Here's my competitive team using VGC rules. I'm having a big issue which I will highlight at the end. These first two Pokemon are always going to be in. Then I have to choose two of the next four depending on the opponents team.
Carbink @ leftovers
Clear body
Sassy nature
170 HP 170 DEF 170 SDEF
Trick room
Light screen
Reflect
Dazzling gleam
Carbink is obviously here to set up the trick room. It's also a dual screener to protect my sweepers. Dazzling gleam is there for a spread STAB move.
Amoongus @ Black Sludge
Effect spore
Sassy nature
170 HP 170 DEF 170 SDEF
Rage Powder
Spore
Protect
Energy Ball
Amoongus' job is to attract attention with rage powder so that Carbink can set up trick room. Because of it's bulk, it usually survives to the second turn, which is when I start using spore. When everything is asleep, I use energy ball until they wake up.
Scizor @ Scizorite
Technician
Brave Nature
252 Atk 252 SDEF 4 def
Bullet Punch
X-scissor
Night slash
Scizor is here as a physical sweeper. Bullet punch is priority plus has 90 power with technician and STAB. X-scissor is STAB and double team is there to avoid hits if the trick room is about to run out.
Ampharos @ amphrosite
Static
Modest nature
252 SATK 129 def 129 SDEF
Thunderbolt
Power gem
Signal beam
Dragon Pulse
Ampharos is pretty straight forward. No tricks or gimmicks. Just a special sweeper.
Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Sand steam
Brave Nature
252 Atk 129 Def 129 SDEF
Rock slide
Crunch
Dragon claw
Power-Up punch
Again, Tyranitar is pretty straight forward. Just a physical sweeper. Didn't give it a mega stone because it's already hard enough giving two Pokemon a mega stone on one team and didn't wanna have three
So I want a second special sweeper. I was thinking maybe a chandlure. Also, I have a big issue because my Carbink survives the trick room so I find myself setting it up two or three times a match. I was thinking of using light screen/reflect first turn and protect with Ammoongus then doing trick room the second turn and then exploding out of there (instead of having dazzling gleam). Any suggestions? Also, this team has been pretty successful at the battle spot but I haven't tested it in Rating Battles because apparently the PGL has been down.
