move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Scald
move 3: Secret Sword
move 4: Taunt
item: Leftovers
ability: Justified
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Scald is preferred to extra power of Hydro Pump because it allows Keldeo to harass common cores like Tapu Bulu + Heatran.

* Secret Sword allows Keldeo to beat Chansey and pressure Assault Vest Tangrowth.

* Calm Mind allows Keldeo to threaten fat teams.

* Taunt shuts down walls like Celesteela and Toxapex and enables Keldeo to break stall.

Set Details
========

* Leftovers is used for longevity against Heatran and Celesteela.

Usage Tips
========

* Keldeo can be used early- to mid-game to soften up its checks for late-game.

* You should spam Scald for fishing burns on the likes of Mega Latias, Mega Latios, and Tapu Bulu.

* You should setup Keldeo on Pokemon that Keldeo forces out, such as Heatran, Ash-Greninja, and Celesteela, but before it you should weaken Keldeo's checks enough. Use Taunt on passive Pokemon like Toxapex, Chansey, and Celesteela to block their recovery and possible status moves.

* Play Keldeo aggresively vs stall, but be aware of Clefable, because Keldeo lacks of enough power to beat it.

Team Options
========

* Keldeo fits on offensive teams that need a stallbreaker and Keldeo's defensive utility against Pokemon like Heatran.

* Bulky Psychic-types like Mega Latias and Mega Latios are very problematic for Keldeo, so Pursuit trappers like both Tyranitar forms and Weavile are great teammates.

* Other breakers like aforementioned Weavile and Flyinium Z Landorus-T can form strong wallbreaking cores alongside Keldeo. These two also can break through bulky Grass-types, namely Tapu Bulu, for Keldeo.

* Entry hazards from the likes of Mega Tyranitar and Ferrothorn help Keldeo to do its job more efficiently.

* While Keldeo can check Ash-Greninja, it's a very soft check to it. Another Ash-Greninja checks such as Tangrowth, Toxapex, and Tapu Bulu are necessary to run alongside Keldeo.

* Keldeo appreciates checks to troublesome bulky Grass-types like Tornadus-T being its teammates.

Moves

Mention that Scald is preferred to the extra power of Hydro Pump because it allows Keldeo to harass common cores like Heatran + Tapu Bulu.

Mention that Secret Sword allows Keldeo to beat Chansey and pressure Assault Vest Tangrowth.

* Calm Mind allows Keldeo to threaten fat teams, especially stall.

* Taunt shuts down walls like Celesteela and Slowbro Toxapex, further increases Keldeo's stallbreaking capabilities, and enables Keldeo to actually beat Toxapex in 1v1 situation.

Set Details
========

* Leftovers allows Keldeo to stay on the field for more time and heal off from chip damage, so it becomes less prone to being revenge killed. Leftovers is mostly used for longevity against Heatran and Celesteela.

Usage Tips
========

* Keldeo can be used as an early- to mid-game breaker or as a wincon against fat, slower teams. Keldeo should generally aim to soften up checks for the late-game. It should not really be trying to function as an early- to mid-game breaker.

* Mention burn fishing against Pokemon like Tapu Bulu and Mega Lati@s.

* Avoid status at all costs, because it immensely cripples Keldeo and prevents it from doing its job. Obvious.

* You should setup Keldeo on Pokemon that Keldeo forces out, such as Heatran, Ash-Greninja, and Celesteela. Use Taunt on passive Pokemon like? to block their recovery and possible status moves.

* Play Keldeo aggresively vs stall, but be aware of Clefable, because Keldeo lacks of enough power to beat it.

Team Options
========

* Keldeo fits on offensive teams that need a stallbreaker and a way to pressure walls like Toxapex and Celesteela. Its defensive utility against Pokemon like Heatran is more important than mentioning that it can pressure walls like Toxapex and Celesteela, which mentioning that Keldeo is a stallbreaker sort of implies.

* Pokemon that struggle vs Toxapex and Chansey like Double Dance Magearna and Volcarona appreciate Keldeo's ability to break past them. They never really end up fitting on Keldeo teams.

* Bulky Psychic-types like Mega Latias and Mega Latios are very problematic for Keldeo, so Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar and Weavile are great teammates. Mega Tyranitar too.

* Other breakers like aforementioned Weavile and Flyinium Z Landorus-T can form strong wallbreaking cores alongside Keldeo. These two also can break through bulky Grass-types, namely Tapu Bulu, for Keldeo.

* Hazard setters.

* Ash-Greninja checks, because Keldeo is a very soft check to it.

* Checks to bulky Grass-types.

* Secret Sword allows Keldeo to beat Chansey and pressure Assault Vest Tangrowth.

* Calm Mind allows Keldeo to threaten fat teams, especially stall. Calm Mind does not specifically help with stall, that's what Taunt is for.

* Taunt shuts down walls like Celesteela and Toxapex and further increases Keldeo's stallbreaking capabilities allows Keldeo to break stall. "Further increases" implies Keldeo can break stall without Taunt, which it can't.

Set Details
========

* Leftovers is mostly used for longevity against Heatran and Celesteela. That's why it's used.

Usage Tips
========

* Keldeo can be used early- to mid-game to soften up its checks for late-game.

* You can should spam Scald for fishing burns on the likes of Mega Latias, Mega Latios, and Tapu Bulu. That's just what you do with Keldeo early- to mid-game.

* You should setup Keldeo on Pokemon that Keldeo forces out, such as Heatran, Ash-Greninja, and Celesteela. Make it more clear that you should only do this when checks are weakened enough. Use Taunt on passive Pokemon like Toxapex, Chansey, and Celesteela to block their recovery and possible status moves.

* Play Keldeo aggresively vs stall, but be aware of Clefable, because Keldeo lacks of enough power to beat it.

1/3

I'm going to QC reject this for a few reasons.

Initially, this analysis was very bland and had little to no relevant content. All sections in this analysis contained information which was either wrong or insufficient:

Moves contained no information on Scald or Secret Sword.
Set Details was basically a description of Leftovers.
Usage Tips had Keldeo listed as an early- to mid-game breaker, which it isn't, and was generally lacking in information on how to effectively use Keldeo.
Team Options was also lacking in substance & had subpar checks / partners mentioned.

Jordy had to check this twice & even the points that he added / suggested where simply copy and pasted and there was no elaboration on them. I tried checking it but the amount of information I had to change was too much to be satisfactory. An analysis should be a detailed explanation of a how a Pokemon functions in its respective metagame. This analysis currently shows a lack of understanding on how to use Keldeo, and even with 2 more checks, this was going to be mostly written by QC members & would turn out to be a subpar product. I suggest you read through other analyses to get a better feel for the writing & details we're looking for.

QC Reject 1/3

I wholeheartedly find myself in a position to agree with the aforementioned statements by Indigo Plateau. The entirety of this smogon dex analysis heavily lacks profoundization and fails to provide the unexperienced reader with very throughout in-depth explanations in most if not all sections. It would in fact be less difficult to allow a different writer to start over again than to repair this one. I apologize but:

3/3
