COMMANDER 60 GO! [OU:RMT]

After failing to make teams because lack of main pokemon, I decided to make a team around lucario. In practice, however, my BulkyGyara steals the spotlight by being so AWESOME.

So, the team:

Blue Storm Orb (Azelf) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Psychic
- Explosion
- Fire Blast

Standard Suicide Lead Azelf: Gets the rocks up, maybe kills a mon or 2, explodes on a threat. Fire Blast > Taunt because it deals with steel types (20% of the teams I face have a Scizor lead). I may get taunt back so i won't fear to escape DDTar (or simply add a DDTar killer). If it isn't killed mid-opening, azelf returns late game and sometimes sweeps the weakened enemy team, or explodes on a annoying pokemon (wish support helps wonders).

This lead has a T-Tar weakness (however, i typically beat aerodactyl because they Taunt/SR me while i psychic them, then they fail to KO me with rock slide when I psychic them again. Typically Jirachi Wish-Turns him back for a SR and Sweep). I would like to swap him, but only with a pokemon powerful after the 1st move.

Commander 60 (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Swords Dance
- Crunch

The core of the team. it's known that "Every Pokemon can sweep Late Game with spikes, maggy and duggy support with its counters down" but lucario does not need spikes and duggy support to do this. Enter by U-Turn/on a predicted support move. Sword Dance. Close Combat most mons, Extremespeed fast guys, and crunch these annoying rotoms. Also, Extremespeed can revenge kill fraglie speedsters. On practice, however, he does not manage to sweep. While he's the team's core pokemon, Gyarados managed to steal the spotlight, and i'll be happy to find a way to somehow make him strong/a good pokemon to get instead of him (maybe Scizor for his awesome, or Flygon/Electrivire to support gyarados)

Sky Lord (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 76 HP/252 Atk/12 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Was told in IRC to swap Scizor for. Kicks ass in the limited tests.

Red-Water Killer (Gyarados) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/108 Atk/100 Def/144 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Stone Edge

Bulkygyara. I inserted him to deal with grounds, but, because of his awesome, he ended up sweeping teams. In the early days of DP, this gyarados set was ranked along with Nasty Plot Azelf and the now-uber Garchomp as the most dangerous Pok'emon, and "gyarados 6-0s you" cloud be said on half the teams in the RMT forum. This pokemon didn't lose even the slightest bit of power. Many ppl's first reaction to a gyarados is a pokemon with Thunder Wave/Will-O-Wisp and little more. Taunt prevents them from doing that and gives me a free DD (and the high HP and Defense gives me another when they TRY to kill him). Wish support gives him much more longevity.

Hot & Strong (Rotom-h) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/164 Def/92 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Will-o-wisp

Inserted as a Spin Blocker, this possesed oven managed to do much more. Between Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball this pokemon deals heavy damage. Will-o-wisp weakens attackers, and Overheat kills these heracross who switch trying to get a burn (along with other fire-weak mons). Also not going to go (except for another rotom form, which counts as the same pokemon, or maybe Ganger)

Heat Runner (Heatran) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Explosion

I decided to switch the key team member Jirachi for this one to reduce the pressure from gyarados

Firstly, on Lucario, I suggest you use Adamant in place of Jolly. The Pokemon you are attempting to outspeed with Jolly, mainly Gliscor, already run enough Speed EVs to outrun most Lucario so they can KO with a STAB Earthquake. This makes Jolly quite pointless. Adamant gives Lucario more power to hit harder after an SD and all the moves your Lucario has. This makes Adamant the better option.

Now, your team heavily relies on Gyarados to perform a variety of tasks for your team. Gyarados is taking care of Heatran, Lucario, Infernape, etc. Keep in mind that Gyarados cannot take on all of those threats at once, especially with Gyarados' Stealth Rock weakness. With Gyarados, gone, you'll find yourself being swept by Choice Scarf Heatran, who kills your entire team with Fire Blast. Jirachi, Lucario, Rotom, Azelf, etc are all killed by it. They are all outspeed as well. It would be best to relieve some of the pressure off Gyarados by adding some Pokemon on your team that can aid Gyarados and the rest of your team combat the aforementioned threats.

So, on IRC, Tab, along with myself and you of course, decided that Heatran could work over Jirachi, since we came to the conclusion that Dual Screens was not doing much on the team. Heatran on the otherhand revenge kills Pokemon such as Infernape, Lucario, etc, taking some of the pressure of your Gyarados, since Heatran now helps with these threats. Gyarados and Heatran have good synergy as well, since Gyarados resist the Fighting, Ground, and Water attacks that are usually directed at Heatran while Gyarados is immune to Heatran's main weakness of Ground.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Speed/252 Special Attack/6 HP
Nature: Naive
Ability: Flash Fire
-Flamethrower
-Earth Power
-Explosion
-HP Grass

Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast since you mentioned on IRC that you dislike the accuracy of Fire Blast. Earth Power is there to provide nice coverage alongside Flamethrower and to hit opposing Heatran. Explosion allows Heatran to take out bulky Water-types or at least weaken them enough for your Gyarados to take them out. You liked the idea of HP Grass in order to killSwampert and to damage bulky Water-switch-ins like Vaporeon for some decent damage.

Now, you seemed to like the idea of Flygon over Scizor on IRC. Flygon has excellent synergy with Gyarados, as Flygon is immune to the Electric attacks aimed at Gyarados and also resist the Rock-type attacks aimed at Gyarados as well. Flygon also works nicely with Heatran since Heatran resist the Ice and Dragon attacks that Flygon is weak to while Flygon is immune to the Ground attacks aimed at Heatran. Flygon also gives you more insurance against Heatran, since Flygon resist Fire Blast and is immune to Earth Power, while Flygon can KO with Earthquake. Flygon also makes a great switch-in to the Jolteon you stated you dislike and can revenge kill Gyarados with Stone Edge and Salamence with Outrage.

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Levitate
-Earthquake
-U-turn
-Outrage
-Stone Edge

Earthquake is for STAB and to hit Pokemon such as Infernape and Metagross for super effetive damage. Outrage for more STAB and to clean up late game and to kill other Dragon-types. U-turn to scout and get a hit on Pokemon such as Celebi. Stone Edge is for Flying-types such as Gyarados, Zapdos, Salamence, etc. Adamant is chosen over Jolly since the power drop from Jolly makes it a poor option.

My team is winning again!

I think i have a problem with gyarados's *2 SR weakness and i want to replace him

I have a bad zapdos and swampert weakness
