Crobat 1v1

Which Pokemon should I do next?

Crobat is to be used in 1v1 due to it's unique traits. Its Poison+Flying combination is a useful defensive typing, resisting three priority moves, (Vacuum Wave, Bullet Punch, and Mach Punch) taking neutral damage against three, (Sucker Punch, Quick Attack, and ExtremeSpeed) and weak to only one. (Ice Shard.)
Crobat is very versatile, you can try a Nasty Plot sweep, a Taunt+Roost stall, or an all out offense with its devastating Brave Bird. Without further ado, I'll explain each set.
'Tis Merely a Flesh Wound!

Crobat (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Super Fang
Ice Beam? 'Tis merely a flesh wound! Thunderbolt? 'Tis merely a flesh wound! Stone Edge? 'Tis merely a flesh wound. All Monte Python references aside, Crobat's blistering Speed combined with Roost can give Crobat an edge over your gullible opponents trying to take advantage of Crobat's weaknesses. Crobat can usually deliver a hit or two before it is close to being knocked out, which is when you use Roost. Crobat is not indestructible, however. Here are some weaknesses of this Crobat set.

STAB Stone Edge + Super Effective + Sandstorm
You're probably wondering, "But Koga just said that Stone Edge is "merely a flesh wound!" Well yes. And no. If you don't use Roost, you will be OHKO'd. If you do use Roost, you will resist Stone Edge, but still take some damage. So, you will be locked into Roost, whilst taking additional Sandstorm damage. How will you be able to damage Tyranitar? Mindgames. Unless Tyranitar is using a Choice Band, (which it usually is.) the opposing Trainer will realize your strategy. If you feel as though you can rely on your opponent to have a learning curve, DO NOT USE ROOST! They will certainly go for Earthquake, and you can use Super Fang to Weedle away their HP. Next turn, use Roost. They may begin to recognize a pattern, so keep on trying to throw them off.

STAB Zen Headbutt + Super Effective + Choice Scarf
Jirachi is rather slow, but hey, what else is Choice Scarf for? There is really nothing to prevent your Crobat from being ruined by this 2.4 lbs behemoth. Wow. Doesn't sound too scary. Well, if you ever come across this guy, you'll know what I mean.
094.gif
STAB Shadow Ball + Super Effective Thunderbolt
Gengar, although rarely seen in 1v1, is a major threat to Crobat. The ones I've seen usally carry Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball, both of which can injure Crobat pretty badly, and in Shadow Ball's case, regardless of Super-Effectiveness. The Tyranitar stall idea will not really work here due to Shadow Ball not caring in the least whether Crobat is on the ground or not.

Nasty Plot Wannabe
169.gif

Crobat (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Heat Wave
- Nasty Plot

Let's face it. Crobat is not your typical Nasty Plot user. But this set takes care of most of the Crobat counters. (There are more than listed above, I just didn't have the time to analyze each and every one of them.) Air Slash for some powerful STAB damage, HP Fighting for those pesky Tyranitar, and Heat Wave for Scizor and other Steel-Types that Brave Bird just couldn't put damage on.
Counters:

STAB Shadow Ball + Super Effective Thunderbolt
Geez, Crobat cannot seem to get rid of this guy, can he? Bite would work as a good way to stop it, but it seems like it wouldn't be used for much else, Jirachi dominating as the 1v1 Psychic-type over Pokemon like Alakazam or Starmie.

213.gif
Accupressure
Oh god. Remember that gimmicky Accupressure Shuckle you used to run thinking you were the coolest Trainer ever? Well now it's come back to Haunter you. The best way to deal with this one is to use 4 Nasty Plots, and then Giga Drain it until it dies. Hopefully, its evasion/special defense have not risen. If either have, you are in for a tough time.
149.gif
STAB Outrage+Choice Band
Not much to say about this ol' feller. It 2HKO's Crobat with Outrage, and Crobat has no means of defending itself against this guy.

445f.gif
STAB Outrage + Swords Dance + Stone Edge
It seems like the best way to deal with this one is spam Air Slashes and hope for critical hits and flinches.
386-defense.gif
Taunt+Mirror Coat
Although the earlier set can deal with Deoxys TrollImeanD, this one will ruin your Crobat.
It will Taunt you, so first use Nasty Plot, and then use Air Slash until you get a Critical Hit.
Well, that's all, folks! Enjoy trying to use Crobat, and if you are looking for something to do, you can click these links of me trying to use Crobat!

Not at all man! Don't get sad if people don't say anything, I actually think your idea is very interesting :)

Atleast it's rather unique, I'm tired of always seeing the same pokémon on the 1v1 ladder. I once even used a Golbat set with eviolite to some success, so I can totally see where this is coming from!

Keep being unique, surprise is a HUGE factor, and I seriously believe you got talent there. Kudos for this great set !

No problem, I really like your creativity so I think you should be getting some more focus! All I said was true :)

Meanwhile, I was wondering, how do you deal with Whimsicott? He's a huge 1v1 threat (the Stall one), and I'm not entirely sure how you'd respond to it.

I guess he'd probably scout (Protecting) on turn 1.

That or he would use Leech Seed on you, and you would probably use Brave Bird, but considering he's sashed, he'd live. He would then proceed to protect->sub->protect->sub,...
till you die. I think he deserves a mention as a counter :)

Unless Leech Seed fails I don't see how you can beat it (most pokémon can't anyway, that Whimsicott set is a beast)

Good luck!
