Programming Collecting replays from Pokemon Showdown

Hi, I'm not sure exactly what the best place in the forums for this question is, but I think it's suitable here.
I want to have a crack at creating a battle bot, and want to know the best approach of mass downloading replays between players above a certain elo threshold, specifically in Gen 9 Random Battles, from showdown.
