    • Thick with mist and legend, this hamlet is host to peculiar citizens: friendly faces during the day turn into monstrous frowns at night, or lone wolves in the sun change into tame sheep when basked in moonlight. The village has learned to live with this celestial metronome, but you will certainly have to adapt.
    • When sending in their team, players will organize their Pokemon into Pairings; with the earlier Pokemon said to be "paired first" and the other Pokemon "paired second".
      • Example: A player might send out the pair ":solrock:Solrock / :lunatone:Lunatone". Solrock is paired first and Lunatone is paired second.
    • To send out a Pairing, the player may send out either Pokemon.
      • Example: A player may send out a :salamence:Salamence/:gengar:Gengar pairing as Salamence, to benefit from Salamence's Intimidate; or as Gengar, to take less damage from Stealth Rock.
      • If any Pokemon in the pair has a cost to send out, that cost will be paid regardless of how the pair is sent out.
    • When a Paired Pokemon is issued orders:
      • If it was issued orders first: That Pokemon becomes the paired-first Pokemon in its Pairing.
      • If it was issued orders second or later: That Pokemon becomes the paired-second Pokemon in its Pairing.
    • When a Paired Pokemon replaces their partner in this way:
      • The replacing Paired Pokemon inherits the missing HP, missing Energy, held items, and the rest of the battle status of their replaced partner. This may result in the Pokemon fainting upon replacement.
      • Players issue orders for the Pokemon their pairing will become (sprite, name, and all), not necessarily for the Pokemon they currently have.
      • This replacement is instant. Paired Pokemon don't enter or leave play when replacing their Paired partner.
