Okay so this is my first post on any of the Smogon forums, so if the layout is wrong or anything I'm sorry lol. Anyways on to the team.
I don't know how to make those separate tabs or anything or even add pictures of the mons, so I'll just post it all in one go.
Team building Process:
The team is basically hyper offence consisting of four of the biggest RU threats right now, with two walls that provide defog, aromatherapy and wish support to help get the right mon in safely to potentially sweep, and all 6 mons provide good type coverage and Isn't weak to much except fire, however there is only 3 notable fire types in RU and with the correct plays can easily be defeated.
Surprise Factor; Whimsicott
Whimsicott @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- Hurricane
- U-turn
I decided I wanted to start with an offensive Whimsicott because not many people expect it and it is surprisingly powerful. Giga Drain and Moonblast used as the dual stab provides solid coverage and hurricane is for the Amoongus switch ins as well as Mega Obama Snow which can give this team problems if not played around correctly. U-turn for momentum and life orb to increase the damage output because were going for Naive over Modest to out speed modest Helioisk but you can change it according to personal preference. Infiltrator over Prankster for obvious reasons here.
First late game sweeper; Zoroark
Zoroark @ Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Low Sweep
The second mon is the recently NU banned Zoroark. Swords dance three attacks, plus priority. The max speed Jolly nature is to out speed Sharpedo after a speed boost (I'm pretty sure) and KO with low sweep. Depending on the opponents team put the pokemon that forces out the most switches in the back, come in disguised as them SD then sweep, this works best late game in tandem with Yanmega after their team has been weakned by SR and the other mons, but disguising it as Aromatisse also works. Pretty standard EV's not much else to say about this mon.
da real MVP; Yanmega
Yanmega @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
Much like Zoroark its a standard EV set but it's so damn effective, sometimes simple is best, Modest + Life Orb hits like a truck. Protect to get some out speeding going on then wreck everything still standing after the rest of the team has weakened your opponent. As far as late game sweepers go; Yanmega = GOD.
Much needed Defog; Gligar
Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
Have a pokemon with 4x weakness to stealth rock? USE DEFOG. Standard defog defensive Gligar, not much else to say, get their rocks off, set your rocks. Get a toxic in when EQ is obviously gonna force a switch. Laughs at Rhyperior. No roost on this set but I found it isn't needed as it's job is to defog and rocks, but it gets some healing from wish support if needed.
Wish, aromatherapy support; Aromatisse
Aromatisse @ Leftovers
Ability: Healer
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
Another standard set, not much else to say really except keep those wishes up so your Zoroark and the pokemon you disguised it as are harder to distinguish from one another, Aromatherapy to keep status off your sweepers.
Pressure; Doublade
Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 208 HP / 252 Atk / 24 SpD / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head
Just enough speed to out speed Cofag, and just enough Sp.Def to live a Cofag shadow ball (No crits) SD then kill it next turn and possibly get a sweep going. We all know the power of Doublade after a few SD's it's pretty much over late game.
Like I mentioned before Mega Obama Snow can give this team a little bit of trouble but, Hurricane, Air Slash and Iron Head can handle it pretty well. The biggest threat to this team is Delphox, but a full health Gligar and Sucker punch can handle it, just be weary of switching Aromatisse in because they can fire spin trap and Psyshock it to death.
Importable team:
Whimsicott @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- Hurricane
- U-turn
Zoroark @ Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Low Sweep
Yanmega @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
Aromatisse @ Leftovers
Ability: Healer
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 208 HP / 252 Atk / 24 SpD / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Iron Head
First post on what I think is a pretty solid team, gone undefeated with it so far after playing around 15 games with it, maybe the caliber of players I'm facing isn't too high or maybe the team is pretty good. Any and all feedback is welcome, improvements, success stories and please some formatting help xD good luck with the team.
EDIT: Fire moves can be used on the team if steel types are giving you a problem ie: Flamethrower on Zoroark or HP Fire on Whims. It's entirely up to you.
