[SET COMMENTS]
This Duraludon set functions as an offensive set utilizing its unique Steel / Dragon typing to beat many of the metagame's most prominent threats such as Jirachi, Dracovish, and Zeraora. Draco Meteor is Duraludon's most reliable STAB move, hitting the likes of Zeraora, Dracovish, Choice Scarf Rotom-H, and non-stall Rotom-W. Flash Cannon hits Fairy-types like non-Curse Mimikyu and non-Babiri Berry Whimsicott super effectively. Thunderbolt is a great Electric-type coverage move, handling Steel-types like Jirachi and Corviknight. Steel Beam is required to guarantee the KO on other Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Togekiss, but the drawback of Steel Beam potentially KOing the user makes Flash Cannon the more reliable option in most cases. The EVs on this set are tailored to survive strong physical attacks like Jolly Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan and +2 Crustle's Earthquake. However, Duraludon hates matchups against Pokemon are faster than itself or can take a multitude of its attacks like Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Sawk, Aegislash, and Primarina, as they can use their respective strategies to counteract Duraludon.
Primarina is an amazing teammate for Duraludon, as it can handle Fire-, Dragon-, and Ground-types that Duraludon struggles against like Rotom-H, Choice Specs Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Excadrill. In return, Duraludon can handle Pokemon like Jirachi and Zeraora that Primarina has a hard time against. Due to Duraludon's pitiful Special Defense, having special tanks or Pokemon that can lower the opponent's Special Attack to patch up its weakness like Sylveon and Mandibuzz is very helpful. Duraludon also struggles against stall users like Type: Null and Ferrothorn that either can bolster their Special Defense or are bulky enough to beat it one-on-one; as a result, wallbreakers like Sawk and Nasty Plot Hydreigon can prove to be strong allies. In return, Duraludon can mitigate their weaknesses to Pokemon that can take an attack from or OHKO them like Quick Attack Sylveon and Golisopod.
