Hi all, long time lurker. I have spent quite some time fiddling with this team, going through several permutations. I am sitting at around 1600 on showdown, and while I think my lack of skill is holding me back more than team composition, I would still appreciate any criticism, please be brutal; I'm not married to any pokemon or moveset, and I am really looking to up my game beyond the 1600's and into the 2000's

It is a fairly straightforward team with 3 supports and 3 sweepers. I did my best to cover the major threats such that I always have someone to switch into that resists another teammates weakness. My biggest problem is fire (I've tried other supports besides celebi to try and lessen my overall fire weakness but celebi has still proven the most useful so far,) and I'm not a fan of facing genosect (but really...is anyone a fan of facing genosect?) The best case scenario is getting a free turn of setup for scizor/volcarona behind a substitute after Vaporeon/Celebi/Skarmory/another sweeper have done some preliminary damage/statuses. Again, any advice on improving coverage or team comp is greatly appreciated!!!

You need to write analyses for your team so we understand what roles they fill and support each other. For example I don't understand why specifically you have a Mega Scizor.

Give Haxorus Poison Jab over Dragon Claw for Fairy switch ins which will annihilate them. Togekiss is either immune or 4x otherwise for example. Just save Outrage for when the Fairies are gone it's worth the power.

I can see how Fire gives you trouble, Talonflame and Heatran seem like trouble. Look into a Rock type since you have good Grass and Water resists already. Shell Smash Barbaracle over Scizor gives you a 4x Fire resist and Flying resist too and cleans up really well. An Assault Vest Rhyperior gives you a useful Electric immunity on top of Fire and Flying resist and is well supported by Wish Vaporeon and Celebi with Heal Bell. You might want U-Turn on Celebi because your team will have trouble keeping momentum with the amount of set up mon you use.

I would consider using Heatran, seeing how you might have trouble dealing with genesect and fire pokemon in general. Paired with Celebi, Heatran will be a nice addition to make your team less susceptible to the bolt-beam combo and u-turn, giving you a couple of more resists as well as being a reliable counter to Talonflame.

Hello.
Your descriptions are too short to fit the RMT rules requirements.
I encourage you to PM me an updated version of this team with beefed up descriptions, and since you're new, to join the Mentor Program. I'll be unlocking this thread after that.

Have a nice day.
