Back in the early 2000s on the GameFAQs board for Gold/Silver I vehemently opposed the term "Uber" to describe the tier that included at that time only Mew, Mewtwo, Ho-oh, Lugia, and sometimes Celebi. My argument being it was a cringe term used by edge kids who were flunking German and the "tier" had only that handful of powerful mons which arguably had counters back in the "overused" tier. In fact back then overused was a term that had a negative connotation that equated to "no creativity".
