SV OU CS Typhlosion-Hisui ig

Well, this is my first time doing a team and i need some tips and advices here. I've been playing OU for some time and got a bit of experience and made some choices based on it. So, let's begin. ps: i'm not a english-speaker, so, sorry if you find difficult to read the thread.

https://pokepast.es/a9067b0d9ddbed35 here's the actual version of it, u can test of u want but i don't recommend it.

ting-lu.png

Ting-Lu @ Red Card
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Earthquake
- Whirlwind
- Ruination

He's self-explanatory, hazzard setting, switching 'mons and also annoying the enemy. I chose Ghost Tera because of u-turns, Great Tusk, Iron Valiant and other 'mons that could harm him in his function, didn't had the opportunity to make him shine a lot, and found him a bit difficult to use him, but he's doing pretty great

great-tusk.png

Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin

Hazzard removing, killing threats for TH, and also doing some support with knock-off. Chose a offensive set because of H-Samurott, G-Moltres, and some others that could be dangerous for H-Typho, i didn't found Ice Tera useful here but it could be useful in some situations, such as dealing with H-Braviary, or other birds.

slowking-galarian.png

Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Future Sight
- Chilly Reception
- Slack Off
- Sludge Bomb

He's the most useless on the team imo, but he proved his value on late-game and when dealing with Iron Valiant, or dark type mons, i tried to use him as a pivot but didn't found him so interesting in this position, normally i used him on revenge killings or as a sacrifice to take moves that normally my win-cons couldn't.

typhlosion-hisuian.png

Typhlosion-Hisui @ Choice Specs
Ability: Frisk
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

He's the main sweeper here, Eruption is too strong and he got pretty much kills on his function, obviously he can't do much against H-Samurott, or dark moves, bcz he's too fragile, but he is pretty good on his function yk? Also, frisk can be utile, but Blaze can have more value since he just do damage. obs: he got 3 HK but i don't have the clip rn, probably will add it later.

iron-valiant.png

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Close Combat
- Thunderbolt
- Psyshock

The first win-con here, as you guys know, Iron-Valiant is one of the 'mons that can be very troublesome to handle if you don't have too much options to stop him, or at least, slow him down. I didn't found so troublesome to use him on this team since Tusk covers him on some things, and Kimgambit finishes the job if he don't. Normally i would use flying tera on him, but birds can be harmful for this team, yk? CC is here for versatillity, and also to deal with dark type mons, and thunderbolt, as said before, to deal with the flying mons, also with Goldengo if needed.

kingambit.png

Kingambit @ Air Balloon
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Tera Blast

Second win-con, normally used as my last mon because of Supreme Overlord, i could switch Sucker Punch with Iron Head, because i don't find this move so useful compared with other options, especially because of his restrictions, considering that normally Kingambit won't be the first one attacking, Tera-Blast to deal with fighting mons, such as Great Tusk, or Iron Valiant, and to have more options to deal with menaces.

Well, that's it ig. I thought to use Skeledirge on the spot of H-Typhlosion but i wanted my team to be more aggresive, i wanted a speed control, but couldn't think for a mon to take this function on my team. I would appreciate suggestions or some tips on how to manage this team, and also make him more fun to play.

I will try to make this quick for you on what I see.

~

First, your team dies to ground and water moves so I say we do something to help with that.

:Typhlosion-Hisui:-->:Enamorus:/:dragonite:
Typhlosion for me is a really easy mon to swap out. Enamorous serves a similar function but has a lot of similar moves to Iron Val which is why I also suggested Dragonite. Dragonite adds another physical mon to your team (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but most importantly serves as a really good priority option. I will leave some set suggestions below to try out.

Enamorus @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Superpower
- Moonblast
- Mystical Fire
- Earth Power

Sky Pillar (Dragonite) (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake

Other than that, the other suggestions are little tweaks.

:ting-lu:
Earthquake/ Ruination --> Stealth Rocks

This will help Ting-Lu act more as a setter instead of this odd mixed set that it is now. I would personally go with Ruination to chip fat mons and since you already have earthquake with Tusk (and potentially Dragonite), and then sub out equake for rocks.

:great tusk:
Tera ice --> Tera water

More versatile and useful overall.

:Slowking-Galar:
HDB --> Leftovers
Slack off --> Thunderwave/ toxic/ surf
Tera flying --> Tera water

HDB would be okay if you weren't poison type and didn't have a spinner. And IMO slack-off is simply redundant since you have regenerator, and one of the suggested swaps would add more usefulness to this mon. The tera suggestion is also for optimization.

:kingambit:
Air balloon --> Leftovers
Tera fairy --> tera fire/ flying
Tera blast --> iron head

Again, these are just better options IMO. Leftover recovery can be a lifesaver same with tera flying to get you off the ground or tera fire to become immune to wisp. Then with those swaps, the next logical conclusion would be to give you iron head for a powerful STAB.

~

Someone might come in here and make a post about swapping Slowking for DEF Corv or turning Tusk physical and swapping Slowking for something else, but I wanted to make this short so I'll just leave that option up for them if they so choose...

~

So that's it, a relatively short post (considering how hard I usually unintentionally go... And I could keep typing but I am stopping myself). A lot of suggestions for your team can be ironed out ahead of time by using the Smogon mon build suggestions (I.E. Googling the mon you want to use followed by Smogon I.E. "Kingambit Smogon") and I highly suggest using it.
So yeah, I hope this helps. Good luck out there, friend! :mad:

This gave me a lot of help, but i thought that if i switched out Slowking for Sneasler my team could be a bit more aggresive and also give more opportunities to sweep with H-Typhlosion, surpisingly, i didn't got in trouble with ground/water attacks, it was a lot more with dark moves or Dragonite's ES, but yeah, i'm gonna test it out and give you my feedback. Also, TY and have a great day!!

edit here: did a test and yeah, it did great!! I still have some problems with Ting Lu, but i will find some other way on how to get over it, althought, Slowking being more aggresive makes him being more utile for the team and also makes me play more safe, but still aggresively. Put Ice Spinner on Tusk to minimize Landorus presence in-game and also against Flying types/teras, but i don't think it's so useful considering that Headlong Rush is a great move by itself
