I'm not a gen 9 player by any means, but I made this team before DLC2 dropped based on leaks and theorycrafting. I think it's a decent squad and has ways to cheese through most MUs due to para in serp and zap, or a well-timed tera with one of your setup mons. Enjoy the team!

The Team

Cinccino (F) @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Tidy Up
- Tail Slap
- Rock Blast
- Knock Off
Cinccino at first doesn't seem like it has a niche over Maushold, who did tidy up shenanigans pre DLC. However, it has pretty cool traits I wanted to utilise. Namely, I wanted to use tera rock rock blast to smack skeledirge and birds, which are annoying for zama and serp. Also, knock off might be a better move than bite. This mon is also the hazard control option on this team and punishes specs pult from clicking ghost move all game. Unlike maus, cinccino has some midgame utility since you don't automatically die if you land against helmet users, so you can double out on their expected serp check and click tail slap, since they probably fear tidy up. Technician loaded dice tail slap hits incredibly hard on most neutral switches, and best case scenario you can get a knock off on dirge, corv etc.

Zamazenta @ Leftovers
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Heavy Slam
- Crunch
Zama was an automatic inclusion to the team since this mon was used a lot with maushold pre DLC. It synergises with cinccino well since they both are checked by ghold and work together to beat it down. If it's recover ghold, there's a higher chance that serp can muscle through it or heatran outspeeds. ID 3 attacks is an unconventional choice but it allows zama to snipe their val or enam with slam. Toxic gliscor isn't as much of an issue since tran is balloon, so sub isn't necessary on this zama.

Serperior (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 120 HP / 136 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Tera Blast
- Glare
- Substitute
Serperior is usually my lead in this team (unless vs HO) and this mon's purpose is to trade down and spread para. Tera fairy was chosen so infiltrator pult can't revenge with draco, and fairy has good neutral coverage as well as cteaming dragons such as hydrapple. I find serp to not even need tera most of the time, since mono leaf storm is usually good enough and you can glare their grass resist anyways. Unfortunately for this team, serp is the water resist and so the team kinda sucks vs rain (you have to tera zap), so play very carefully vs rain.

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect
Balloon tran is this team's glue and rocker. This was chosen to keep rocks up vs defog corv structures, and to trap stuff like pex for your val/zama/cinccino. Protect over taunt is mainly for specs kyurem, but also to scout for tera on something like volc, or scout if their dirge has ground coverage. Also scouts something like specs pult/scarf ghold. With tera fairy and balloon you completely blank the new entei mon, so if it gets out of hand you always have tran to beat it. Max speed allows you to outspeed more tusk so you can either keep rocks up or chip it for cinccino. Also beats clod which would otherwise wall serp and zap.

Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
Spdef zap isn't seen much in gen9 but I decided to use it to check serp, torn, defensive ghold, and take hits from darkrai better. Twave was chosen as the last move to neutralise threats like darkrai, dnite, volcarona, deo-s, etc. and also make it a lot more awkward to switch into especially with volt for momentum. This mon volts out on special walls like bliss, or allows you to make doubles into their ting-lu into something like serp. Zap is a really good pick on this BO team since it kinda just beats everything with its bulk, typing, and twave.

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Encore
Val was chosen as the team's cleaner, and this mon also synergises with its teammates since it enjoys having ghold weakened, or potentially dirge gone through cinccino. Tera steel was chosen to resist dnite's espeed and to beat pex if it lacks an attacking move. It also allows you to emergency check iron boulder and beat some glowking. Encore is similar to taunt in which you can use it on their fat mon to prevent healing, or to encore setup sweepers vs HO. Ice punch for gliscor/lando which both annoy cinccino. Usually this mon is my tera user since you can setup a val sweep with team support like serp's glare or gholdengo chipped/removed.
