[SET COMMENTS]
Cramorant acts as a decent offensive Defogger in the Never Used metagame. It differenciates itself from other forms of hazard control, such as Rotom-S and Eldegoss, with its ability to handle several of the metagame's more common Stealth Rock setters. Golurk, Sandaconda, Galarian Stunfisk, and Piloswine are all forced out by Cramorant, giving it opportunities to Defog away the hazards that they lay down. Cramorant's ability Gulp Missile also allows it to either paralyze or damage Pokemon that look to make contact with it while attacking, such as Sawk, Kangaskhan, Silvally-Dark. It also has access to reliable recovery and a decent defensive typing that gives it handy resistances to Fighting-, Steel-, and Fire-type attacks, as well as a Ground immunity. Surf is chosen over Scald due to its ability to activate Gulp Missile. Hurricane allows Cramorant to threaten Grass-types such as Decidueye, Abomasnow, and Eldegoss, as well as hitting Toxicroak. Max Speed with a Timid Nature makes Cramorant as fast as possible and enables it to outspeed many of the tiers hazard setters, including Piloswine, Sandaconda, and Golurk, therefore forcing them out.

Look to keep Gulp Missile primed if possible; it will make Pokemon that would otherwise not be afraid to attack Cramorant, such as Kangaskhan, Silvally-Dark, and Gourgeist-S hesitate to attack. This can give Cramorant opportunities to Defog or pivot out to a teammate. Cramorant appreciates Pokemon that can comfortably switch into Electric- and Rock-type attacks. Therefore, Ground-types work as good partners. Stealth Rock setters such as Sandaconda and Golurk appreciate this specific set of resistances and can set Stealth Rock for your team to take advantage of. Galarian Stunfisk is another standout option, as it appreciates Cramorant's Fighting- and Fire-type resistances, as well as its Ground immunity. This can allow the two to pivot around dangerous Pokemon, such as Kangaskhan, Toxicroak, and Rotom. Keep in mind that Cramorant is fairly frail and doesn't actually switch into hazard setters like Piloswine or Golurk very well. Pivots such as Alolan Persian and Togedemaru can lure in these Pokemon and get Cramorant in safely. Cramorant matches up well against several Stealth Rock setters, but it isn't a great answer to others, such as Clefairy, and most setters of Spikes, like Ferroseed and Garbodor, can take it on. Finding answers to these threats, such as Toxicroak for the former two, or Piloswine for the latter, is very helpful.

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

  • Make this the standard set. Offensive Defog.
  • Explain which key threats it outspeeds -> threatens them out -> Defog, Surf to proc gulp, decently strong hurricane
  • "Cramorant's talents make it useful for balance teams, as they appreciate Cramorant dealing with several of the most common Stealth Rock setters, therefore giving the team opportunities " Delete or reword, this sentence is too vague.
  • You focused a bit too much on it defogging in the second paragraph. I'd like to see more in terms of what it does to support others bar defogging.
  • Mention that despite the useful typing it's still quite frail to switch into stuff.
QC 1/2 when you're done
