SV OU Crit Me Not Iron Crown Offense

I had the idea for the team while seeing a team by Blim using a max speed:Iron Crown:with the same moves as mine. It was really good at sweeping teams and so I decided to build a team around it.

:sv/iron crown:
The first mon that I added was a booster speed Iron Crown. Later on I realized that the most important thing it needs to out speed is :ogerpon-wellspring: and so it is not quite max speed, allowing me to have a higher special attack stat. :ironcrown: has one of the strongest stored powers and is bulky if you invest in it which lead to me aiming for the crit me not idea. I went for 248 hp, 24 spa, 236 spe evs with 20 attack ivs and a timid nature. :Iron Crown: beats :Ogerpon-Wellspring: while not teraed and it uses tera dark to beat gholdengo. Calm Mind is used to boost spa and spd and iron defense to boost def. It would just lose to gambit and blissey if it didn't run a focus blast that is unfortunately frequently required to connect. If it got anything more accurate I would have used it. Iron Crown is a premium abuser of screen support which lead to me adding my personal favorite pokemon.

We ran out of budget ata-ninetales to get fancy sprites. It runs max speed to outspeed and get screens up without having to deal the stun spore from ribombee. Keeping it alive is a losing battle, but people think it is 252 spa most of the time so I instead run 248 hp 8 spa timid nature to exploit the defensive switch out. It is somewhat of a suicide lead and trys to support Iron Crown or Great Tusk. It runs light clay as its's item which allows it's aurora veil to last longer. It rounds out it's move slots with encore to allow any opposing rocks leads to be set up fodder, then freeze dry and moonblast to complete the dual stab. It is tera water but in all games that I have played while testing this team, I have never teraed it.

Great Tusk is the best pokemon in SV OU and it isn't even close. VGC has Incineror and OU has GT. The role compression it has is unmatched and I do need something so I don't auto lose to hazard stack. It has bulk up to be the physical set up threat, and uses headlong rush to be able to OKO Gholdengo. It also uses rapid spin and ice spinner to further 1v1 most of the metagame while removing hazards, terrain, and boosting speed. Great Tusk is also bulky enough to help beat ogerpon after it uses it's tera grass. This set is shamelessly ripped from Pinkacross for all of these reasons and is eved to live 2 hits from raging bolt and kill it. That gives it a spread of 104 hp 140 atk 12 spd and 252 spe with a jolly nature. This was a strong screen abusing core but lacked any momentum abusing mons and so needed some pivots. Tera Normal is good for it's bulk and is neutral to all of the moves it is weak to, it's normal type.

Lando-T is one of the best pokemon of all time and has one of the strongest u-turns in the game. I went for the choice scarf so I could have some more speed control. I also changed tera ice tera blast for stealth rocks and a tera bug u-turn. Tera Blast is the most toxic thing left in scarlet and violet and some hazards to break sashes would be useful for this team. After adding this, the stall matchup is still nearly unplayable but adding stealth rocks makes it a little bit better. Lando-T is running a jolly nature with max speed, 8 hp, 240 attack, and 8 spd. Adding those spd related evs made it feel a little bulkier while facing special attackers. It has stone edge for corv and eq for all non ground immune mons. I still felt like my team was a little bit slow so decided to add the fastest relavent mon.

Dragapult is so fast it is actually insane and also has one of the best mixed sets in the game. When you don't know what to do you add boots so that is what I did. Pult is the first mon on the team with more than one ability and is running infiltrator which makes it not need dragon darts. Will-o-Wisp is really good at nerfing physical mons and it is running hex to abuse the burn it spreads. Draco Meteor is really powerful and so why not abuse that? This rounds out the dual stab and I want more momentum which leads to it running u-turn. Tera Fairy is good at at least being neutral to all of the special attacks and is immune to the dragon moves it used to be weak to.

This team has an atrocious matchup into stall and lacks a lot of longevity. Alo makes the matchup remotely bareable and it's wish passing helps out all of my other mons. It uses max hp and def with the remainder in spd. Tera Ghost helps it spin block which is nice and allows it to really counter Great Tusk. Flip Turn allows it to wish pass even better, protect allows alo to get the wish recovery, scald lets it burn fish, and why use alo without wish. Relaxed nature and 0 spe ivs allow it to have one of the slowest pivots in the game.

It is a long thread and so if you got through it, thank you. I think it is a pretty good team but has some weaknesses. The stall matchup isn't great, and if it can't get veil up against something like scarf gholdengo the team defensively collapses. Here is the Pokepaste: https://pokepast.es/d0d697c9a5958f9d
