Choice Specs Gengar is a potent pick as a wallbreaker on Ghost teams thanks to its high Special Attack and Speed stat along with excellent coverage options and a good typing. Sludge Wave threatens Grass- and Fairy-types such as Rillaboom, Togekiss, Primarina, and Clefable. It also massively damages any unresisted foe such as Hydreigon or Indeedee, both of which can otherwise take or ignore Shadow Ball. Focus Blast provides very important coverage against Tyranitar, Diggersby, and Incineroar. Thunderbolt pressures Water-types such as Keldeo and Toxapex, as well as Flying-types such as Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Mantine. Trick can cripple bulky walls such as Chansey, which is otherwise hard to wear down. Gengar's Special Attack and Speed EVs alongside a Timid nature and Choice Specs allow it to hit as hard and be as fast as possible. It's also very frail, so it should be brought in against resisted attacks or predicted switches.

Dragapult serves as an efficient late-game cleaner with Dragon Dance, being able to clean teams easily and outspeed almost the entire metagame after a boost. Choice Scarf Dragapult can also be used to revenge kill fast threats such as Zeraora, Sand Rush Excadrill, and Swift Swim Kingdra. Mimikyu is a great late-game cleaner, as its ability Disguise allows it to blanket check many Pokemon and pick off weakened foes in tandem with Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak. Its unique Ghost / Fairy typing also helps it play a crucial role in revenge killing Dark-types for the team. Galarian Corsola provides a defensive backbone for the team thanks to its good bulk, which allows it to annoy physical attackers with the combination of Will-O-Wisp and Strength Sap. In addition, its access to Stealth Rock makes Gengar a more consistent wallbreaker. Aegislash is incredibly versatile, as it can be a specially defensive wall with SubToxic, wearing down special attackers such as Jirachi and Celebi, or a Swords Dance wallbreaker. Additionally, it can check other Fairy-types that Choice Specs Gengar has trouble revenge killing, such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir. Jellicent provides a useful Water immunity for Ghost teams, keeping Dracovish, Keldeo, and Barraskewda in check. Alolan Marowak and SubCM Chandelure are powerful wallbreakers that easily handle Ice, Grass, and Steel teams. Alolan Marowak provides a useful Electric immunity for Ghost teams thanks to its ability Lightning Rod. Chandelure can also punish Sucker Punch users such as Bisharp and Skuntank, which are huge threats to Ghost teams. Froslass acts as a fast Spikes setter on hyper offensive teams that can prevent entry hazards from the opposing team thanks to Taunt.

As mentioned before in your RMT, Trick is pretty good on Gengar, and Ghost does not have a lot of things that properly deal with fat such as Toxapex. For move 4, it should be Trick/Dazzling Gleam/Thunderbolt in that order, focus blast is enough for the dark matchup and mimikyu can handle dark pretty great if setup correctly.

With a high Special Attack and Speed stat, Choice Specs Gengar is able function as a potent wallbreaker and revenge killer on Ghost teams. Sludge Wave is Gengar's strongest STAB move and is essentially used to effectively hit neutral Pokemon like Rotom-Heat and Indeedee, as well as Fairy-type Pokemon such as Clefable and Togekiss. Shadow Ball is capable of offensively checking threats like Hippowdon and is great against Psychic and opposing Ghost teams.(list examples of what reliable Psychic-type and Ghost-type Pokemon Shadow Ball hits) Focus Blast can be used against Dark types such as Tyranitar and Incineroar, as well as Steel types like Ferrothorn and other Pokemon that are not named Aegislash. (uneeded information, just say the FB hits Dark-type Pokemon and Steel-type Pokemon, list examples and keep it moving. Technically Focus Blast doesn't hit Doublade and Honedge, but you know, I don't feel like that line needs to be in an analysis)Thunderbolt is an important coverage option on Ghost teams for being able to effectively revenge kill Water-type teams, usually containing Pokemon such as Keldeo and Toxapex. Despite Gengar's great offensive stats, it should only be used to revenge kill and wallbreak certain Pokemon, as it is constantly forced to switch out whenever it's locked into one of it's moves and is outsped by other faster revenge killers such as Dragapult and Choice Band Zeraora. Thus, Gengar highly appreciates it's teammates being able to take care of faster revenge killers and other Pokemon that can switch into Gengar's locked moves. Choice Scarf Dragapult is the fastest Pokemon on Ghost teams and is always paired with Choice Specs Gengar, as it's incredible Speed stat is capable of outspeeding +2 Cloyster(don't say +2, say Dragapult outspeeds Cloyster after one Shell Smash), Choice Scarf Dracovish and Zeraora, which can all be major threats. Corsola-Galar is a mandatory physical wall, as it can tank hits from the likes of Mamoswine and Gyarados, as well as Will-O-Wisp them to halve their Attack stats along with Strength Sap, which lowers their Attack stat and takes advantage of it by gaining reliable recovery at the same time. (GP will help you shorten this and rephrase after QC is done)Additionally, it sets up Stealth Rock for the team and it's ability in Cursed Body can also be a nuisance for opponents to deal with. SubToxic Aegislash serves as the special wall of the team, checking special attackers such as Toxtricity and Duraludon and slowly wearing off other Pokemon with the combination of Substitute + Toxic.(mention the versatility of aegislash's sets, subtoxic is not the only set it runs.) Instead I want you to add matchups like Water, Steel and Ground which have really hard time switching into specs shadow ball.

* ' Sludge Wave can threaten Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tangrowth, Togekiss, and Clefable, and massively damages any unresisted foe such as Amoonguss and Rotom-H.' Tangrowth is not even on VR so please remove it. You can add Rillaboom over it. Amoongus and Rotom-H are also hit hard by Shadow Ball so here give examples of Pokemon that resist Shadow Ball but take a lot of damage from Sludge wave like Hydreigon, and Incineroar.

* ' Dazzling Gleam allows Gengar to hit Sableye, Mandibuzz, and Kommo-o super effectively.' Add Urshifu and Hydreigon to the list, remove sableye.

* You may also give 1-2 usage tip on how to use Specs Gengar during battle.

- move sludge wave to the 1st move and make shadow ball the 2nd move. on the fourth move slot, slash Thunderbolt / Trick and completely remove Dazzling Gleam. reorder these in the paragraph as well.
- when you move sludge wave to slot 1 make it clear that its the go-to move, also in the shadow ball sentence just say its strong Ghost STAB. You don't need more than that since its for Ghost. add primarina to sludge wave targets
- mention thunderbolt hits flying types namely corviknight and mandibuzz
- gastrodon feels like a weird example for trick, I think just keeping it as Chansey is fine tbh
- i told you to remove dgleam because i would never use it but ill explain why these explains are blah anyway. urshifu just clicks sucker punch vs gengar, hydreigon gets hit by focus blast, mandi gets hit by tbolt, and kommo is trash
- add a line in the first paragraph that explains choice specs + its evs/nature allow it to hit as fast and powerful as possible or something along those lines
- would mention dragon dance dragapult as the teammate over scarf. you can give a short mention on scarf after the dd sentence.
- move froslass to the last teammate of the paragraph
- galarian corsola is the best hazard setter on ghost teams
- explain subtoxic aegi a bit more, make its own sentence and move it before the offensive set
- make mimikyu the teammate after dragapult, it and gengar form the most potent offensive core for ghost teams
- talk about chandelure and alolan marowak and say how they fill similar roles (steelbreaker) but in different ways. keep the part abt marowaks elec immunity in there
- add jellicent as a water immunity, shit like dracovish is p common and its a good pokemon on ghost teams

(the "or" change was really good, though I'm kinda iffy on the changes on the "which" phrase. I think it can be rewritten / edited more concisely and without resorting to using "respectively" (most of the time, respectively can be avoided, as readers mostly know the which ones refer to which. I would have _personally_ done one of the following:

"It also massively damages any unresisted foe such as Hydreigon or Indeedee, which can otherwise take or ignore Shadow Ball."

"It also massively damages any unresisted foe such as Hydreigon or Indeedee, which are otherwise resistant or immune to Shadow Ball."

Note the "or" between "take" and "ignore" here. I feel like it fits better than "and". Then again, these are just nitpicks.)


Its Special Attack and Speed EVs alongside a Timid Nature and a (I think this should not be here; you also missed "Nature") Choice Specs allows allow Gengar to hit as hard and be as fast as possible.
