Set Details
========
- Calm Mind Lunala is able to easily set up thanks to Shadow Shield and can just as easily run away with the game. With its naturally good matchups into Zamazenta-C, Calyrex-I, and Iron Hands, Calm Mind Lunala finds itself as a strong piece in the metagame.
- Moonblast is an amazing coverage move for Lunala, letting it threaten Dark-types that resist Moongeist Beam like Grimmsnarl and Urshifu-S while also providing a way to hit the Ghost-immune Normal-types like Farigiraf.
- Leftovers grants Lunala passive recovery, letting it slowly patch up its Shadow Shield and making it even harder to take down.
- The HP EVs are optimized for Leftovers recovery. When combined with the given Defense EVs, Lunala has a very high chance to survive a Tera Water Surging Strikes from Mystic Water Urshifu-R in the rain as well as a Life Orb-boosted Sucker Punch from Chien-Pao. The Special Defense allows Lunala to survive a Life Orb-boosted Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S. An important thing to keep in mind is that all of these are taking Shadow Shield into account, which greatly boosts Lunala's survivability. The Special Attack investment lets Lunala cleanly OHKO non-Focus Sash Chien-Pao with Moonblast.
- Tera Fairy is a great Tera type for Lunala, letting it resist the STAB moves of Dark-types like Chi-Yu that formerly threatened it. On top of this, Lunala is able to shed its weakness to Ghost-type moves of threats like Flutter Mane, gain an immunity to Draco Meteor from the likes of Miraidon and Raging Bolt, and boost the power of Moonblast, notably OHKOing Miraidon after a Calm Mind.

Teambuilding
=========
- Since this set doesn't have the space to contain Wide Guard, Calyrex-S becomes a very tough matchup for Lunala, especially when it can use Encore to force Lunala to use Calm Mind over and over again. Lunala can also struggle to take hits from strong physical attackers like Koraidon and Calyrex-I due to its rather mediocre Defense stat.
- Without Tera Fairy, Dark-types like Urshifu, Incineroar, and Chi-Yu are all still very problematic for Lunala, hitting hard with Wicked Blow, Knock Off, and Dark Pulse, respectively, and not taking much from Lunala's Moongeist Beam in return. Snarl users like Raging Bolt and sometimes Miraidon are also annoying, preventing Lunala from gaining Special Attack boosts from Calm Mind.
- Miraidon is a good option to partner up with Calm Mind Lunala, nuking any Dark-types with Electro Drift or Dazzling Gleam or neutering strong special attackers like Calyrex-S and opposing Lunala with Snarl. Thanks to Choice Scarf, Miraidon can also easily outspeed opposing Miraidon and Raging Bolt and KO them with Draco Meteor. Koraidon is also able to deal with Dark-types but struggles a bit more into other Restricted Pokemon when Koraidon cannot move before its foes.
- Rillaboom is a great partner for Lunala, using Fake Out to disrupt foes to let Lunala freely set up and setting up Grassy Terrain, which not only overrides Miraidon's Terrain but also provides Lunala with even more passive recovery. Incineroar can also use Fake Out to support Lunala, with other options like Intimidate and Will-O-Wisp to better disrupt physical attackers.
- Other forms of damage reduction such as Grimmsnarl's dual screens and Volcarona's Struggle Bug can also help protect Lunala. The same goes for redirection support, with Pokemon like Ogerpon-C and the aforementioned Volcarona providing Lunala with a free turn to use Calm Mind.
- Incineroar highly benefits Lunala, as it threatens Calyrex-S with Knock Off, punishing it for trying to use Encore into Lunala, while resisting and mitigating the damage of many strong physical attackers, namely Calyrex-I, Chien-Pao, and Rillaboom. In return, Lunala is able to pressure the Fig
- Wide Guard support from the likes of Zamazenta-C is a great option to keep Lunala safe, notably blocking powerful moves such as Astral Barrage and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-S and Calyrex-I, respectively.

The Special Defense allows Lunala to survive a Life Orb-boosted Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S. Mention that all these defensive calcs are with Shadow Shield intact The Special Attack investment lets Lunala cleanly OHKO non-Focus Sash Chien-Pao with Moonblast.
- Tera Fairy is a great Tera for Lunala, letting it now resist the Dark-types like Chi-Yu that formerly threatened it. On top of this, Lunala is able to shed its weakness to Ghost-types like Flutter Mane, gain a immunity to Draco Meteor from the likes of Miraidon and Raging Bolt, and can boost the power of Moonblast, notably OHKOing Miraidon after a Calm Mind.

Teambuilding
=========
- Without Wide Guard, Calyrex-S becomes a very tough matchup for Lunala, especially when it can use Encore to force Lunala to use Calm Mind over and over again. Lunala is particularly vulnerable to heavy hitters like Koraidon and Miraidon as Lunala lacks a immediate recovery tool like Recover to reliably heal up the damage taken. I don't like this line, Lunala has never been able to sustain itself with a move like Recover. Mention that it can't take hits as easily since it doesn't get the +1 Defense boost like the Electric Seed set
- Even with Moonblast and Tera Fairy, Dark-types like Urshifu, Incineroar, and Chi-Yu are all still very problematic for Lunala, hitting hard with Wicked Blow, Knock Off, and Dark Pulse, respectively, Not that hard, 252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 220 HP / 76 Def Tera Fairy Lunala on a critical hit: 72-86 (30 - 35.8%) -- 37.2% chance to 3HKO, 4 Atk Incineroar Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 220 HP / 76 Def Tera Fairy Lunala: 31-37 (12.9 - 15.4%) -- possible 7HKO, 252+ SpA Beads of Ruin Chi-Yu Dark Pulse vs. 220 HP / 116 SpD Tera Fairy Lunala: 44-52 (18.3 - 21.6%) -- possible 5HKO and not taking much from Lunala in return. Snarl users like Raging Bolt and sometimes Miraidon are also annoying, preventing Lunala from getting the ball rolling. Too vague
Koraidon is also able to deal with Dark-types, but struggles a bit more into other Restricted Pokemon when without speed control. I suggest rephrasing this to something like when Koraidon can't attack before its foes. Lunala does provide speed control with Trick Room
- Rillaboom is a great partner for Lunala, using Fake Out to disrupt foes to let Lunala freely set up and setting up Grassy Terrain which not only overrides Miraidon's terrain, needing its damage output, but it also provides Lunala with even more passive recovery. Incineroar can also use Fake Out to support Lunala, with other options like Intimidate and Will-O-Wisp to better disrupt physical attackers.
- Other forms of damage negation such as Grimmsnarl's dual screens or Volcarona's Struggle Bug can also help protect Lunala. The same goes for redirection support, with Pokemon like Ogerpon-C and the aforementioned Volcarona providing Lunala with a free turn to use Calm Mind .

(Chien-Pao is the last Pokemon to call a resist honestly, focusing on bulkier stuff Lunala struggles to hurt without Moonblast would make more sense.)
- Leftovers grants Lunala passive recovery, letting it slowly patch up its Shadow Shield or and makes (Picky but Leftovers does both of these instead of one or the other) it even harder to take down.
- The HP EVs are optimized for Leftovers recovery. When combined with the given Defense EVs, Lunala is able to survive a Tera Water Surging Strikes from Mystic Water Urshifu-R in the Rain (I believe Urshifu has a 1.5% chance to kill so might have to clarify this calc is almost always, or switch it to smth like Band Shifu in Rain) as well as a Life Orb-boosted Sucker Punch from Chien-Pao. The Special Defense allows Lunala to survive a Life Orb-boosted Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S. - Without Wide Guard, (I think this should clarify that this Lunala doesn't use Wide Guard or just remove it, since this suggests Lunala can be paired with Wide Guard to alleviate the CSR match up. If it can; better to mention in partners section, if it can't; this is misleading. Similar thing for Electric Seed in that the item isn't mentioned anywhere else in the set) Calyrex-S becomes a very tough matchup for Lunala, especially when it can use Encore to force Lunala to use Calm Mind over and over again. Without Electric Seed, Lunala can struggle to take hits from strong physical attackers like Koraidon and Calyrex-I.

(Good that they all help Lunala set up but I don't think there are enough Pokemon here taking care of other problematic match ups, i.e: Fake Out doesn't stop Calyrex-S from threatening Lunala and Encoring it into passive plays. Should bring up how Incineroar threatens Calyrex-S and mitigates the damage output of physical attackers like Calyrex-I and Chien-Pao which can be an issue.)

- Incineroar highly benefits Lunala as it threatens Calyrex-S with a Knock Off, punishing it for trying to press Encore into Lunala. Incineroar also resists and mitigates the damage of many strong physical attackers, namely Calyrex-I, Chien-Pao, and Rillaboom. In return, Lunala is able to pressure the Fighting-types like Iron Hands that Incineroar tends to struggle with.
Consider moving the physical attacker bit to the other Incineroar sentence, or merging both.
- Wide Guard support is a great option to keep Lunala safe, notably blocking powerful moves such as Astral Barrage and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-S and Calyrex-I, respectively.
Any examples?

Just these two and you can move onto GP!
