country tier list

Countries are sort of like Pokemon. They each have an amount of power. Wouldn't it be possible to have a tier list of countries?

What's power? GDP? Population? Economic growth? Military strength? Environment? Area of territory? Exports? Average age of population? The criteria goes on and on and on...
Please think these things through before you come up with a weird gimmick like this.

"You can get more of what you want with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word." - Al Capone (I think)
"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." - Mao Zezong (again, I think)

That's the only power of much use.

Edit: Ok, I accept industrial power as useful, too. I'll find that list sometime soon.

EDIT 3: going STRICTLY by the OP.

It would depend on their geopolitical power. This means their influence in global politics and their ability to obtain what they want(usually money and land). For example, the US has the most geopolitical power because it is very influential on the global scene and has the most powerful military. It was able to get a bunch of countries together to beat Saddam in the Gulf War. This would mean it would be Uber on the list. Pakistan ,on the other hand, would be UU/NU. It is completely dominated by the US and has no choice but to accede to our wishes. They also can't control their territory well. Without us helping them, the Taliban would take over in a heartbeat and the population would obey them.

Woo America!

Anyways, what about everything else? Population, money, technology etc.
Does any of that matter?
