CMT(Critique My Team)

I don't ask for a rating, I want comments plz.
So I was messing around with my team a little bit and came out with this...

dpmfb130.png

Gyarados@leftovers
Impish
252 HP, 228 Defense, 28 Sp. Defense
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang

This guy was on my original team and is quite useful, my starter. He is not a sweeper, more of a mixed wall. He is already faster than many usual people who set up traps like forretress, skarmory, swampert, etc. I don't have Dragon Dance because I'm not using him to sweep, but using him defensively. I have t-wave to primarily slow down faster pokes or pokes that aren't affected by toxic spikes (see why in a second). His intimidate ability makes him a good switch in to take physical attacks too. Pretty good against those scarfed outraging garchomps.

dpmfb452.png

Drapion@Shucca Berry(reduces damage from ground attacks)
Ability: Battle Armour(prevents crits)
Impish
252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp. Defense
- Knockoff
- Night Slash
- Earthquake
- Toxic Spikes

So this is a new guy on my team, I replaced a physical sweeper with this guy. He absorbs toxic spikes, which is nice. Earthquake and night slash has pretty good type coverage. Knockoff is good against other tank-like pokes. And being dark/posion makes him only weak to ground attacks, which the shucca berry helps with a lot.

dpmfb392.png

Infernape@Life Orb
Hasty
252 Speed, 128 Attack, 128 Special Attack
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower

This guy is also new, I replaced a special sweeper with this guy. I gave him 128 attack so he can OHKO a bold blissey with max HP and max Def. But other than that, I think he's a standard mixed sweeper infernape.

dpmfb260.png

Swampert@leftovers
Impish
252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp. Defense
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Avalanche

I kept this guy from my original team. Defensive swampert, plays similar role as normal skarmory. Though its torrent ability is wasted with this set, avalanche just seems more useful since it can OHKO any dragon type (save kingdra) that attacks it first.

dpmfb437.png

Bronzong@leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Relaxed
252 HP, 152 Attack, 8 Defense, 96 Sp. Defense
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion
- Light Screen
- Hypnosis

This guy is another new guy, I replaced a physical sweeper with him. This was a standard EV spread I found on smogon, but I found an explosion would almost always kill a bold, max HP and Defense blissey. Since my team is a little lacking in Sp. Def, I have light screen to help out. Hypnosis to put stronger sweepers to sleep.

Question: Does being paralyzed make gyro ball stronger?

dpffa242.png

Blissey@Leftovers
Bold
252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp. Defense
- Softboiled
- Counter
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave

I kept her from my original team. Counter helps out a lot since this blissey actually can take some physical hits. Thunder wave to slow down fast pokes or those aren't affected by toxic spikes. Seismic Toss for standard damage.

So what do you guys think? This is a team for wifi, not shoddy so try your best not to suggest Hidden Power Moves or other hard things. And always try and leave comments that are actually helpful. So instead of saying "This teams phails," just say what you would change about this team and why?

Um, maybe add something that can get wish, like Jirachi over Bronzong since your team gets woen out from constant switching.

I laughed at this ^^^

Anyways, as IPL pointed out, you're weak to mixed sweepers. For example, Mix Inferanape can actually OHKO every single member of your team with Stealth Rock up. Grass Knot does a minimum of 75% to Gyarados, and OHKO's Swampert. Fire Blast will OHKO Drapion and Bronzong, and Close Combat can take out your Infernape and Blissey. Even mixed Electivire can give you problems if it comes in on a Thunder Wave.

Cresselia should rememdy this problem, although Infernape can still 2HKO with Fire Blast, you will either under up using Psychic, or Thunder Waving, which will essentially take it out of the game.

Another thing that can hurt is Gengar. Hypnosis / Focus Blast / Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt will wear down this team quickly. I recomend a Sleep Talker to absorb Hypnosis, so that Blissey can efficiently wall it.

As for your team, I would change Infernapes EV spread. Mixape can be a very dangerous pokemon, but 128 attack EV's for just Close Combat was never a good idea in my opinion. Since you have Stealth Rock, you can actually run no attack EV's if you want, and still OHKO Blissey. However, I've been doing some testing. Try out 64 Atk / 212 SpAtk / 232 Speed. You will OHKO Blissey and your average 200 def, 504 HP Snorlax with Stealth Rock's up, and Nasty Plot Fire Blast does a minimum of 100% to max HP / SpDef Regice. As far as I can tell, all other damage calculations are negliable, and those few less SpAtk EV's don't make a difference anywhere.

I would reduce your defense EV's on Gyarados and add a little more to SpDef. Intimidate essentially gives your defense a 1.5x boost on the switch. Since this is WiFi, I'm assuming you're stuck with an Impish nature, so I'll work with what I can. If you change your spread around to 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 SpDef, you will make a Stone Edge from Scarfcross a 3HKO (and hit it with TWave, essentially ruining it). Your SpDef will also allow you to survive random Thunderbolts and HP Electrics. With 265 SpDef, your opponent will have to have 325 SpAtk to even think about OHKOing you with Thunderbolt, and 382 to ensure it. Basically, you could live through a Thunderbolt from Timid Scarfgar, and TWave it.

I don't really see what Drapion does, seeings as you have Gyarados as well. If you want to get rid of Toxic Spikes, and / or set them up, you could replace it with either Roserade or Tentacruel. Roserade can also use Sleep Powder, and hit hard with 125 base SpAtk. Tentacruel will add another pokemon that's bulky on the special side.

I probably ment to say more, but I kind of got distracted in the middle of rating this team.

ty for comment, but it sounded like you would have rather had a different nature for gyarados. What would that be?

I find it extremely funny when people say "Yeaaa Mixmence totally rapes this team".. no it doesn't. Blissey is quite a safe switch against it, just don't switch on Brick Break. If it even thinks about staying in, it gets thunder waved and remains useless, easily outstalled.

Thunder Wave on Gyara isn't worth the spot over Dragon Dance IMO. The common switches, like Celebi / Starmie / hp electric Vaporeon/ Milotic are not bothered by the paralysis, not to mention you have no way of enhancing your ATK. Some can claim DD against those pokes also doesn't matter at all, but speed is still a very important factor in this metagame. The only pokemon that might be troubled by T-Wave is Zapdos, I suppose. Not to mention you already have T-Wave on Blissey.

I like it that you're using Drapion. But Toxic Spikes? doesn't appear to be much of a stall team, despite your 3 walls. I suggest using an offensive Drapion, with Brick Break and Crunch over Night Slash, please. Swords Dance too, Taunt/Pursuit for last slot. You can still make it a bit defensive while maintaing his best asset, which is his speed. But that's just personal preference, I guess.

Watch out for SD Lucario. I'd have Mach Punch over Nasty Plot on Infernape just in case.

If you run Calm, with 252 HP / 228 Def / 20 SpDef, you will get the same stats as my previously suggested EV spread, but have 10 EV's leftover to distribute to either of your defenses.
