CoD4 X-box Live problems

I just got X-box live yesterday and got on to CoD4 and recieved an update. Then I went to play a match and had problems

I can't complete a full game without it freezing on me.


I have heard of many of these cases, but is there a solution?

I am tired of earning the second rank over and over (5 times so far) I want to keep it.

Also it's annoying that I cannot finish a game.


Anyone know how to fix this?

It's most likely your Xbox. It is going to die soon. Don't worry, Microsoft have good customer service. Mine has broken twice and I got it back in about 10 days or so both times.

It's only this game though, Halo 3, GTA, all the others work fine.
 
Go to Memory Options and try deleting the Call of Duty 4 save from your hard drive and clearing the cache. Also, there's no dash in Xbox.
 
Mine does this occasionally but when it happens I take it out and clean it with my shirt. Blowing in the the area where the disk goes in helps sometimes too. You can also try deleting all the memory you had saved for the game.
