Concept: To Spaceworld!
Name: Tunguru
Type: Normal/Psychic
Base Stats: 100 / 65 / 85 / 120 / 85 / 30
Height: 4’4ft
Weight: 199.5lbs

Notable Moves:

Physical:
Body Slam, Snore,

Special: Dream Eater, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Hidden Power

Status: Sleep Talk, Rest, Swords Dance, Curse, Protect, Encore

Flavor/Moves: Lickitung’s movepool + Encore and Psychic

Competitive Design: Without it encroaching too much on Snorlax or Blissey's ability to take special hits, Tunguru is a pink blob that moves slow and blasts things hard, with it's low Attack stat it has to Curse many times or Swords Dance to properly keep up on that front, and with the addition of Encore and Psychic it's able to threaten new targets and help separate it even more from the bulky normal types it oh so often has to compete with. Encore has limited distribution so this is a pretty neato way to maybe let it shine on someone who can properly abuse it.

It’s a bit like a special Snorlax, but where Snorlax has more niche special moves, this lad has a more niche physical set it can opt for. :)

Visual Design: Based on the Beta Lickitung evolution from the Gold and Silver Demo

Flavor: “Now strong in both tongue and mind, Tunguru aims to enlighten both Pokemon and humans alike.”

Concept: Evolution to an already existing Pokemon- Eevee
Name: Zephyreon
Type: Flying
Base stats: 65/130/95/60/65/110

Height: 3’ft
Weight: 45 lbs

Notable Moves

Physical:
Return, Hidden Power, Body Slam, Shadow Ball, Double Edge

Special:

Status:
Baton Pass, Rest, Sleep Talk, Whirlwind.

Flavor/Moves: Eevee’s learnset + Mirror Move, Fly, Gust, Hyper Beam

Competitive Design: Gengar is labeled “an assassin” in some of the GSC stuff I’ve read and after watching and playing a bit I agree! So I wondered what about a physical assassin instead? How the labeling works is a more ‘frail’ pokemon that hits hard and fast, but has some strong offensive presence with it an immunity to a powerful type. For Gengar they can switch in on a lot of Normal moves and threaten that way… Zephyreon can do something similar by jumping over ground type moves, it also(like Gengar) has no real viable STAB option and relies on it’s high Atk and Speed to punch a hole into the opposing pokemon. It lacks boom though, but makes up for it with it’s diverse Eeveelution movepool.

Visual Design: Like all it’s brethren whose design corresponds with their respective typing, Zephyreon embodies the element of wind without going for typical Flying Type traits like wings and beaks. The art made by me pictures it soaring through the skies looking for its next challenge. The tufts on its front are feathery and soft to the touch.

Flavor: “While capable of soaring through the air, this Pokémon enjoys daring mountainside climbs before nosediving off for maximum speed.”

24 Hour warning for submissions!
Due to a managemental hiccup we've extended the submission stage to 3/2, sorry about that!

Quick Announcement | Every Wednesday on Dragon Heaven at {12pm PT, 3pm ET, 8pm GMT} a tournament will be held for the PM! It's purely a friendlies affair but the winner will receive a discord title for the week and it'll be great fun to explore the metagame of our PM, so be sure to join in!

-
Also be sure to submit/refine your current submissions before the extended deadline, these are amazing submissions already so voting will be tight!

Another amazing set of submissions this time around! I'll be listing them down below, keep in mind when voting you're voting for three seperate categories and should be ordered as such.

Concept: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokémon -- Quagsire
Pokémon Name:
Typing:
/

Base Stats: 100/105/95/70/70/45 (5 more hp, 20 more atk, 10 more def, 5 more spa, 5 more spd, 10 more speed for a 55 stat increase)
Height: 1m (3'5")
Weight: 131.0 kg (288.8 lbs)
Notable Moves:
: Earthquake, Hidden Power
: Surf, Ice Beam, Hidden Power
: Belly Drum, Rest, Curse, Haze, Sleep Talk, Amnesia
Worth noting is that they get no new moves at the time of this submission, the moves listed are all viable ones on Quagsire. Sludge Bomb is also "potentially" viable incase there's a rise of Exeggcutor in response to Exoltol being added... But I digress.
Competitive Design: Let's talk about this cutie for a moment: Quagsire is a fringe viable UU 'mon with some interesting tools to bring to the meta game... But genuinely cannot compete, it's stats JUST miss out on being able to hang out with the OU lads of the tier. Giving it an evo that brushes up on it's stats lets our lad properly shine and find viability in the meta-game. It's worth noting why the stats are not as high as say, Swamperts: To let Exoltol have a clear weakness and not overwhelm the metagame entirely. Due to how stats work in this gen, running HP Grass makes your defenses take a hit, so just running it due to the presence of a strong Water/Ground type influences a lot of matchups and the entire tier as a result. Also if he had too high of a SpA he could just BoltBeam the whole tier.

Make no mistake, this chonky lad is a monster, but a fun one.
Visual Design: It's Beta Wooper's design but as the evolution of Quagsire, the amount of meta humor found in this suggestion and implementation is immense but somehow fitting. Truly the best timeline.
Flavor: "After a disaster, it's not uncommon for the only thing left standing to be a Exoltol, trotting along in nonchalant manner as it searches for a good spot to sunbathe amongst the wreckage."

Concept: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokemon
Pokémon Name: Esscargoo (evolves from Magcargo)
Typing: Fire/Rock
Base Stats: 70 / 85 / 140 / 95 / 95 / 40 [525 BST]
Height: 4'07
Weight: 333.1 lb
Notable Moves:
… Explosion, Earthquake, Rock Slide
… Fire Blast, Hidden Power Grass
… Recover, Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Growth
Everything Magcargo otherwise gets.
Magcargo is missing a few tools to really be viable, and this helps it out a lot. Recover is a powerful defensive tool to cover for its awful defensive typing, and Growth gives it another option to try and sweep. A huge stat boost is the icing on the cake that ensures substantially more viability.

1646259830613.png

Concept: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokémon -- Sandslash
Pokémon Name: サンドスパイク Sandshard
Typing:

Base Stats: 85 HP / 110 Atk / 130 Def / 45 SpA / 60 SpD / 70 Spe (10 more hp, 10 more atk, 20 more def, 5 more spd, 5 more spe for a 50 stat increase [500 BST])
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Hidden Power (Bug), Rock Slide
Swords Dance, Substitute, Agility
(Italics = Added move)
Agility is a move Sandshrew/Sandslash learns in Gen 8.
Competitive Design: Sandshard is a mon meant to set up heavily before going on an all out offensive. It's pretty much Rock Polish / Swords Dance Rhydon in Gen 2, combined with the Atk/Def of Golem (totally not intentional). The notable difference here is that it outspeeds Aerodactyl and Jolteon after an Agility. However, it doesn't get Megahorn or Explosion, and it suffers from the same horrible specially defensive typing that Rhydon does, meaning mons like :cloyster: :exeggutor: :jynx: :starmie: :suicune: :vaporeon: will demolish it easily. That doesn't mean it won't be a lot more dangerous than Sandslash, though. Coupled with the Sandstone and it's newfound
typing, it will be able to handle airborne threads a lot more easily, even Skarmory after a Swords Dance. On the other hand, it can still get phased out by a non-majorly-chipped Skarm, it still has to take 2 turns to set up to sweep (it can just set up a Swords Dance without an Agility on ParaSpam or weakened teams, to note), and although a boosted SlideQuake is the best setup in the game, it still cannot OHKO Wak or Hera after a boost, and is severely dented by both afterwards (assuming Hera runs HP Fighting, which it might choose to in the meta shift). Shoutout to Aroofando for also being able to severely dent it with STAB Ice Beam, and Houndoom for being able to burn it thanks to Hellfire Lantern. If Sandshard sets up an Agility before a SD (which it should), it should be able to get the jump on Doom before that happens, though.
Matchups: W.I.P.
Sample sets:
Sandshard @ Sandstone
- Agility
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
Visual Design: W.I.P.
Flavor: W.I.P.

Prompt: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokemon
Pokémon Name: カゼラッタ [Kazeratta]
Typing: Dark
Base Stats: 75 / 71 / 60 / 112 / 70 / 102
Height: 0.9m
Weight: 23.2kg
Competitively Notable Moves:
Super Fang, Counter
Crunch, Ice Beam, Thunder, Pursuit, Thief
Screech, Roar
Everything else within Raticate's movepool, + Scary Face and Crunch
Honestly I just want to see a good Dark type make it into OU, so I've gone for a pure Dark type that's offensive, as it is unique for gen 2. Picked Raticate as a candidate for an evolution since it has a good toolkit (boltbeam, Pursuit, fast), and pumped up its special attack to a better level to complement.

Defensively it may leave a little to be desired, sadly. But we can think about that later down the line as with these offensive stats it can hopefully do some fun things.
Dex Entry: ラッタ [Raticate] living in the city depths where there is minimal sunlight will become カゼラッタ [Kazeratta] if they reach 100 days without seeing daylight.
(feel free to use Alolan Raticate's sprite as a placeholder for this if it wins its category)

Name: Zephyreon
Type: Flying
Base stats: 65/130/95/60/65/110

Height: 3’ft
Weight: 45 lbs

Notable Moves

Physical:
Return, Hidden Power, Body Slam, Shadow Ball, Double Edge

Special:

Status:

Flavor/Moves: Eevee’s learnset + Mirror Move, Fly, Gust, Hyper Beam

Competitive Design: Gengar is labeled “an assassin” in some of the GSC stuff I’ve read and after watching and playing a bit I agree! So I wondered what about a physical assassin instead? How the labeling works is a more ‘frail’ pokemon that hits hard and fast, but has some strong offensive presence with it an immunity to a powerful type. Concept: To Spaceworld!
PokeGoldDemo-back 234.png
PokeGoldDemo-front 234.png

Pokémon Name: ピアザー- Pierzer
Typing:
Bug
/
Ghost

Base Stats: 65 / 125 / 120 / 75 / 70 / 45 (BST 500 )
Height: 6'11"
Weight: 75 lbs
Notable Moves:
: Swarm Attack, Megahorn, Hidden Power Ghost, Submission, Double Edge, Dig
: Thief, Rest, Sleep Talk
: Protect, Swords dance
Flavor Moves: Pinsir's movepool + Night Shade, Destiny Bond, Mud Slap
Mechanical Design: After getting the idea of making a bug ghost, i came to realisation that i needed to balance it out because it was admitedly very powerful and could eaisly highly outclass other ghosts. Thats why i avoided giving it shadow ball or earthquake like horatekku does, as well as severily decreasing its speed to make it way slower than other bugs and ghosts. Pierzer is meant to to be to pinsir what scizor is to scyther: it even has the same way of distributing the stats as scizor but adding spa instead of attack. What makes pinsir be relevant is its ability to be inmune to normal/fighting moves while also resisting ground attacks. This makes it a great earthquake snorlax check, that till loses if snorlax is packing flamethrower or similar coverage. It can also attempt to make holes in the opposing team with swords dance, but is kept in check by its slow speed and relatively low speed.
Visual Design: Got the inspiration from that mask the pinsir had to make it bug ghost, which is cool since its a typing that is surprisinly really good in this generation. Name is directly inspired by the way scyther and scizor's names are very close to actual words, with its name being closed to the word piercer.
A old man invites you to its inn, where you accept dearly. He tells you to feel free to rest as much as you want in his place, and if you want, he can tell you a story of his ancestor. You accept, and the old man tells you the story of the war of two clans back before Johto had been properly civilised. Back then, the two clans, one living with scythers and one living with pinsirs, fought to no end. Their war seemed like it would last forever, but unexpectedly, the scyther clan's pokemon began to evolve into the mon now known as Scizor. The battle turned into the scyther clan's favor, pushing the pinsir clan into islands to escape. The scyther clan went to pursuit them even in the islands to end the pinsir clan, but then a miracle happened. Out of nowhere, a portal opened from the sky, and a mysterious creature emerged from it. This creature, depicted as an abstract figure with a ball for a head, managed to push back the invaders, and allowed the pinsir clan to live freely in their island. The creature then left into another portal, but it left some mysterious energy in the ashes of the enemies it vanquished. This ash caused some of the pinsir to mutate and evolve into a new pokemon. The old man now offers you a trade: "Would you like to trade my pinsir for your heracross? This pinsir holds some of the ash that was left from that battle.[yes][no]"

Concept: To Space World!
Pokémon Name: ドリーマーニャー Revitty
Typing:
1646260302949.png
/
1646260310306.png

Base Stats: 25/40/80/135/80/120
Height: 0.2m (0'9")
Weight: 1 kg (2.2 lbs)
Notable Moves:
: Night Shade
: Dream Eater, Future Sight, Hidden Power
: Nightmare, Rest, Hypnosis, Splash
Flavor/General Moves: Attract, Bide, Curse, Disable, Double Team, Dynamic Punch, Flash, Foresight, Frustration, Meditate, Mind Reader, Protect, Psych Up, Psywave, Return, Safeguard, Sonic Boom, Snore, Substitute, Sleep Talk, Teleport
Competitive Design: Revitty is an enchanting sleep based Pokémon with a unique typing and neato movepool, entirely built around interacting with it's own resting and it's opponents resting, it's a really hard hitting Pokémon entirely bound by it's Hidden Power choice and how it'll slot it's own moves in. With Splash and Night Shade, it's able to be an effective stall user, but with it's monstrous speed and special attack, it's able to also operate as a cannon... But While it holds power, it lacks versatility, and if scoped out early, can just simply uselessly splash around as it does nothing else of value.
Visual Design: Visually it's the "Beta Baby Meowth", but I've taken it as a different spin to where it would have no back legs, and instead it's tail would be more pronounced--Instead of coins floating above it, it's rippling "ghostly" eyes to glance around it as it never opens it's own eyes. I think it's really cool and still cute as all heck.
Flavor: "This feline Pokémon is the ghost of someone's pleasant dream, it lingers in this world to bring joy to others, though it must eat good dreams to remain."

Concept
: To Space World!
Pokémon Name: Luxswan (can use Stick)
Typing: Normal/Fighting
Base Stats: 77 / 80 / 70 / 78 / 77 / 80 [462 BST]
Height: 3'11
Weight: 47 lb
Notable Moves:
… Slash, Cross Chop, Hidden Power Ghost, Vital Throw
… Hidden Powers of various types
… Swords Dance, Agility, Baton Pass, Rest, Sleep Talk
Evolves from Farfetch'd so it gets everything it normally would, other than anything not listed above.
So Farfetch'd normally sucks but Stick is a cool item, especially in Gen 2 where it gives +2 crit rate, and one of the things we collectively lament is that Farfetch'd never got this evolution. This really just improves on Farfetch'd's existing gameplan of fishing for crits, and with Slash/Cross Chop having a 50% crit rate after Stick, and a base 25% crit rate on its other moves. Cross Chop plays the same way, as a higher risk STAB that must be conserved. It can't touch Ghosts without running its own HP Ghost. Vital Throw seems weird, but on a Pokemon that absolutely loves setting up, you can use it to deny Roar/Whirlwind (since Roar will fail if it goes first).

And yes, it's called Luxswan instead of Madame because Madame has no bird or luck connections, and Farfetch'd's whole design philosophy is that it's a lucky duck. Deal with it.

Height: 0.5m
Weight: 6.0kg
Competitively Notable Moves:
None
None
Transform, Sketch*
[*event only, can only be learned once]
None
This is an atempt to make a competitively viable Transform user. Overall, I can see it being no more than a fun gimmick, but I think this foundation is one that can be worked upon to see how we could stretch it get such an idea working in the Sevii Islands metagame. Seeing as Animon is the same species line as Ditto, this Pokémon can hold the Metal Powder item to boost its defenses. Sketch is only permitted once in Animon's moveset, allowing it a total of 2 moves; Transform + one other.

Sketch moves I can see being useful are: Recover, Sacred Fire, Rest, Heal Bell, Spikes, Rapid Spin, Spore, Charm, Mean Look, Substitute, Toxic (sadly Explosion and Sleep Talk can't be sketched in gen 2)
Dex Entry:
ANIMON's body is so shiny that in good weather conditions, one can see a mirror-like reflection of themselves from any angle.

Concept: A New Legend!
Pokémon Name: カンジャント Kanjanto
Typing:
/

Base Stats: 90/110/115/75/80/100
Height: 1.4m (4'7")
Weight: 98 kg (216 lbs)
Notable Moves:
: Body Slam, High Jump Kick, Vital Throw, Hidden Power
: Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Outrage, Psychic, Surf
: Curse, Roar, Scary Face, Rest, Sleep Talk, Counter, Parry, Toxic, Amnesia
Flavor/General Moves: Attract, Barrage, Comet Punch, Dizzy Punch, Double Team, Endure, False Swipe, Flail, Focus Energy, Headbutt, Hyper Beam, Mega Kick, Mega Punch, Quick Attack, Razor Wind, Sonic Boom, Substitute, Swift, Thrash, Low Kick, Mach Punch, Dynamic Punch, Jump Kick, Petal Dance, Teleport, Solar Beam, Vine Whip, Faint Attack, Protect, Twister
Competitive Design: Mechanically, there's a lot going on with Kanjanto, they're a Dragon type that hits hard and hits fast, but very noticeably lacks rock or ground type coverage outside of hidden power, with a lot of it's other tools being limited in power and being fairly esoteric so to speak. It's best STABs are a bit unreliable and unwieldy, but it's ability to apply pressure and threaten on both attacking sides is brow raising to say the least. It's flavor moves include a number of grass type attacks, and it even packs surf and psychic!
Visual Design: Despite the "fierce" looking picture(that I scribbled up in a few minutes) Kanjanto is meant to be a more elegant(if intense) fighting type that likes to surround itself with natural beauty and peace. Really consider the picture presented as a placeholder! Visual design really isn't my strong suit, but I can imagine it trying to have a nice, if loose, fighting stance.
Flavor: "It enjoys climbing to the top of the Sevii Islands, any that come to challenge it are swiftly knocked aside, though it has been seen to rush through and catch those that it fights."

Concept: New Legendary
Pokémon Name: Aquatro [aqua + quatro]
Typing: Water/Flying
Base Stats: 90 / 100 / 85 / 95 / 125 / 85 [580]
Height: 6'07
Weight: 363.7 lb
Notable Moves:
… Aeroblast, Hidden Power Ground
… Hydro Pump, Surf, Icy Wind, Ice Beam
… Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Toxic
Universals; Wing Attack, Water Gun, Rain Dance, Agility, Reflect, Rock Smash, Blizzard, Sunny Day, Mud Slap, Sandstorm, Swift, Detect, Steel Wing, Fly
The fourth legendary bird! Plays as a fairly strong mixed attacker with bulk to spare. Aeroblast pops a lot of holes, and the typical Flying resists don't handle taking Hydro Pump well. Icy Wind is pretty cool here too to compensate for its lower speed, and pairs well with Spikes support, making it difficult to switch into with the speed drop. As a bulky Water, it loves not having to worry about spikes itself. Lack of Earthquake and Thunder keep it from being a strictly better Gyarados.
1646259977106.png

Prompt: New Legendary
Pokémon Name: テリクス [Terricks]
Typing: Rock / Flying
Base Stats: 90 / 125 / 160 / 90 / 50 / 65
Height: 3.8m
Weight: 140.4kg
Competitively Notable Moves:
Rock Slide, Earthquake, Double Edge, Body Slam, Hidden Power [Flying], Wing Attack, Magnitude
Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Icy Wind
Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Toxic, Reflect, Substitute, Haze, Whirlwind
Agility, Ancientpower, Barrier, Black Hole, Dig, Double Team, Fissure, Flame Wheel, Flash, Fly, Focus Energy, Frustration + Return, Gust, Harden, Hyper Beam, Light Screen, Mud Slap, Protect, Rain Dance, Razor Wind, Reflect, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Safeguard, Sandstorm, Screech, Sky Attack, Sonicboom, Sunny Day, Tackle, Take Down, Teleport, Twister
A defensive offensive option for handling all Phys Lax variants and most physical attackers in general. The Spike immunity might enable you to be braver with your Curse attempts. The idea here is that Rock Flying typing allows this Mon to out-curse Snorlax, Machamp, Skarmory and Steelix while also being fundamentally weak to nearly all special attacks and being out-cursed by Rhydon, Golem and Tyranitar. It also has 4mss in that it must choose between Flying type coverage, Earthquake and Rock Slide on a Curse Rest set to be effective.

Think Aerodactyl, except it can wall stuff rather than check stuff, and also has the option to setup rather than hit & run.
Dex Entry:
Its wingspan is so large that テリクス [Terricks] circling high in the sky can be mistaken for a solar eclipse.

Evolution of an already existing pokemon: Exoltol, Esscargoo, Kazeratta

To Spaceworld!:
Animon, Pierzer, Tunguru

A new legend!:
Terricks, Karjanto, Aquatro

Evolution of an Already Existing Pokemon
1. Exoltol (sv)
2. Kazeratta
3. Zephyreon
4. Esscargoo
5. Sandshard

Make no mistake, each submission here is really tight, but personally, I love Exoltol too much to not put the lad at the top of the list... But genuinely all five 'mons here could be actually fun/impactful additions to the meta! Sandshard is only at the bottom because Sandslash is already playable--Kazeratta is a cool proposition that flows in line with some of the CSI lore we've written up while also being a unique addition to the game...
Zephyreon comes in when we have Dodrio kinda filling the role of a battering ram Flying type, but I think is unique enough to slot in in the meta(plus it's an eeveelution so...). Finally, Esscargoo is hella sick, but not my cup of tea, but I'd for sure fit them on a team if added.

1. Animon
2. Pierzer
3. Tunguru
4. Revitty (sv)
5. Luxswan
6. Akueria

If the evolution votes were tight, then space world's votes are AIR TIGHT. I genuinely love every submission here, Animon is a concept I've talked with Rezzo and it really does jump out as something that just oozes flavor and creativity... To the point where it just narrowly beats out Pierzer for me, which was such a strong opener to our submissions--Initially I was sad not to see the Bug/Ground idea for a Pinsir evo, but the flavor dripping from Piezer won me over.
Tunguru is a surprise last second addition by Shiny, and I totally helped so there's some bias here, but it brings unique tools to the table and like, who expected a Lickitung evo to be submitted?
Revitty is my baby, and would be a more niche addition to teams, fun fact: I designed it when I seen the Dragon Punch submission so it's kinda lacking that here... Still think it's a killer submission though, just putting it as fourth is a sign of how good everything else is. B)
Luxswan is my fifth simply by process of elimination, and I hate that! I feel like these five are all too good, I want them all in.

Akueria feels like it needed more time in the oven, I don't dislike the concept but it has a lot and it doesn't separate itself from things like Cloyster.

New Legend
1. Aquatro
2. Kanjanto (sv)
3. Terricks

The dark horse of the submissions, we only had three legends suggested! I think this was a lot trickier to try and submit for, and even still, two of our submissions ended up being some tried and true legendary birbs, I think the concept works for Aquatro but not super sold on Terricks(although it is interesting gameplaywise), and of course I have my own bias with Kanjanto-Something I left open enough for later move submissions with it's flavor moves... New Legend really struggles just by being compared to the other two categories, where the other two thrived based on the multi-category format, I think New Legend was far less fun as a result.
Doesn't mean our submissions here are bad, just that I think we should totally revisit this one in the future.

At Celio's lab, you peeked at a peculiar stone. It...looked special...yet so normal. A smooth, unassuming thing, with a dull glow... Celio, catching your eyes, glanced up at you while they went about organizing some the reports of the terrifying legendary spotted on the island.
"Ah, intrigued by the Sub-Avirstone? Take it, I have another." A small smile as you eagerly grab for the stone. "Actually I'm planning on doing another set of te-"
They are cut off as your Quagsire bounds forward and puts your hand, and the stone, in it's mouth.
Before either of you can react, they are bathed in the white light of evolution, and, in a hurry, Celio rushes to document this event down, as you rush to clean off your slobbered on hand!

By tkmof!

Hey everyone! After a few delays, we're here with the votes tallied and the 'mons you all voted for! So without further delay, let's jump right in for the chosen pokemon of Evolution of an Already Existing Pokemon, To Space World!, and a New Legend!

-

For evolutions, alluded to in the opening post, our top voted 'mon is Exoltol by Lord Zorz! Hey, that's me!
1646931145721.png

Concept: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokémon -- Quagsire
Pokémon Name: みずお Exoltol
Typing:

For Spaceworld, we are proud to welcome the top voted... Animon by Rezzo!

1646931553163.png
1646931557696.png

Prompt: Spaceworld
Pokémon Name: アニモン [Animon]
Typing: Steel
Base Stats: 72 / 72 / 48 / 72 / 48 / 72

But wait, what's this? A surprise announcement by the council right before the legend is announced????

1646931616183.png

That's right! Due to high quality of the submissions, as well as how close the top votes were, and some internal discussion... It's been decided that for the previous two prompts, we will be having two more additions added into the PM!

So with that surprise out of the way, please welcome the second most voted for fakemons in

Esscargoo
by Ema Skye for the Evolution prompt!
Concept: Evolution of an Already Existing Pokemon
Pokémon Name: Esscargoo (evolves from Magcargo)
Typing: Fire/Rock
Base Stats: 70 / 85 / 140 / 95 / 95 / 40 [525 BST]
Height: 4'07
Weight: 333.1 lb
Notable Moves:
… Explosion, Earthquake, Rock Slide
… Fire Blast, Hidden Power Grass
… Recover, Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Growth
Everything Magcargo otherwise gets.
Magcargo is missing a few tools to really be viable, and this helps it out a lot. Recover is a powerful defensive tool to cover for its awful defensive typing, and Growth gives it another option to try and sweep. A huge stat boost is the icing on the cake that ensures substantially more viability.
And Tunguru by Shiny-Raichu for the Spaceworld prompt!

And now. The moment you've all been waiting for...

The new legendary pokemon added into the PM is......

Drum roll please....

Terricks!
Once more, by our talented Rezzo , truly a terrifying(but exciting!) 'mon to add into our roster.
1646932231754.png

Below is our votes, all tallied up nice and neat for you to review, please do spot how close Exoltol and Esscargoo were! I'm just thankful we were able to add both!

There will be a period of time where these 5 'mons won't yet be on the sim, so please be patient... In the meantime, pop in to our discord server where we can get to work on art, lore, and general discussion for these lads! They're all so interesting and are sure to really shift things up for CSI I'm sure!

Our next slate will be a move slate, but the start date is not set in stone yet, although it should be soon, just need to iron out the details for it!
So please do not post submissions for it yet.

Whew, and with all of that out of the way, I'd just like to wish y'all a good day, and thank you for your amazing submissions, I hope that we continue on as strong as we have been, and that with this surprise reveal of more additions that you continue to vote for what you want to be added and all keep on your toes. :woo:

Special thanks to JosJet for doing so much work for the project, it's an honor to help out and make this post in your stead.

"...the Legacy Library..." The Professor couldn't help but smile at the sight. "There it is."
Before the researchers was the once massive library that supposedly contained all of the Fallen Kingdom's knowledge. With the tides having destroyed so much of the old Sevii Islands, burying it all under water and mystery, some would argue that finding a vault of old gold would be a real find, but the books here was beyond priceless treasure... Whatever was left of them.

"We've recovered at least three books that are still dry, Professor!" Eyes were now on the student that had arrived early, who did their best to right their composure now that their professor was gazing towards them. "T-They seems to be detailing some sort of skill for Pokemon, they're still a bit damaged however."
"Fascinating", The old professor says, stroking at his chin. "Send it to Celio, he'll take a stab at deciphering it. For now, I'll be joining the excavation team and see if there's anything else we can salvage here."
Thank you to tkmof for writing the prompt lore for this slate!

Prompt: You have been tasked with creating, at most, three new custom moves! These do not have to be one of each type(physical/special/status), however the theme is towards "event" moves, meaning aim for something with limited distribution, preferably keeping the distribution between 1-5 'mons, as well as potentially making one of the pokemon an interesting "oddball" pick for the move. Think like the Eevee-line getting Growth!

The top 3 voted for submissions at the end of the slate will be added in, with the official distribution of moves handled post-slate, with the community and council creating a final, revised list of Pokemon to distribute the new moves to, but otherwise the 'mons listed in your submission will be what is primarily considered.
I personally suggest that for some of these submissions we aim to give one of our added in fakemon something, but it's not a hard ruling here, just something to consider!

"Lays a candle which burns an attacking opponent."

Resubmission from slate 2 (won the popular vote but sadly didn't win the overall vote count)

The inspiration for this move is rather simple - GSC has no reliable methods of burning the opponent outside of Ho-oh's Sacred Fire, which has a 50% chance to burn upon landing. Therefore my curiosity lead me to wondering how a spike that burns the opponent would fit into the game.

I propose it works the same way how PSN & BRN damage work, that being, the hazard burns the target after they move. This would mean that the candle doesn't burn the opponent on entry like how other hazards work.

This should allow for a little more dynamic counterplay towards getting rid of the hazard. Golem and Starmie would come in safely and Rapid Spin the candle away without being burned, as the candle would be gone during the attack, rather than after it. It also means that physical attackers are not immediately punished with the hazard being laid, and are allowed a grace attack at full power before their attack is halved by the burn. It also means that a Pokémon waking from sleep / recovering from another status will be immediately burned upon their next move, which, while seemingly contradictory, alleviates the pressure of running Rest on everything to stall out a safe entry. Basically you either put up with the burn or you try to forcefully remove it while using your Rest Pokémon as a pivot.

Fire types and Flying types are immune. Pokémon with another non-volatile status such as sleep or poison do not get burned. This hazard is also spinnable - if this becomes too restrictive on options for counterplay, I suggest we add more options for removing it such as using a Fire type attack or limiting the amount of times that the hazard is able to afflict a burn before it automatically disappears.

Retaliate from new gens, but on a better type and with a better effect. You get a maximum of 5 burns from it, and it makes it a powerful tool to stop getting swept by Curse or Belly Drum sweepers. It becomes a powerful resource and, on those that learn it, it is either a viable coverage option, or a decently powerful STAB, so there isn't much of an opportunity cost for its, admittedly niche, effect

Move Name: Tight Grip

This pulls on the Embargo effect from Gen 4 to create another form of Leftovers denial, sharing this role with Thief. This effect makes its users a pain to switch into, especially with Spikes support. There are a few users of it I don want to highlight though. This is quite powerful on Steelix, who can shuffle around with roar while denying Leftovers. Tentacruel also finds value in this as a spinner, combining its awesome typing with its ability to deny Leftovers to give it a great matchup against Cloyster and Forretress. Geko suggested on the Discord that Animon could run this for Snorlax matchups, negating its Leftovers while preserving its own.

Itemless is the second most common item choice in GSC. A move further rewarding that choice could be cool, and lead to possibly some cool mindgames (doubtful, but maybe Tyranitar no longer runs Leftovers so it isn't taking boosted damage from this). Needing to satisfy two effects is a lot for a move, but it's a very trivial effect in GSC. Shoutouts to Gligar being Spikes immune and getting STAB on this. Pour one out for Cubone who can't stack this with Thick Club.

Re-Submission of Flower Mortar

Move Name: Flower Mortar
Typing:

BP: 70
PP: 12
Accuracy: 90
Effects: Heals the user for the initial 70bp attack, petals are then scattered around the opponent's side of the field. For 1-3 turns, at the end of their turn they lose 1/16 of their hp. This chip dmg does not heal.
Suggested Distribution: :venusaur: :Vileplume:/:bellossom: :meganium: :sunflora::golduck: :raichu:Tunguru

Balance-wise, there are currently very few Grass types in OU, and it's distinctly from a lack of good tools and sub-typings. This helps patch up that issue a bit, with the only OU 'mon Exeggutor exempt from this list it can help diversify the meta just a bit, in one where... Grass types can honestly fit into a team a lot more! The list of 'mons could extend a bit more into other Petal Dance learners(like Golduck/Raichu), but as of right now these are the first 5 I suggest.
The flavor of this move is essentially the Grass type throwing a 'bomb' of packaged petals up high and down upon the foe, with the spinning petals being what damages the opponent.
This is a resubmission of the move "Flower Mortar" from Slate 2, I believed in the idea and wanted to give it another shot, so it's a brought back here, with my initial suggestion of Raichu and Golduck also getting it being added in. Tunguru might be too strong with this but offering it as an idea!

STEEL ATTACK CONCEPT

Move Name: Shrapnel
Typing:
1647631194072.png

BP: 50
PP: 24
Accuracy: 90
Secondary Effects / Effects: Shrapnel hits twice, the first hit of this move is the Steel typing, while the other hit is of the pokemon's secondary typing, if there is no secondary typing it defaults to typeless damage. STAB is checked individually, accuracy and crit are determined by the first hit of this move(so the second hit cannot miss if the first hit hits).
Suggested Distribution: :skarmory: :magneton: :Scizor: :Forretress: :qwilfish: :kabutops:Esscargoo

I struggled for awhile on how to implement this move, going from "Steel type boom" to some kinda defense shredder. Eventually an idea from the later gens "flying press" was compared when this started to be properly put together, and here we are!

It's an interesting move that can allow certain 'mons to gain momentum and chip in matchups that they wouldn't typically, allowing them to still apply pressure by double hitting the foe. Skarm has niche use with this, but the real standout is Scizor and Forretress, who can use this move as an alternative towards Swarm Attack to more comfortably hit rocks that might want to try and come in on them. Kabutops is interesting in that it can use Swords Dance with the move, though it doesn't gain a physical Water move out of this, just a new option.

The move itself may be weak, but can be buffed in a number of ways if so.

I ALSO struggled with this move for a long time as well! You may of seen me in the discord try back during our item phase on making a signature item for Blastoise and the Gator, but just couldn't get something I was happy with submitted in-time for the voting phase.

Never fear, for I figured out a perfect fix: GSC Brine! It's really just Brine with it's number and effect, but with a much smaller distribution, and in a metagame where it can actually show off it's unique effects! I know it seems like a rip-off of just Brine(it is) but if you've seen how much effort I've put into trying to make this work you can trust when I say I'm really happy with this concept.
So strange how the idea was always just so simple, and I'm out here trying to make "Splashes the foe with water and makes them damp, when damp, opponent receives recoil when using electric type attacks" :spinda: ...

no i didnt just make uproar-

In a metagame where there is a surplus of RestTalk and Lovely Kiss, having a move that prevents and counters sleep is incredibly useful. It’s a great option to help some Pokémon beat lovely kiss Nido and Jynx, but the more important role of this is blocking Rest. Being able to block a Pokémon’s recovery is huge with chip and status. The most important Pokémon that comes to mind is Snorlax, the king of GSC OU. With it’s recovery now being limited to just leftovers, and being hit on the weaker physical side by this move gives it a niche in itself. It also has good damage output to compensate for getting locked into the move.

Cheep Shot is similar to the moves Fling and Fake Out because of the for sure flinching, but with a slight twist. Magikarp abuse! If the move is currently weak or something, we could make it do an effect for tossing a current item or something. :D

With elements of Ancient Power and High Jump Kick, This move serves as a hard hitting but risky move that gives a few pokemon listed above a powerful STAB move and others a hard hitting coverage move.

I have officially gone into the deep end but boy this is a doozy.

Rather than being a copy of trick or treat, this move is a ghost type clone of soak. You may be asking what makes this move worth running in a meta where the strongest mon is a normal type attacker and that effitevely screws up a teammate, well the answer in short is that this move screws up one of the most common ways to setup in this meta: Curse. By turning the opponent into a ghost type, Curse users lose 50% of their health each time they use the move and denies the boosts they get. This has also a lot of synergy with moves like Pursuit and Black hole, which helps justifying its use further. Its distribution is meant to be the ghosts + anything that might be scary or halloween related.
sorry for stalling out voting for such a lame sub, my bad lol

Move Name: Final Flicker

Retaliate from new gens, but on a better type and with a better effect. You get a maximum of 5 burns from it, and it makes it a powerful tool to stop getting swept by Curse or Belly Drum sweepers. It becomes a powerful resource and, on those that learn it, it is either a viable coverage option, or a decently powerful STAB, so there isn't much of an opportunity cost for its, admittedly niche, effect

Move Name: Tight Grip
Typing: Normal
BP: 60

Move Name: Bone Fetch

Suggested Distribution: :venusaur: :Vileplume:/:bellossom: :meganium: :sunflora::golduck: :raichu:Tunguru

View attachment 413648
Move Name: Shrapnel
Typing: View attachment 413649
BP: 50

Move Name: Hype Up
Typing: Normal
BP: 85
PP: 15/18/21/24
Accuracy: 100
Secondary Effects/Effects: Lasts for three turns (unless blocked by a type immunity). During those turns, no Pokemon can fall asleep and any Pokemon that was asleep wakes up.
Suggested Distribution: :phanpy:, :miltank:, :eevee:, :lickitung: (Tunguru), :snubbull:, :ursaring:

no i didnt just make uproar-

Name: Cheep Shot

Suggested Distribution: Exoltol, :feraligatr: :octillery:, :gyarados: :furret:
Description:

“Throws your current held item at the target, if the user isn’t holding an item the target will gain a Karp after damage to abuse.”

~~No Magikarps were harmed during the making of this move~~

Cheep Shot is similar to the moves Fling and Fake Out because of the for sure flinching, but with a slight twist. Magikarp abuse! If the move is currently weak or something, we could make it do an effect for tossing a current item or something. :D

Name: Comet Crash

Secondary Effects: The user may also gain a random stat boost. (Think Ancient Power, but for a single stat! 30% chance?) The user suffers recoil if the move misses.

Suggested Distribution: :golem: :steelix:, (Terricks) :donphan: :miltank:
Description:

“The user launches themselves in the air before ramming into the target with the force of a comet.”

With elements of Ancient Power and High Jump Kick, This move serves as a hard hitting but risky move that gives a few pokemon listed above a powerful STAB move and others a hard hitting coverage move.
Move Name: Halloween
Typing:

Secondary Effects / Effects: Decreases the opponent's attack and changes the opponent's typing to mono ghost. Fails if the opponent is already a ghost type.
Suggested Distribution: Horatekku, :Murkrow:, :Misdreavus:, :drowzee:, :gastly:

Celio's held his cup of coffee close, giving pause before going in for nice drink, his eyes drifting to the television.... Only to widen, and being coughing and choking on the drink, the sight on the television catching him off guard completely.
"That's right! At the annual Sevii Islands festival event we'll be teaching your pokemon moves you've NEVER seen before, and, selling these one of a kind books in a special auction! So come on down to Shimshim island, only found HERE in-"

Frantically, Celio fumbled for the phone, off to get ahold of a certain old professor and his excavation team, to find out what was going on...!

Move Name: SACRED CANDLE

Thank you for all the wonderful submission, it was a really tight slate yet again, but it also comes with an announcement!

Starting now, and going into the the month of April, the Sevii Island Pet Mod will be paused in it's official slates while we handle the backlog of submissions, as well as fix the pm on DH(as it currently experiences a number of bugs) ! However this time will also be spent playtesting and on our discord server we will be holding some lore and design slates!
Esscargoo, Horatekku, and Terricks are all without sprites, with Aroof is in the process of gaining one, so we've got some stuff on our plate!
Let's knock these out, and continue making this PM amazing.

Thank you for your time, and I wish you all a great day.

Till next time.

Major Crystal: Sevii Islands Update!

We have finally made it past our first 5 slates, and today marks our 4 month anniversary!
For this update we have a very special announcement...

C:SI is now fully coded and playable up to our most recent slate!
While this may seem like an April fools joke, I can assure you that although this has been a long time coming, it is finally here.

Playable on Dragon Heaven

Along with this, our Spreadsheet is fully up to date with every new addition!

Black Hole Change
There has been a change made to Black Hole:
Instead of damaging all active Pokémon after 3 turns, it only damages the foe's side and now has a half health reduction to user's health when used. Check our spreadsheet for more details.

On your journey through the Sevii Islands, you run into a psychic who claims she can see Pokémon of the future. She tells you that if you follow her back to her house, she'll be able to help you gain visions of the Pokémon as well. You then follow her to her home where she brings you to a crystal ball and begins waving her hand in front of it. She asks you to place your palm near the crystal ball and look into it. You look deeper and deeper only to see nothing... You immediately leave her house claiming that it was all a hoax, she tries stopping you at the door but you continue on. For the rest of the day you feel light headed as if you've been transformed. When you go to bed that night, you have vivid dreams of never before seen Pokémon...

:palkia:Prompt 1: Your task is to make a Fakemon inspired by a 'future' Gen 3+ Pokémon.

In terms of lore, Crystal: Sevii Islands exists in another timeline where games after Gen 2 haven't been created. Feel free to get adventurous with how you choose to reference these 'future' Pokémon. (Very loose references are allowed and are even encouraged.)

:giratina:Prompt 2: Your task is to make a Fakemon inspired by any fake Pokémon leak.

Fake leaks are a big part of the Pokémon community, and some of them are so cool that they might be worth exploring further. They are of course -well- fake, but they're good ways of exploring the possibilities of the future. (Special April Fools Day Prompt)

There are thousands of fake leaks out there, feel free to use any one you want as a reference!
