves the longevity of Torkoal and Venusaur by removing hazards. The aforementioned duo can also check Heatran, which completely walls Venusaur lacking Earth Power. Venusaur will often struggle to break past Dragon-types such as defensive Garchomp this can be whatever tbf i just felt like mentioning this was needed without team support even when boosted, so a teammate that can deal with them, such as Hatterene, Clefable i was gonna put kart here but its up to u; but ive never seen clef be used on full sun, and Tinkaton make for good teammates; the latter two can also set Stealth Rock to give Venusaur an easier time sweeping.

Mega Charizard Y may seem like an appealing teammate, but this proves to be an awkward fit due to the limited sun duration Mega Charizard Y provides.
