Choice Scarf Hydreigon provides powerful speed control for an offensive pivot thanks to its high Special Attack and strong STAB combination, and it's an amazing revenge killer against fast offensive threats like Latios, Greninja, and Zarude. Fire Blast is Hydreigon's best coverage move against Steel-types like Cobalion and Tinkaton. U-turn helps Hydreigon keep up momentum and take advantage of switch-ins like Tornadus-T and Tyranitar. Tera Fire powers up Fire Blast, allowing Hydreigon to OHKO Zarude and Serperior, and gives a high chance to KO Tinkaton after Spikes. Tera Fire also provides a good defensive typing against priority users like Scizor and Lokix as well as Fairy-types like Tinkaton and Enamorus-T, but it does give Hydreigon a Stealth Rock weakness. Alternatively, Tera Dark makes Hydreigon's Dark Pulse even more spammable, and it removes Hydreigon's Ice weakness to help it tolerate Ice Shard from Weavile. A Timid nature lets Hydreigon outspeed +1 Jolly maximum Speed Excadrill, but this is the only matchup that it's useful for.

Pivots like Tornadus-T, Lokix, and Cobalion can join with Hydreigon to form deadly Voltturn cores on offensive team. Slower pivots like Slowking and Scizor can bring in Hydreigon more safely, enabling it to fire off its attacks against checks to them like Hydrapple, Greninja, and Heatran. Hydreigon is threatened by priority users like Conkeldurr, Slither Wing, and Lokix, so Flying- and Fairy-types like Skarmory, Salamence, Tinkaton, and Enamorus-T make good teammates. Entry hazard removal from Excadrill keeps Hydreigon healthier as it pivots on and off the field, and Excadrill appreciates Hydreigon's potency against threats like Sinistcha, Gyarados, and Zarude. Excadrill and other hazard setters like Heatran and Sandy Shocks helps chip down answers to Hydreigon like Assault Vest Tornadus-T. Spikes support from setters like Deoxys-S and Ogerpon helps wear down checks to Hydreigon like Cobalion and Tyranitar much more quickly. Hydreigon is unfortunately slower than Deoxys-S, Speed Booster Energy Iron Jugulis, and +1 Dragon Dance Salamence, so it relies on teammates like Scizor and Skeledirge to handle them.

Fire Blast is Hydreigon's best coverage move against Steel-types like Cobalion and Tinkaton. U-turn helps Hydreigon keep up momentum and take advantage of switch-ins like Tornadus-T and Tyranitar. Levitate also synergizes with U-turn by providing Hydreigon immunity from being worn down by Spikes set by Skarmory and Deoxys-S. I don't think this is necessary to state. Tera Fire powers up Fire Blast, allowing Hydreigon to OHKO Zarude and Serperior, and gives a high chance to KO Tinkaton after Spikes. to the point of OHKOing Tinkaton 75% of the time after Spikes damage. The Steel resistance Tera Fire provides comes in handy against Bullet Punch from Scizor and Metagross, and Hydreigon enjoys shedding its Bug weakness against First Impression from Lokix and Slither Wing. Tera Fire can also helps Hydreigon defensively against Fairy-types like Tinkaton, Fezandipiti, and Enamorus-T.

I would reduce this to something like 'Tera Fire also provides defensive typing/resistance against Pokemon like Scizor, Lokix, and Tinkaton.' It would reduce how lengthy this is for essentially saying a similar thing in all three lines. Then, I would mention the downside of being weak to SR if Tera is committed.

Alternatively, Tera Dark makes Hydreigon's Dark Pulse even more spammable, and it removes Hydreigon's Ice weakness to help it tolerate Ice Shard from Weavile.

Briefly mention how a Timid nature can be used to outspeed +1 Jolly Excadrill, but that is the only matchup it is useful for.

Excadrill and other hazard setters like Heatran and Sandy Shocks helps chip down answers to Hydreigon like Assault Vest Tornadus-T, while Hydreigon encourages Stealth Rock damage to rack up as it forces foes out and launches off its powerful attacks. Spikes support from setters like Deoxys-S and Ogerpon-C Base has an easier time fitting Spikes helps wear down checks to Hydreigon like Cobalion and Tyranitar much more quickly. Steel-types like Scizor, Heatran, and Tinkaton are all helpful to cover for Hydreigon's 4x weakness to Fairy, while Hydreigon can switch into and offensively threaten Sandy Shocks, Rotom-W, and other Electric-types.

This is fine, but you mentioned plenty of these examples before, so this point could be briefly mentioned somewhere prior (I don't mind it being left out tbh). I would rather have a point about how Hydreigon is slower than Deoxys-S, Iron Jugulis, and Dragon Dance Salamence, so partners like Scizor and Skeledirge can help.

Very well written analysis, just updated the mentions to be more recent due to rises.
