SE[SET]
Name: Stallbreaker
Move 1: Brave Bird / Body Press / Iron Head
Move 2: Roost
Move 3: Taunt
Move 4: Defog
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 96 SpD / 156 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
This set takes advantage of Corviknight's ability to check a multitude of threats all at once, like Toxapex, Sylveon, Hippowdon, and even opposing Corviknight. Thanks to Pressure, it can PP stall them, and with Taunt, it can stop them from using recovery moves or setting hazards. Should any hazards get set up on Corviknight's watch, Defog can be used to clear them. Roost is Corviknight's recovery move of choice, though one should note that it leaves it vulnerable to slower Ground and Fighting moves. Whichever attacking move you pick depends on what specific Pokemon you want Corviknight to combat best. Brave Bird lets Corviknight take out the likes of Conkeldurr and Hawlucha. Body Press: Ferrothorn, Bisharp, and Cloyster. Iron Head: Clefable and Sylveon.
The given EV spread lets Corviknight outspeed most standard defensive sets, including opposing Corviknight, and still be bulky enough to take most hits. Max HP is mandatory for Corviknight's survival and 156 Speed EVs give it the speed it needs. 96 Special Defense EVs let it still survive neutral hits from most threats. These EVs can be pooled into Def instead if running Body Press. Finally, 4 Atk EVs give its attacking moves of choice a small but often noticeable damage boost, which can again be pooled to Def instead to boost Body Press.
This Corviknight set can fit on almost any team but is most comfortable on balance and bulky offense. Any Pokemon that can deal with Fire types like Seismitoad and Tyranitar make ideal partners for Corviknight, which, in turn, can handle any Grass moves aimed at the former two. Seismitoad can also handle Electric types like Zeraora, letting Corviknight once again handle Grass moves aimed at it. Same thing with Hippowdon, which can double up efforts to stop setup sweepers alongside Corviknight's Taunts with Yawn or Whirlwind. If Corviknight runs Iron Head, Dragapult and Hydreigon will appreciate its ability to deal with Fairy types while further covering Fire and Electric types. Ironically, Clefable and Sylveon provide great cleric support, further keeping Corviknight healthy.
