Cllerarotost (UU)

Weird name? I just took the first two letters of the name of the Pokemon and added them together!

Anyways, this is the team that helped me win a UU Smogon Tour and got me to first on the UU Ladder around a week ago. This is mostly an offensive team that relies a lot on resistances and immunities (8 immunities to be exact: Ghost, Fire, Normal, Ground, Fighting, Electric, Water and Poison), with some defensive capabilities to find the right time to strike. The team was built before the latest movement of BL Pokemon to UU, but it has done just as well since then (even though some of them are quiet troublesome, but I have managed around them).

The reason I am posting this is because I want to force myself to build another UU team, since I am the kind of player that once I find a team I like and win with, usually find it very hard to build another one (lazyness too lol). I'm a VERY slow team builder, and usually takes a lot of testing for me to reach something I am satisfied with. This team, for example, is at version 10.01 (yes, I give the team a version number each time I change something!), which is around 15 different team files saved (yes, I save each version too!).

I'll probably still use this team once in a while. There are probably a lot of things that could make it better, so that's where your suggestions come handy ;)

I haven't posted a RMT is quiet a loooooooooooong time, so here we go!

Clefable (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 240 HP/244 Atk/8 Spd/16 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Facade
- Wish
- Protect
- Fire Blast

An amazing lead. I always wanted to try Facade Clefable, and it has not disappointed. Fire Blast is for those Steelix, it won't 2HKO, but I don't really need it. I used to have Softboiled, but Wish has helped this team a lot. Adamant allows for good damage (260 Att, yeah I like round numbers so you will notice that's why some IVs seem a bit weird). Lots of HP allows me to take hits, some SDef helps a bit since Clefable will be switching to Special attacks most of the time. Some Spd to outrun min-speed Clefables. I'm thinking about giving her more SpDef, thoughts?

I tried Rest-talk Kangaskhan instead of Clefable in the lastest version, but that doesn't seem to be working well for me, so I'm staying with Clefable here.

Leafeon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 200 HP/56 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Baton Pass
- Leaf Blade
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack

Passes Swords Dance around to a physical oriented team. Max speed to pass before they attack her and to atleast tie with other Pokemon with 95 base speed (like Primeape). Lots of HP to take a hit a our two so it can pass safely if the opponent is faster. Quick Attack has proven to be very useful in fishing off weakened opponent, and while sometimes I wish I had Aerial Ace there, Quick Attack has saved me a lot of times.

rapidash.png

Rapidash (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 8 HP/248 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Megahorn
- Hypnosis
- Return

An amazing physical attacker that can easily sweep teams if she gets a Swords Dance boost from Leafeon. The HP EVs allow for max Leftovers recovery + 1 more to survive 4 Stealth Rocks if for some reason someone uses Hail/Sandstorm. Having Leftovers allows Rapidash to last a while longer since she doesn't like Stealth Rock, and to soften the damage from Flare Blitz. Megahorn hurts those Psychic types, Return for everything else. Hypnosis puts whatever they send to counter her to sleep. Sometimes I wish I had Quick Attack, but Return is needed to beat Ninetales. Rapidash has saved me a lot of times by absorbing random Will-o-Wisp (Rotom, Weezing) and dealing inmense damage back with Flare Blitz.

rotom.png

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Light Screen

This little dude has been amazing. I used to have DD Altaria here at first, but Water types with Ice Beam (mostly Blastoise) were giving me trouble. I then had Pelipper, who could poison Water types and take Fighting attacks. But after trying out Rotom, the success of this team sky-rocketed. It provides very useful resistances and immunities, and deals a good deal of damage with Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball. Light Screen allows him to support my team, which is somewhat weak to Special attacks. Will-o-Wisp helps cripple physical attackers.

toxicroak.png

Toxicroak (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 8 HP/248 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop
- Sucker Punch
- Stone Edge

All-out attacking Toxicroak, since I am trying to pass Swords Dance to him. I needed him since I was weak to Water moves, and also helps remove Toxic Spikes. Helps a lot in countering Rain Dance teams. Weezing sucks.

steelix.png

Steelix (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP/124 Atk/136 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

I needed him to take on Swellow and other normal physical attackers. Sets up Stealth Rock and Roars away stat uppers. Adamant because I like the extra damage and because 436 defense if enough for my tastes. Crunch for those pesky Ghosts (Rotom) and Claydol.

Weaknesses:
Lead Drifblims can be very troublesome since Clefable really can't do anything to it, which is why I tried Kangaskhan, but that really hasn't work so well. Usually I have to try to Roar Drifblim with Steelix.

Aerodactyl can deal some damage, but if it's CB I can predict around it. If it's Life Orb'd, it will probably take a sacrefice (mostly Steelix) to take it out, but I have been able to beat it.

Weezing is tough, but I can usually get Rapidash in on a Fire Blast/Will-o-Wisp and sleep it or Flare Blitz it to hell.

Well, rate/comment/whatever.

Super Quick comment

Looks pretty solid so just one small thing

1. Change Jolly on Rotom to Timid. I assume that's just a misclick but w/e.

Switch Rapidash to Ninetales with Hypnosis, Energy Ball, Fire Blast/Flamethrower and Nasty Plot.

You need Special attackers or you'll simply just get walled by things like Weezing or Steelix for sure.

Rotom should be Timid just like the guy above me said. I also see your team get walled by Lanturn other than maybe Toxicroak.

Oh lol, I didn't notice the Jolly on Rotom. I have been playing with Jolly Rotom all this time! Now I feel dumb.

About Ninetales, I use Rapidash because this is intended to be a physical attacking team, and Rapidash works great when passed a Swords Dance. Steelix is easily worn down by my team. Weezing, on the other hand, is a bit troublesome. I usually predict a fire move from Weezing and switch in Rapidash, who can put it to sleep and can 2HKO sometimes with boosted Flare Blitz. Rotom can also beat it thanks to Light Screen (and it should be easier now that it's Timid LOL). Ideally, Weezing switches in on Leafeon while Leafeon uses Swords Dance and then passes the boost to Clefable or Rapidash.

I'm not worried about Lanturn, since most of the team members can hit it hard if it tries to switch in. Clefable can also beat it.

Thanks for the comments so far, I will probably expreriment around with the suggestions (and definitely change the nature on Rotom xD )
