Cold Cold Night

Introduction
Hello Smogon this is my 1..2..3 well I can't count all of them, but this is another one of my RMT's. I made this team after hearing Cold Cold Night on this TV Show. After that I decided to make a RMT around a Hail Team. Also this would be my 100th post. It is not as exciting as your 1000th post, but I don't mind lol. . Okay now back to the RMT. Okay well lets talk about Hail for a moment. Hail is one of the most underrated playstyles in the OU Tier. Hail is not really good in any tier (well not really good you can say), but I think I have made a pretty good hail team as it proved to me it is viable. I was doing pretty good with laddering, so I am going to get back to that trying to peak because I was at like 2022 provisional, but I wanted to work on my sun team with combusken on it with the same alt wasn't a smart move, but I only went down to like 1700, so i didn't mind much. Anyway i am going to ladder again tomorrow though I am going swimming tomorrow, so i really don't know. I might do some laddering today also. Anyway this hail team is kinda wierd all because who runs focus sash Dugtrio on a hail team. You guys are going to find out what I mean, but really it is pretty good if you know how to play it. Anyway onto the team building.

Team Building Process
(Warning this is going to be kinda long)
(I dont mean wording, but how different pokemon I have tried)
Meeting the Team
Chopper (Abomasnow) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Blizzard
- Focus Blast
- Giga Drain
- Ice Shard
Analysis: Abomasnow is the hail bringer (Well duh who uses Snover in OU). I choose Choice Scarf Abomasnow because it is a set i have been using for sometime now. Sometimes I was thinking about changing it to a Focus Sash set or even a Chople Berry set, but the whole time i decided to stick with Choice Scarf. The EV spread is nothing special along with the nature. They just help Abomasnow be as fast as it can be. Though I sometimes felt like running a modest nature because Abomasnow doesn't outspeed alot of things in the OU Metagame, so running Modest seems like it won't hurt though I am not entirely sure. The moveset is also nothing special.
Blizzard is the main STAB as it hits alot of pokemon for alot of damage also you gotta love that freeze hax lol.
Focus Blast is for hitting Steels and most importantly Tyranitar for SE.
Giga Drain is my other STAB and it mostly come in handy against Politoads though i really have to watch that Focus Blast because getting hit by that would not be pretty. Ice Shard is the move on this set.
Ice Shard has a special place on his set as it is the only priority on this team that hits dragon for SE.
Scott (Kyurem) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 86 Def / 252 SAtk / 168 Spd
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Blizzard
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Analysis: I picked Kyurem because I needed a pokemon that can abuse the hail and do massive damage and that is where Kyurem came in. My Kyurem runs a choice scarf set because iIneeded something with speed on my team. Though I have been thinking about running a sub roost set, but so far this set has been working just fine. Ok the EV spread is something different that is not that common. The 4 Hp and 86 Def allows me to live a Scizor Bullet Punch and KO it with Hp Fire. 168 SAtk EVs are just the downside from living a Scizor Bullet Punch however you run 168 Spd if you want to have max SAtk. Draco Meteor is Kyurem STAB. Draco Meteor allows me to hit hard and dent and faint my opponents pokemon. Also its good on the choice scarf set because I am probably going to return anyway, so the drop doesn't really affect it. Blizzard is the main STAB. Being a Hail Team Blizzard is just spammed when nothing can stop it. Though it takes time to get a Blizzard spam because I have to get rid of my counters. Earth Power can be used as a surprise attack though it is used on Choice Scarf sets it can be a surprise to some people who don't suspect it. Hp Fire is like Earth Power, but it is more important. Hp Fire lets me beat Scizor one on one easily. Like a stated above Bullet Punch can't KO Kyurem (Not counting hazards).
Ben (Dugtrio) (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Arena Trap
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Sucker Punch
- Stone Edge
Analysis: Lol I named this pokemon after Ben Gay. I just came into one of his battles and said i am going to name my dugtrio after you lol. Anyway there nothing special about the EV spread, but the nature is not jolly, but Adamant. Why Adamant well there is a big reason. With Adamant I can beat TTar easier and i can beat Politoad besides Defensive and Choice Scarf sets. I have been thinking of using Toxic over Sucker Punch, but either way Dugtrio is a force to be reckon with. At First Glance you are thinking Focus Sash Dugtrio on Hail Team what is this guy thinking. Well it is a great pokemon on a hail team. By running Sash Dugtrio i easily win the weather war. I usually lead with Dugtrio to beat other weather leads and Heatran Leads, but even if i don't I can predict when my opponent will bring out there weather pokemon or when they get in i can send Dugtrio in. It also immune to all weathers beside Hail, so that gives it an advantage also. Anyway Earthquake is the main STAB and it does good damage to a lot of threats to this team. Here are some Calc against Defensive Politaod.
Sucker Punch is for faster pokemon that I need to just use some damage, so I might use toxic over it to help with Defensive Toad. Stoner Edge is great against Air Balloon Ninetales it makes it a whole lot easier to deal with.
Kid (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 SDef / 36 Spd
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
Analysis: I named my Celebi after Kid Shiftry on Pokemon Showdown. Well I picked Celebi to counter Keldeo and Landorus-I, but now it will just probably beat Keldeo until Keldeo gets suspected lol. Anyway I run a simple Specially Defensive set. The EV set is also a simple set with nothing special about that either. Anyway Giga Drain is for those Keldeos. I was thinking about running Special Attacking set with Leaf Storm, but i like this set better. Giga Drain is a pretty good move mostly with Bulky Waters and all the pokemon it can hit for Neutral damage. Because this set is Specially Defensive it helps to get extra health from Giga Drain. Baton Pass is to runaway from those TTar. Baton Pass also makes good Senergy with Dugtrio because it allows me to Trap TTar. Though Earthquake can KO TTar if he used Choice Band set it is over for that thing. Recover is just get health after getting wore down in battle. Thunder Wave is just awesome. Thunder Wave helps me beat Choice Scarf user that are faster than Kyurem. Examples: Keldeo who is a Threat to this team just became easy to deal with, Latios who threaten this team just became easy to deal with, and Terrakion who can become a threat to this team.
Zoorie (Gyarados) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Def / 108 SDef
Impish Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
- Roar / Thunder Wave
Analysis: Starline on Pokemon Shodown came up with the name for Azumarill who used to be here, but I though it could work for Gyarados and I still think it does. Anyway I decided to go with a Defensive Gyarados with my own EV spread of course lol. The Spread lets me beat Scarf Chomp who is a threat to this team really easy. It also have some Special Defense to beat Volcarona who is a big threat and it can tank some of Latios Draco Meteor though it can't do much back unless you run T-Wave. Rest is to get rid of Status and it is for recovery, so Gyarados can do it job without much trouble. Sleep Talk is, so when I am asleep I can atleast do something I just better hope I get some good turns(I hate bad turns, but who doesn't). Waterfall is my STAB so I can atleast hurt my opponent instead of doing nothing against them. Okay the last 2 choices are really important. If you run roar it become easy to beat Volcarona and you can defeat setup sweepers. If you run T-Wave it makes Latios way easier to defeat allowing this team to easily get the upper hand. Though i think roar would be a better choice because Latios sometimes run T-Bolt and Celebi also can Paralysis Latios (Only the Choice Scarf set bother this team).
Horta (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SDef
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split / Counter
Analysis: You can name Forretress if you want because I just gave it a name for no reason at all so please feel free to name it. I got this set from this RMT: Freeze! . I made a few modifications though to fit this team though. The ability I am using is Overcoat. I was using Sturdy which helped with counter though Hail is usually up when i have Forretress, so I really didn't care. The EV's are really nothing special. Anyway Stealth Rock is, so I can weaken ugly fire types that think they can step all over this team lol. Also I run Stealth Rock because none of my other members have it though Dugtrio and Celebi can learn it. Rapid Spin can get rid of hazards. I also found that Forretress can be a good pokemon on Hail Team because it resist dragon giving you a dragon resist and its hard to find a steel spinner (Only if we had Excadrill). Volt Switch is you can't get trapped by Magnezone and you can gain Momentum. The last move you have 2 choices. Pain Split is the move I got from the Freeze RMT and I found it can be quite helpful when Forretress needs some health. Counter is my own special move and it gives you a strong attacking move that can do alot against a physical attacking foe.

Team At A Glance

Team Building Process
(Warning this is going to be kinda long)
(I dont mean wording, but how different pokemon I have tried)
Okay, so I started with a 2 pokemon core of Abomasnow and Kyurem.
Then I added Dugtrio, so I can win the weather war easy.
Now I needed away to beat the infamous Keldeo, Landorus, TTar core so I added Celebi.
Okay Volcarona was a huge threat to this team, so I added the amazing Heatran
Now i needed a Stealth Rock Setter and I needed a spinner, so I added Starmie
Now I was threatened by Garchomp, so I replaced Heatran with Azumarill and Starmie with Forretress.
Dugtrio could be a little shaky so I decided to add Heatran over Dugtrio and Espeon over Forretress.
Espeon didn't work out, so well so I added Donphan over Espeon and Azumarill sometimes didn't work out well, so I replace it with Gyarados.
I missed Dugtrio and Heatran didn't really help my team so I added it back.
Donphan sucked lol. I am just going to say use Forretress with this team.
The team is finally complete, so here is the RMT.

252+ Atk Dugtrio Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Politoed: 112-133 (29.16 - 34.63%) -- possible 4HKO
as you can see it is a 4hko but now you add reversal to that equation because dugtrio will probably be a 1 Hp
252+ Atk Dugtrio (Move 4) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Politoed: 149-176 (38.8 - 45.83%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
I couldn't find reversal, so I just did calcs with a 200 Base Power move. Even made it a Fighting Type. From looking at this Politoad would be severly weakened. That is why i kinda wanted to put Toxic, Since, it would get wore down rather quickly.
