Confirmed rules for the Gamestop tournament

The rules that I know of are;

According to ArchimedesBlack;
"If you have more than 3 Master balls, or an abundance of shiny pokemon we are suppose to ban you, or watch your matches closely for anything out of the norm. It's not clear on what to do if the player has over #490, but doesn't have a team with any pokemon over #490."

RULES VARY BY STORE; CALL YOUR LOCAL GAMESTOP - NUMBERS LISTED ON WWW.GAMESTOP.COM
Lv. 50
May be Four vs. Four
No Gameshark / AR
pirate0;
#1-#490 ARE allowed; some stores may choose to ban certain pokemon.
Single and Double Battles VARY by store.

Okay. If it's 4 on 4 I'm assuming it's 2v2.

Can someone tell me if PBR will automatically de-level your pokemon if they are above 50?

I suppose if it's Double Battle, I'll be facing kids who spam weather affects and do things like Explosion + Protect? (Not that it isn't an effective tactic, mind you)

Can we still bring 6 and sub in any time?

so wait, lv50 is the cap, or is it forced lv 50? Cause I thought local multiplayer didn't let you force the lvs to 50 or 100

edit: oh, didn't realize it was PBR.

Post confirmed (by Gamestop) rules in this thread please! Also please tell us how local lev50 works in PBR.

I just called mine, got the message of "We're really not sure if we're going to be doing [the tournament] or not, call back tomorrow and we'll have more information." Ugh...guess I'll see what's up tomorrow.

If the pokemon is lv50 or below, it will stay that level and if the pokemon is over lv50, it gets brought down to lv50.

Be prepared for anything is probably the best advice. Bring 1v1 and 2v2 teams, uber and non (though nonuber is probably not necessary).

I need to know whether or not glitch Darkrai is allowed in this, or sleep clause. If it is allowed, expect to see Dark Voiders!

Double check before going to your stores. A lot of stores still won't do it even though they're on the list. GameStop isn't the most organized chain of stores.
