Cradily is one of my favourite pokemon and I really wanted to create a team revolving around it. So here is my try :)

Cradily @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Leech Seed
- Earth Power
Here we have the star, Cradily. It has a unique typing, respectable bulk paired with several ways of instant recovery, and a great ability. Leech seed supports its team and ia a good way of chipping down at the opponent. With some smart predictions it can get some special attack boosts, while switching into water type attacks. I might add meteor beam for the special attack boost and for a good stab type, but I don´t know which move to replace it with and then I would have to trade leftovers for power herb, which cuts into its defensive abilites.
It sadly has some common weaknesses in ice, bug, fighting and steel, but thats where its teammates come in. Overall, this mon is kind of the sponge of the team and can eat up most of the common attacks flying around.
Charizard @ Choice Specs
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Scorching Sands
- Toxic
Charizard, my beloved. It can deal with all four weaknesses of Cradily, while Cradily can deal with rock, Electric and Water pokemon. They are really made for each other.
Its basically one of team´s faster attackers and serves as one of the wallbreakers . Slap a Choice Specs on it and now its attacks do massive damage. It has two stab attacks and a Ground type attack to deal Eletric and Rock Pokemon. I also added toxic to cripple Pokemon that Charizard has usually problems with, though I am not sure about its last move. Maybe I could give it Roost for sticking around longer. Should I give it Heave-duty-boots instead so that Stealth Rock wont become a hinderance?
Scrafty @ Roseli Berry
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Drain Punch
- Bulk Up
Scrafty serves as another defensive backbone of the team. Ironhead and Roseli Berry so that it can deal with Fairy types, Drain Punch for recovery, Knock Off to cripple walls and Bulk Up for a reliable way to set up. Maybe I should give it Special Defense investment so it can tank Dazzling Gleams and Moonblasts better?
I dont have much to say about Scrafty because I am not so sure about keeping it on the team. It has useful bulk, but its quadruple Fairy Type weakness holds it back, since Rimbombee is really threatening in this tier. Perhaps Hitmontop would be a better fighting type? Let me know.
Aromatisse @ Leftovers
Ability: Aroma Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Wish
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell
Aromatisse is here to support its team with Wish, Heal Bell and Toxic. Its another check to the fighting types that stop Cradily. Its not really good at dishing out damage, so maybe I should replace it with Rimbombee or Sivally-Fairy? Rimbombee can also check Fighting Types and can set up with Quiver Dance, so perhaps it could be a better addition to the team? It also doesnt have good recovery outside of wish, but I cant ignore the good defensive utility it brings to the table.
Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Scald
- Toxic
- Hex
Jellicent is here to annoy the opponent with Status Moves and Hex. Toxic can put the opposing team on a timer, while Recover keeps it healthy and Scald can cripple Physical Attackers. Its Steel resistance and Fighting immunity are useful for Cradily and Aromatisse, meanwhile Aromatisse can deal with Dark Type Pokemon. Its part of the defensive core of the team and can switch into a lot of Pokemon safely with some defense investment. The prevelant Knock Offs flying around everywhere might put a large dent into Jellicent though, so maybe I wont let it hold an item at all.
Lycanroc @ Choice Band
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Accelerock
- Close Combat
- Play Rough
- Crunch
Lycanroc can threaten the many Pokemon in the tier that are weak to Rock Moves with Accelerock. It has some really good coverage that can hit a lot of Pokemon for at least neutral damage. Close Combat can deal with Steel Type Pokemon can normally threaten this team, Play Rough is useful againt Fighting Type Pokemon and Crunch is just for some extra coverage. I can easily switch Crunch for a different attack like Fire/Thunder Fang to pressure Water, Grass and Ground Type Pokemon that would usually put in Lycanroc in danger. Its naturally good Speed and Attack stats turn it into an obvious choice as a Revenge Killer or even a Wall Breaker. The Special Attacker on my team can help it break through Pysical walls if it struggles too much with them. Its bulk is nonexistent so it might die very early before even putting out any damage though.
In Summary my team has a balance between bulky, slow Walls and really fragile, fast Attackers and they are supposed to help minimize each others weaknesses, Obviously Cradily is supposed to play the main role, but thats just because I am sightly biased, because in the end every member here plays a unique role on the team. I just picked these specific pokemon to cover Cradily weaknesses and in return Cradily covers some of the weaknesses of the team too.
Please let me know what you think of this team. :D
