Arena: A large valley high in the mountains. Snow (not hail) falls gently. The wind is steady and constant flowing down from the mountains. Occasionally the wind gusts and blows harder. The ground though cold is not frozen solid. In the middle of the valley is a small semi-frozen stream. On one side there is a extremely steep wall: on the other side is a gently slopping wall. Strewn along the bank of the stream are a few large boulders. The battle will take place in the day.
Summary:
Digging is allowed.
Snowing.
Occasionally wind will gust and will have either an Icy Wind effect or a Powder Snow effect.

So, here's the order of play:
Crayon313 sends out their first Pokémon and declares the ability that will be used.
DoomofBliss does the same, and also gives orders for the round.
Then Crayon313 gives orders for the round.
I ref, the order switches, and the battle continues until we have a winner!

OK Starfish we are going to play this Defensively. I want you to Use Featherdance to lower Aron's attack, making him tired will hopefully have other effects too. After that I want you to fly high in the sky and out of the valley as much as possible to further you from Aron's Attack. Then I want you to turn around and use another Featherdance, and wait in the sky.

Round 1: Start!

A chill wind blows right through the area, the valley only serving to focus the cold right towards the battlers. The rock of doom's steel plating blocks out much of the freezing wind, but Starfish's feathers are completely exposed - these conditions are exactly the reason that Starly migrate!

Well, maybe a battle will help warm her up! Going against every instinct of self-preservation she has, Starfish sheds some feathers with a Featherdance, shuddering with cold as she does so. The rock of doom charges right through the feathers, but it looks like he's been worn out before he's even started his attack! He's determined to pull off this manoeuvre though - he runs headlong at Starfish, jumps, and Hardens his body at the apex of his leap, adding more weight and speed to his Head Smash, creating a deadly combination! Starfish is knocked right back, and when she finally stops sliding in the snow, she lies there inert for a few seconds, dazed by the overwhelming force of the rock of doom's assault.

Exhausted from pulling off such a technique, the rock of doom stands still, panting. Starfish struggles back into the air, and takes this chance to climb high, high into the sky, until she's way out of her opponent's range.

It's not easy to aim from way up there, especially taking the wind into account, but Starfish's second Featherdance is bang on target, making the rock of doom feel uncharacteristically sluggish. I suspect he's almost thankful that he can't possibly hope to reach Starfish to pull of an Iron Head. Almost.

What's this? Is the wind picking up already? The previously gently falling snow is suddenly accelerated by an intense gust of wind! With the valley being so deep, Starfish was unable to climb right out of it, and it's her who's hit the hardest by the volley of wind and snow. It chills the rock of doom too, but boy, he has to be thankful for that protective layer of steel he's sporting. Luckily, the wind dies down as quickly as it picked up, and the snow resumes its gentle, rhythmic descent onto the battlefield.

Right now, Starfish is gliding around high up in the valley, out of the rock of doom's range.

That was a good job Starfish. I want you to Close your wings and drop. Gravity is going to power this attack. On your way towards Aron I want you to use Quick Attack to further increase your speed and Steel Wing to harden your wings and attack Aron. If the wind kicks no matter how cold it is use it to your advantage to further power you dive bomb. If you can hit Aron in a way that will push him into the water do it. When you do hit, use your momentum and continue on with a Quick Attack to fly out of range again up into the sky.

Use a rock tomb to keep thin noob on the floor, then pull off the coveted IRON HEAD SMASH, where you use an Iron Head to smash on starly, but it's still rock type ^.^

Round 2: Start!

Starfish flaps her wings once, then pulls them in close to her body, maximising her speed with Quick Attack. The rock of doom is a long way away from her, so he has time to position himself accordingly for his attack. Starfish begins to level out as the reaches the base of the valley, and as she does so, she stiffens her wings whilst still maintaining speed. Ready for this, the rock of doom attacks Starfish with Rock Tomb... but Starfish is simply too quick, and he just can't hit her! There's nothing he can do to stop Starfish's Steel Wing accelerated by gravity and that Quick Attack, and it doesn't help that Starfish lands it with pinpoint accuracy - her wingtip strikes the vulnerable underside of the rock of doom's neck! The rock of doom slides back through the snow, his hind legs almost slipping into the stream!

Starfish uses her residual speed and a few flaps of her wings to climb back up into the sky, too tired for another Quick Attack right now. It doesn't look like the rock of doom can reach her anyway, and both Pokémon remain where they are, glaring at one another.

Round 2: End!


Starfish is only at about half the height she was last time, but the rock of doom still can't jump up to reach her. The rock of doom is perilously close to the stream.

Starfish Your doing great. I want you to to use Double Team and make two copies of yourself. When Aron surfaces I want you to use Whirlwind to whip up the wind towards Aron. In this valley the cold should make the wind damaging or freezing and hopefully if you put enough power behind it might blow him back towards the water. Finally finish up with another Featherdance.

Round 3: Start!

Having caught her breath after that combination move, Starfish circles around her current position at great speed, creating two identical, yet insubstantial, Starfish clones with Double Team. Once she's done, she looks for the rock of doom, but he's nowhere to be seen! A few moments pass, and eventually, the rock of doom Digs upwards from the ground, having positioned himself a little further away from the stream.

The three Starly flaps their wings in unison, creating a massive Whirlwind that blasts down the valley towards the rock of doom. The particles of snow and ice that are picked up by the strong gust give it a sort of Icy Wind feel. It's very chilly, but it doesn't push the rock of doom back very far on account of his weight. Though the chill does slow the rock of doom down, it's also quite invigorating mentally, and his physical fatigue seems to wash away. The rock of doom then makes his whole body smoother, negating the speed drop with Rock Polish - and gaining a little extra, too.

Having just lifted the rock of doom's state of tiredness, Starfish immediately looks to re-inducing it with Featherdance. Fluffy down gets Aron feeling weaker again, but with a second Rock Polish, at least he's feeling fast!

Round 3: End!


Starfish is is the same position as she was last round. The rock of doom is about 4 metres from the river.

Okay Starfish, I want you to do another Dive Bomb combo. I want you all three of you to come from a different direction that way Aron has a harder time guessing. When your done with that, you will probably be weak so fly back into the sky or if you can quick attack high in the sky.
