I'm actually scrapping Substitute in this set. I use Grass Knot for the Hippowdon and Swampert leads that think they're funny and try to set Stealth Rock on me. I'll laugh at Tyranitar and Blissy when they get nailed with Focus Punch.

I guess this is standard Weavile. Ice Shard is there for priority and has saved my ass so many times. I hate Pursuit, so I’m going with Night Slash.

Earthquake is a must, and Stone Edge can help me against Gyarados. The rest is self explanatory.

Trick Specs Rotom-F here. Blizzard and T-bolt are self explanatory, and Trick can screw walls. He’s important because he blocks spikes and rocks, and also doesn’t have the weaknesses of a typical ice type. Probably my main counter for Heatran and Scizor, and that’s what the HP are for. Which one should I go with? Will-O-wisp can also help.

~Roost
~HP Flying
~Reflect

Roost helps Articuno get rid of his quad rock weakness for one turn. If not, then I'll get another STABed move off of HP flying. Reflect is there to help my team against various attacks, and with Will-O-Wisp, this can be a hard thing to take down, but I’ve got to watch out for Stone Edge.

I know Scizor rips through this team, but I like mono-teams and this team is mainly for fun. Also, I'm thinking of using Vaporean over Weavile. Should I?

Threats:

Blissey – Mamoswine can Curse up and EQ.

Bronzong – Ugh. This is a hard one. Rotom-F can Trick it and wear it down with Thunderbolt or HP Fire

Celebi – HP Fire from Rotom-F can kill it, along with toxic stall from Walrein.

Cresselia – It can’t stand repeated Night Slashes from Weavile for very long, also toxic stall.

Donphan – Blizzard, ‘nuff said.

Dusknoir – Repeated Night Slashes and Toxic Stall.

Forretress –Rotom-F is my only counter for this, it also blocks it’s entry hazards and is immune to Explosion, and it’s resistant to Zap Cannon. Hits back with HP Fire

Gliscor – This guys gets raped by Blizzard.

Gyarados – I might be able to toxic stall it as long as it doesn’t taunt me. If I manage to to poison it, I can bring out someone else and Blizzard it to death. (HP Electric Vaporeon could work if I put it on my team)

Hippowdon - Hippowdon is generally a lead. I can go ahead with Grass Knot or Blizzard from Abomasnow before it sets up rocks.

Jirachi – This guys a pain in the ass. I can HP Fire it to death.

Rotom-A Night Slash kills it.

Skarmory – It can’t stand many Blizzards so it’s not much of a problem.

Snorlax – I can repeatedly hit it with Brick Break and Focus Punch.

Suicune Ok, big pain. Rotom-F with Thunderbolt can wear it down, and I could toxic Stall it.

Swampert - Lead Swampert is easily taken care of Grass Knot, and…toxic stall.

Tentacruel- EQ from Mamoswine can take care of it.

Tyranitar – This could possibly ruin me. My main offensive for this is Focus Punch or Brick Break.

Vaporeon – Rotom can potentially Thunderbolt it, and Walrein can toxic stall it.

Zapdos Blizzard can take care of it.

Offensive Threats:

Azelf – Night Slash and toxic stall.

Breloom It can’t take repeated Blizzards, but it’s sub-spore combo is annoying, so I’ve got to watch out for that.

Dragonite – BLIZZARD

Dugtrio – BLIZZARD

Electivire Earthquake from Mamoswine should put it down.

Gallade – Night Slash can take it down. A couple of Blizzard should help to. If not, then there’s always Toxic Stall.

Gengar Night Slash and some Blizzards.

Heatran – This guy is trouble. I can EQ with Walrein or Mamoswine.

Heracross – HP Flying is perfect for this. If not, then some repeated Blizzards.

Infernape – Hopefully, I can hit it with EQ without one of my members dying.

Jolteon – EQ takes care of this.

Latias – This can’t stand repeated Blizzards.

Kingdra I think toxic stalling is my best bet here.

Lucario The only thing I have against this guy is EQ.

Machamp – HP Flying is my best be here.

Magnezone HP Fire from Rotom-F can do the trick here. It resists T-Bolt too.

Mamoswine – Blizzard should dent this guy.

Metagross – hopefully, HP fire can take this guy down, along with some EQ

Porygon-Z – This thing is can be taken down with Blizzard.

Salamence BLIZZARD.

Scizor – This thing just rapes my team. HP fire is my counter here.

Starmie – Thunderbolt can take this guy down.

Togekiss – Blizzard can take this down, as long as I don’t get haxed.

Weavile – I can easily take this down with Articuno, as long Reflect is up.

Yanmega This thing dies from Blizzards.

Donphan – BLIZZARD.

Hello,

Right off the bat, I'm curious as to how you deal with Nasty Plot Infernape or Infernape in general for that matter. Combined with Stealth Rock, Infernape runs thru your entire team without a hitch. For that matter, yes, I would replace Weavile for Vaporeon, or maybe even Articuno since I don't see any purpose with it whatsoever besides setting up Reflect. You have plenty of Blizzard support.

If you do decide to keep Articuno, what's your logic behind Hidden Power Flying? I know its STABed but besides for Heracross, you won't be hitting anything hard with it. In fact, you wouldn't even want to stay in on a Heracross because you are outspeed by them regardless if they are Choice Scarf or not. After all, you have Blizzard. Since I see Reflect in your movepool, I recommend running the "Support" set. I notice you have the EVs of that very set, just a very awkward choice of moves (Hidden Power Flying).

Finally, a threat list would be very much appreciated.

Hmm....alright, I'll replace Weavile for Vaporean. I guess I'll try and get a threat list up. It's for mainly all the OUT pokemon right?

And Crunchatize Me, I posted an explanation below the movesets didn't I?

they're really not proper explanations, and some of them aren't explanations at all - such as walrein

take a look at the RMT archive for examples of excellently made and well-explained teams.

You might want to elaborate more on your descriptions or this thread might get locked.
pretty good mono ice team, though big stealth rock weakness, especially articuno.
If your up against stall teams, they will destroy you. I recommend a cloyster if you MUST have an all monotype ice team.

Cloyster@Leftovers Skill Link
Impish 252 Defense, 160 Hp, 64 spe defense, 32 attack
Rapid Spin, Toxic Spikes/Spikes, Explosion, Icicle Spear.

that will get rid of your stealth rock problem

IIRC, Abomasnow doesn't even LEARN Stealth Rock. Theres very little HP Fire can do either, seeing as being a lead, really is going to just plain die to anything it can use it on. Stick with Leech Seed, at least its going to accomplish something. Although, while Grass Knot isn't really standard, I agree on the fact they're common and annoying, so I guess it works.

I find Weavile and Mamoswine to be fine, although I'm not really a fan of most Curse Pokemon, seeing as you're just asking to get Psudeohazed or Tricked a Choice Item while Cursing.

Rotom should go with HP Fire and Trick here, I'll explain why later.

Walrein now has acess to Super Fang, which in Combination with Brine, is devistating.

Walrein @ Leftovers
Bold/Ice Body
220HP/226Def/64Spe
Protect
Substitute
Super Fang
Brine

Try that. It also outspeeds CB TTar and the like. This really gets annoying, especially with its Magnificent KO power on Non-Ghosts.

Now, Articuno should get HP Ground rather than HP Flying. This is for MUCH better type coverage, also taking out Fire Types in the process, espeically Heatran, and Ground Immune Fire Types will get hurt pretty bad by Blizzard. Also takes out Electric types, which are also problems with it. This means that it lets Rotom counter Scizor. This covers both your weaknesses.

Also, how is this a mono team? lol This is just a Hail team rather than a Mono Team.
If you don't mind the whole not-mono-team thing, you could try using Crocune over Articuno, as it covers Heatran just as well and is significantly better than Articuno. If not Crocune, try Subcune. I'm not exactly sure which would work better on this team, with Subcune you COULD use Blizzard, but that is just rediculous for all those Ice moves.

It doesn't learn that? I guess I overlooked haha. Yeah, it seems like HP Ground is a better move. I'll use that.

That Walrein set looks really promising, but should I really use that over Stallrein? :/

And I'll think about Subcune.

Last but not least, threat list added.

im having trouble comprehending why each Pokemon has been chosen, what role they each perform. Also, I can't understand why you have chosen the moves or EV's or nature. Can you please explain each one in great detail (IE More than just Move X is self-explanatory') please? To be brutally honest, I don't even know what this team is supposed to be or what it is supposed to achieve (apart from victory). So could you explain what the team's purpose is? I am also having trouble deciding if its a hailstall, Mono type or general hail team. Please clarify.

You seem to put blizzard a lot in your Threat List. What do you do if Abomnasnow is KO'd and your opponent still has a Tyranitar or Hippowdon in play? Your Blizzards may miss and your 'perfect' counter is perfectly ruined.

I would use different evs on the walrein set, if you don't have a better answer to scizor. You can boost walreins speed evs to outrun it, and you can protect its bullet punches/sub its other attacks until it dies.

Most of your descriptions are not up to rule 3:
RMT rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

If you fix them, send them to me via PM and I'll unlock your thread.
