Giving curse to Umbreon frees up some slots that allows mixed attackers to become behemoths once the p-hazers/charm/growlers are out of the way. Mixed attackers are crucial to this team, otherwise Umbreon using curse does not have much utility. Muk and Snorlax cover each other well when dealing out chip damage to whatever p-hazers your opponent has, while both are able to dish out a large amount of damage and/or spread status conditions to whatever might switch in to avoid their p-hazer from taking a lot of damage, or being put to sleep. Curse can also come in handy for the other Pokemon if they need an easier time coming in, either to rest up, or to spin/set spikes. Cloyster wants to avoid getting poisoned early in the game because you will want to keep spikes off the field as much as you can, since using baton pass often is a good way to scout out what your opponent brings in, and double switching will put a dent in your opponent, allowing Umbreon an easier time to successfully pass curses. Curse is a move rarely seen on Umbreon, this team can capitalize on it well. It is mainly a defensive team, but given the opportunity it can sweep with ease.
