Concerning Sleep Clause

Not sure if this belongs in Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer as it is a bit lengthy. Here's the situation:

One of my opponent's pokemon is asleep. My Cresselia is out, with this moveset:

Moveset of Cresselia: @ Burn Orb
Psycho Shift
Rest
Sleep Talk
[Filler]

If I Rest and Sleep Talk selects Psycho Shift, does that count as breaking Sleep Clause? (Psycho Shift will put whatever pokemon is out to sleep, so my opponent now has 2 pokemon which are asleep. However, sleep talk is considered random and forced when asleep.)

Thanks for any replies.

Nope, moves like Yawn and Psycho Shift that don't directly induce sleep don't count. Too bad that a Burn Orb Cresselia loses pretty much any physical durability it could be bragging about...

That depends on the rules. In any competitive medium, this would count as breaking sleep clause. Yawn does as well.

Yawn does count as far as I'm concerned. It's just Spore, except one turn delayed, and negated by a switch. That makes it worse overall, but no less a direct sleep inducer.

Heh, I heard otherwise from Colin. Then again, that's not Smogon policy...
