Corsola-Galar (Ghost) [QC: 2/3]

[SET]
name: Physically Defensive (Ghost)
move 1: Night Shade
move 2: Will-O-Wisp
move 3: Strength Sap
move 4: Stealth Rock
item: Eviolite
ability: Cursed Body
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Galarian Corsola is a potent defensive threat offering Ghost teams both entry hazard utility and the ability to greatly frustrate physical attackers. Night Shade is Galarian Corsola's sole means of offense, and allows it to avoid complete shutdown in case of a Taunt. With Will-O-Wisp and Strength Sap, Galarian Corsola becomes a potent wall and status spreader capable of crippling and beating the majority of physical attackers in the tier. Will-o-Wisp allows Galarian Corsola to neuter key threats such as Bisharp and Heracross while Strength Sap serves as its lone means of recovery. Rounding up the set is Stealth Rock, which allows Galarian Corsola to support sweepers such as Spectrier and Gengar through hazards. Bolstering Galarian Corsola's fabilities as a wall is its ability in Cursed Body, which has a chance to disable enemy attacks. Through Cursed Body, Galarian Corsola is capable of erasing offensive momentum, forcing Choice sweepers into Struggle or foiling multi-hit abusers such as Cloyster and Urshifu-Rapid Strike. Maximum investment in HP and Defense grants Corsola tremendous physical durability when backed by Eviolite, which greatly increases Corsola's defensive stats.

Galarian Corsola greatly appreciates defensive partnership with Mega Sableye, with whom it forms a strong tandem capable of frustrating many teams. Part-Dark typing means Mega Sableye takes neutral damage from the Dark and Ghost-type attacks which greatly threaten Galarian Corsola. This is particularly important in the case of Knock Off, which can neuter Galarian Corsola's defenses through the removal of its Eviolite. This neutrality coupled with Mega Sableye's use of the unremovable Sablenite allows it to shrug off otherwise dangerous Knock Offs from the likes of Bisharp. In return, Galarian Corsola can neutralize or scare out major threats such as Urshifu-Single Strike and Mega Sharpedo. Furthermore, Mega Sableye's ability to reflect enemy hazards via Magic Bounce helps Galarian Corsola avoid chip damage from Spikes and Stealth Rock. Spectrier and Blacephalon appreciate Galarian-Corsola's ability to set Stealth Rock, as it lowers the threshold needed to begin racking up offensive boosts via Beast Boost and Grim Neigh respectively. Another powerful ally for Galarian Corsola is Mimikyu, who can handle threatening Dark types such as Hydreigon, while Alolan Marowak enjoys an additional coverage slot from no longer needing to run Stealth Rock. Froslass can use its good Speed and access to Spikes to form an effective hazard stacking duo with Galarian Corsola. Another hazard stacking partner can be found in Runerigus, which can set up Toxic Spikes as well as punish Dark types with its powerful Body Press. Finally, Aegislash greatly enjoys Galarian Corsola's Stealth Rock and ability to burn its offensive checks such as Excadrill.

Haze can sometimes be run to discourage set-up attempts by powerful sweepers such as Volcarona, but this forces Corsola-Galar to forgo running Stealth Rock.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
-------
**Dark types**: Dark-types present the most significant threat to Galarian Corsola. Hydreigon and Galarian Moltres can take advantage of Galarian Corsola's passiveness to set up a Nasty Plot and break through it with powerful STAB moves while Bisharp can switch into Strength Sap and KO Galarian Corsola with a Defiant-boosted Knock Off.

**Knock Off and Trick users **: Knock Off users such as Zeraora and Landorus-Therian can remove Galarian Corsola's Eviolite, making it more susceptible to powerful attacks. Trick users such as Jirachi, Indeedee, and Rotom-W relish the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, both removing Galarian Corsola's Eviolite and eliminating its walling capabilities by giving it a useless Choice item.

**Wallbreakers**: Tapu Bulu can Substitute and and run through Galarian Corsola with Swords Dance-boosted STAB moves while Victini is immune to Will-o-Wisp and can outright KO Galarian Corsola with a Choice Band-boosted V-Create.

**Ghost types** Ghost types such as Spectrier and Gengar can boost and KO Galarian Corsola with supereffective STAB moves.

**Toxic** Galarian Corsola greatly fears Toxic as it limits the amounts of turns it can stay in to harass enemy teams.

**Stallbreakers**: Stallbreakers including Mew and Gliscor can invalidate Galarian Corsola's defensive tools with Taunt and proceed to force it out via Toxic.

**Setup sweepers**: Setup sweepers such as Keldeo and Volcarona relish the opportunity to set up on Galarian Corsola.

- Just name it "Coral Chief (Ghost)" or "Physically Defensive (Ghost)".

[SET COMMENTS]
Moveset Description
- Mention Strength Sap is also Galarian Corsola's only method of recovery, letting it stay healthy to perform its support duties throughout the match;
- Add some examples of threats to Ghost teams that are crippled by Will-O-Wisp. I think Mega Sharpedo and Bisharp are great ones (they are very capable of just eating Ghost teams otherwise);
- I think you could shorten the Stealth Rock description saying it wears down targets for its teammates (you can go more in-depth in the Good Teammates section);
- Add the item description (how Eviolite helps it);
- Add an EV spread + nature description;
- Explain Cursed Body is its only Ability, and what it can do to help Galarian Corsola;

Good Teammates
- Replace Corsola-Galar on the very first line for Galarian Corsola, and Sableye-Mega for Mega Sableye;
- "Lack of a held item" sounds quite false here I think; M-Sableye usually holds Sablenite;
- Would mention Mega Sableye also sponges other Dark-type attacks and Ghost-type ones as well. Keep the Knock Off example (as it deserves that special mention);
- Tapu Bulu sounds rather shaky as CB can 2HKO and Sub + SD wins against Galarian Corsola in the long run. I think you could mention Mega Diancie instead and remove the "physical";
- Add Spectrier as a good teammate that appreciates Galarian Corsola's Stealth Rock support to net Grim Neigh boosts easier (like you mentioned in the first paragraph);
- In the same vein as Froslass, Runerigus should be mentioned as well for Toxic Spikes support and Body Press checking Dark-types like Tyranitar and Bisharp;
- Indicate wallbreakers like Gengar, Blacephalon, and Alolan Marowak all appreciate Galarian Corsola's entry hazard support, and also bring up the latter having a slot freed because of it.

- Include "Ghost" bolded above the paragraph (like the image below);

Checks and Counters
===================

- Include "Ghost" bolded above the bullets (check the image above);
- Add "Dark-types" as the first bullet, since most can power through Galarian Corsola with ease;
- Add Trick into the Knock Off section and rename it to "Knock Off and Trick", while mentioning examples of Trick users;
- I think you would like to mention Bisharp under Dark-types; you could replace it for something like Tapu Bulu in the wallbreakers section. Also, replace Sun-boosted for Choice Band-boosted on Victini's example;
- Add "Ghost-types" as a bullet below "Wallbreakers", since they can land STAB supereffective hits on it;
- Add "Toxic" as a bullet;
- Rename the "Special sweepers" bullet to "Setup Sweepers", as certain ones can take advantage of Galarian Corsola's relative passiveness.

- You don't have to mention Moxie Heracross, just Heracross is fine
- Brief description of EVs and nature
- Add a mention about Eviolite
- "Mega Sableye's Dark neutrality and lack of a held item allow it to sponge otherwise..." Add that Mega Sabeleye also has neutrality against Ghost type attacks and the mention about no held item is not necessarily true since it does have a held item, rephrase that sentence to reflect that
- Add Aegislash as a good teammate

Checks and Counters
===================
Ghost
-------
- Add "Dark Types" as a category and give examples of Dark types
- Rename the "Knock Off abusers" category to "Knock Off and Trick" and add a brief summary of Trick users as well
- Rename "Taunt" to "Stallbreakers" and remove Mega Gyarados as an example since it can be categorized under Dark types, instead add Sub Toxic Zapdos, Gliscor, and Mew as examples of stallbreakers

- night shade isnt an offensive move, its just not status. say night shade prevents galarian corsola from being completely passive
- name some threats it can take on with will-o-wisp and strength sap
- bisharp is a weird example, heracross isn't that great either. a better example might be melmetal
- stealth rock does not round out the set, its not some sort of complimentary coverage. leave the part about it helping setup break through foes easier, that part is good
- name some physical attackers it can wall due to its tremendous bulk
- mega sableyes dark typing is helpful for corsola, but you don't list any examples of what it can do. you perhaps miss the most important part however, which is the fact that mega sableye can deflect hazards/status for galarian corsola. like toxic or toxic spikes, which are especially annoying for it. bisharp is capable of beating both corsola and mega sableye, its not that great of an example. mega sharpedo is again a shaky example of what galarian corsola beats.
- overall you spend far 2 much time talking about mega sableye and galarian corsola and its mostly weird examples. talk about how mega sableye can deflect hazards and status like toxic for galarian corsola, as well as absorb weak knock offs. in return mention that galarian corsola in tandem with mega sableye wall a majority of physical attackers
- runerigus is niche, i would remove it. also its a ho pokemon, which galar corsola wouldnt be present on
- add jellicent and gengar as examples for teammates

[checks and counters]
- when you talk about bisharp in dark-types i would rephrase it, say something more like this. Physically offensive Dark-type Pokemon such as Bisharp are capable of threatening Galarian Corsola, however, they need to be careful of Will-O-Wisp.
- separate the knock off & trick users bullet. knock off should be its own bullet
- combine trick users with stallbreakers (aka taunt), make that one bullet
- remove wallbreakers altogether
- make the toxic bullet about residual damage overall, whether its hazards or toxic. keep toxic at the first line of the bullet however
- instead of setup sweepers, rename the bullet special attackers. make it a bullet about special wallbreakers and special setup that can take advantage of galarian corsola

please implement this whole check, then tag me when it is complete and i will then decide if i want to stamp it or add additional changes!
