Choice Specs Garchomp?

I was thinking about how to make Garchomp a bit different, and then the Chain Chomp set inspired me.
What would a SpecsChomp do?
Would it be effective?
What kind of set would it use?

Well, I've come up with this:

Garchomp @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature(+SpAtk, - Atk)
~Surf
~Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor
~Flamethrower
~Hidden Power Electric
252 SpAtk/252 Spe/4 HP

Okay, so my thought behind this for surprise, and at the same time, deal some damage. Now, Surf is for things like Heatran, Moltres, and other rock/steel types that can maybe survive and EQ(if they were expecting a Physical set), while their special defense is lacking.
Dragon Pulse is, of course, for other dragons and STAB. Flamethrower is for grass/ice types, and Hidden Power electric for for nasty water types that may threaten.

Thoughts behind this?

Surf to 252SpD/252 HP Hippo:
227-267

Draco Meteor to 252SpD/252 HP Hippo
250-294

Flamethrower to 252SpD/252 HP Tangrowth
278-326

HP Electric to 252SpD/252 HP Suicune
125-147

HP Electric to 252SpD/252 HP Slowbro
158-186

Draco Meteor to 252 SpD/252 HP Cresselia
170-200

Outrage(CB + Max Attack) to 252D/252 HP Cresselia
206-243

Hm, looking at the calcs, it could be a late game sweeper, coming in to clean things up. It can do some damage to Hippo.
I may try this out, and see how it works out.

In my opinion it is more of a gimmick than anything else. Sure you get the OMG it is special zomg! effect once an opponent sends a physical wall, but the suprise ends there.

Then instead of using his 130 base attack, you are using 80 base special...

It seems as useful as choice specs gyara... It works for 1-2 moves, then just drags the team down more often then not.

Also does a special attack from him even 1hko his normal switch ins? If not then it is not even partially useful as your opponent will then realize they need to send in their special wall... unless the opponent somehow decides not to switch.

If you are gonna prove something we need calculations.

Also, a dragon choice specser without draco meteor is almost a crime.

Sorry, but this sounds about as bad as Choice Specs Slaking. You get the suprise factor, but otherwise is really, REALLY inneffective, and basically is not only an inferior Chain Chomp, but also an inferior Garchomp altogether.

i dont know about anyone else, but i havent memorized every major walls max HP assuming perfect ivs, so i would appreciate it if the calculations also gave percentages.

The calculations you posted are more evidence against the set than for it...

In short, this is pretty gimmicky.
