Dragon Pulse provides strong neutral coverage against Water-resistant targets such as Lanturn, Toxicroak, and Venusaur. Aura Sphere hits Snorlax, Glastrier, and Magneton for large super effective damage while Sludge Bomb hits Grass-types such as Whimsicott and Shaymin. Tera Dragon not only allows Clawitzer to resist the common Electric- and Grass-type attacks aimed at it, but it also boosts the power of Dragon Pulse to skull crushing power, 2HKO'ing both Lanturn and Muk. Clawitzer fits best on Balance teams, who appreciate its ability to softcheck Pokemon such as Glastrier and Charizard while outputting immense damage. Pivot Pokemon such as Mesprit and Passimian are great partners for Clawitzer, as they can help get it in safely against Pokemon such as Spiritomb and Sandslash that can be threatened out easily by Clawitzer. While it has coverage to deal with common special walls, Clawitzer still appreciates Pokemon such Regirock and Shaymin that can help check common special walls such as Snorlax and Lanturn respectively.
