ORAS OU Cryogenic Fission - Hyper Offense

Hey guys, your fav. battler ChokolateThundah here. I'm only joking. Well after seeing Arik's awesome Medisharp OU Hyper offense (Link at the bottom of post), I decided to try out my own. It was tough. I spent like the entire day during school trying to come up with current threats and what is and what isn't reliable now, and I came down to this team. Honestly, it's not as good as Arik's awesome team, but hey, it's the A E S T H E T I C that counts amirite? Well, here is my team, Cryogenic Fission.

The Team - チーム

Choice Scarf.png

-Outrage
-Ice Beam
-Iron Head
-Fusion Bolt

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
Ability: Terravolt

Holy hell, where do I even begin? Well, the fact that this thing is in OU with a BTS of around 700 with base 170 ATK is something to start. Did I mention it's tanky and scarf viable? This thing is a KILLER. Sweep entire teams with this +VoltSwitch Rotom. Outrage is the primary stab, preferably used after the Fairy or Steel type of the opposer is killed off. Ice Beam is to deal with T-Stall Gliscor, and is pretty handy against Hippowdown and Lando. Iron Head for any Fairy such as Sylv/Clefable, and Fusion Bolt as a Flex + Azumarill, which next to Talonflame, I WILL NEVER USE BECAUSE IT IS THE DEVIL. (Note I said this about Garchomp, Bisharp, Rotom-Wash, and Latios...). All in all, a power-house that is the physical star of the team.

Garchomp.png

Lum Berry.png 噴射 - Jet (Garchomp)
Lum Berry.png

-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw/Outrage
- Stealth Rock

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
Ability: Rough Skin
I loved how this dude worked out on Arik's Medisharp team. It was actually pretty fast, with base 102 speed and around 130 ATK. Rocks are to help give that sash-breaking status for pokemon like Weavile, as well as utility for Talon, Zard, and Volcarona. I love using it. I loved using it IGN. Who doesn't? It's a dragon with the body of a Jet plane. Dude I even named it Jet (Originally Samehada). Well, Rough Skin is pretty Bread n' Butter on most Garchomps now. S-Dance enough, and you can KO Scizors and Ferros in 1 shot with EQ. Dragon Claw is much safer than Outrage, as you already have it on Kyurem-B. Lum Berry is more or less to get de-toxified (Is that a word?) or get rid of a Will - o - Wisp. Fun Fact: I started competitive OU pokemon in 2012. Wasn't until 2014 that I realized Burns reduce ATK.

Bisharp.jpg

Life Orb.png
意図 - Intention (Bisharp)
Life Orb.png

-Swords Dance
-Knock Off
-Sucker Punch
-Iron Head

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
Ability: Defiant
Like the Garchomp, I ADORED how this worked on Arik's Medisharp. I originally ran the same set, just a sash instead of a life orb. Knock-Off is great. With Bisharps great base attack, and its STAB just adds to it. It can break other Kyurem-Bs w/Scarf since it can tank Outrage (With very little HP remaining). Sucker Punch is a great for priority and can be used to bait, and Iron Head for fairies/grass. Overall, a great Dark type, and fits on several teams.

Rotom.jpg

Lefties.png
機械 - Machine (Rotom-Wash)
Lefties.png

-Hydro Pump
-Volt Switch
-Will-o-Wisp
-Confuse Ray/Pain Split

EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
Ability: Leviate
The Bread n' Butter Rotom-Wash set. This thing can break sweeps, and be annoying for Physical Attackers and Special Attacker's alike. Hydro Pump and Volt-Switch for the Volting and Pumping. Will-o-Wisp to drop attackers, and Confuse Ray to annoy even more. I saw other people running P-Split, but if you are Splitting, your probably at low HP and due to your low speed, your not living. Overall, I use it for breaking stalls, forcing switch-ins, and general harassment.

Latios.png

latiosite.png純度 - Purity (Latios-Mega)
latiosite.png

-Psyshock
-Draco Meteor
-Thunderbolt
-Roost

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
Ability: Levitate
Originally, I didn't run a Mega on this team (it was an l-orb latios), but Mega Latios has a better Stat Total and it's purple soooo. Well, Latios was originally Latios w/Defog, but Rocks honestly aren't a problem for this team spare Kyurem. So, Latios has a great arsenal of Special Attacks, my personal fav. being Draco Meteor. This Dragon STAB will take out most things in one hit. Psyshock is to break Special Walls, as it is a special attack going of the opponent reg. Defense. Thunderbolt as a filler, and Roost for longevity.

Magnezone.png

Dream_Air_Balloon_Sprite.png 分体 - Fission (Magnezone)Dream_Air_Balloon_Sprite.png
-Thunderbolt
-Flash Cannon
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Substitute

EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
Ability: Analytic
This team is called Cryogenic Fission. Cryogenic being Kyurem. Fission being home-slice Magnezone. Holy crap, does this thing get work done. Subsitute is the first thing you use, preferably, use Magnezone to force a switch in, sub during the switch-in, then profit. Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon are the essential STAB fillers, and you can even use Thunder if you live on the edge. HP Fire + Analytic guarentee a 2HKO on most Scizors/Ferros. This thing is probably 2nd in command for MVP, right after Kyurem.

Heres a link to the team that inspired me to make this one. Definitely deserves more recognition:

Hey nice team, a few suggestions.

-You would better off be using Life Orb Latios over Mega Latios, who performs the same role your Mega Latios does, only with more power.
-Please have your formatting in black. The Magnezone's info is hard to read tbh
-Your team has a mild weakness to Fairies. Offensive Fairies in OU, such as Mega Gardevoir and Mega Diancie, can clean up once Magnezone is gone. Both are capable of defeating Bisharp, and then they can proceed to sweep your team.
-Put Defog on your Latios instead of Thunderbolt, or HP Fire. HP Fire is helpful for defeating Ferro.

May I suggest Tank Garchomp? Not only is it surprisingly bulky, but it generally does a better job at setting up rocks than offensive SR Garchomp.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast

Hey man, solid team you got there, but i have a couple of suggestions.
  • Physically Defensive Rotom-W over Specially Defensive Rotom-W gives you a more consistent Talonflame check.
  • Mega Latios isn't really viable in OU at all and I think bulky SD Mega Scizor would be the better Mega to fit this team because your team is very weak to Mega Diancie with there being no counters to it on your team. Yes, Kyurem B checks it, but sending it out on a Diancie pretty much just screams that you're Choice Scarf. Furthermore, it really does like Magnezone trapping Skarmory, one of Mega Scizor's best counters.
  • Offensive SD Mega Scizor is just a huge problem to the team, especially since it can find many opportunities to set up a Swords Dance such as on Latios and and Kyurem B. This is why I'm suggesting Choice Scarf Magnezone over Air Balloon with Magnet Pull over Analytic, so you can trap Mega Scizor and heavily weaken it with HP fire to the point where one of your other pokemon can revenge kill it. SD Lum Chomp also appreciates Magnezone killing Skarmory with a T-Bolt and Kyurem B loves Ferrothorn and Scizor gone.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 44 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

If you're wondering, 44 defense EVs prevent the 2HKO from Mega Lopunny's HJK. Hope I helped!

Just put in the 3 things you requested. I think it's for the best. The Scizor definitely makes a difference.

no problem, just watch out for the HP fire Diancie sets. They can mess Scizor up and it's another reason why I suggested Scarf Mag, for another Diancie check

Hi! This team looks very nice (even the name of the thread :O) but I think it can be easily fixed to work even better :D

First of all, I see you're weak to Char X and Ice Punch Metagross. I don't want to change your team a lot since i'd like to keep the building-line you have chosen (so megaless) so I'll try to change some spread or move in order make your team work better :D

kyurem-black.png
I can assure you, your Kyurem-B doesn't need all this speed, so you could run Naughty nature instead of this Naive nature. This would also increase Kyurem-B's firepower... 170 atk... good lord.
magnezone.png
Really nice Magnezone set, but I think you've to change its speed (at least 58 speed evs) in order to outspeed slow cb scizor, fable, sylveons etc :O
latios.png
You've got 2 Electric mons and 4 electric moves in the team, but there is no need O_O I'm suggesting you to change Latios' Thunderbolt in Earthquake since I noticed your team struggles with Heatran eccept for Garchomp. Obviosly, you've to change the Timid Nature in Naive or Hasty nature (imo Hasty).
garchomp.png
rotom-wash.png
You're really Char X Weak. After a single DD it's a GG (on Rotom, or Zone). What about to change Lum Berry in Focus Sash? It would help a bit. U could also change Garchomp spread and set into TankChomp with Endure :O If you want to keep the original chomp, another big change could be Thunder Wave on Rotom-W. This could help you against Latwins too :O Also, your rotom has to be Defensive plz D:
bisharp.png
Bisharp is a good mon, you know, but i feel like Black Glasses Adamant is the best SD Sharp in the current metagame. You don't really need the Jolly Nature and LO is just a random recoil item since Iron head kills the same things even without LO :O

I hope I helped you :O byeeee
