Curselax for Battle Tower?

I was wondering...How useful would Curselax be for the Battle Tower...I Fought one in the Battle Tower and it was a pain to kill...

I used Blissey and Toxic poisoned it to death...I kept using Counter so that Return wouldn't hit me. I slipped up and hit Seismic Toss on Accident and Snorlax Returned it and KO'd my Blissey...I was speechless.

I was thinking...How useful would it be??

I looked on the main site and am thinking on trying to make this Curselax.

Snorlax (Leftovers)
Thick Fat
Careful Nature
168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD (Evs)

Curse
Return (I didn't realize how dangerous this move was til it killed my Blissey)
Rest
Crunch or Earthquake

I am trying to make the best setup for my Curselax, but what would you recommend?? Any Changes towards moves...I see Self Destruct is an Option to and it would do MASSIVE Damage, but I want to keep out my Snorlax as long as possible and I know that Self Destruct would go second because of Snorlax's Speed keeps Decreasing so I made it Rest.

Any more changes?? I am thinking for the Battle Tower...

I was also thinking of the Awsome Wobuffet...I love him. I had a wobby in Emerald that I loved and whenever I fought my friend it was nice because I would be able to take a hit, Prevent the Pokes from Switching, and be able to counter Sp Atk and Phy Atk.

I don't know if he would be good in BT, but I was thinking of Wobby with Destiny Bond, Mirror Coat, Counter, and either Encore/Safeguard/ or Charm.

I know Encore would be good if you could predict your opponents well. Safeguard is GREAT, I didn't realize how helpful it was until Emerald because Wobby would get a Burn or Poison and the oppoent would just wait it out. Charm is good towards the Fighting Type pokes that can do massive damage, but the problem with Charm is Fighting Type Pokes go first so I would get hit before I could use it.

My Old Setup was.

Wobbuffet (Leftovers) Carful
Mirror Coat
Counter
Safeguard
Encore (later switched with Destiny Bond)

If only he could learn Toxic...You could take hits while using Leftovers and Countering...And Preventing them from switching..How cool.

I know Blissey with Aromatherapy with Wobby Would be good, but in Battle Tower a Wall Team would take a LONG time to get up on the wins quickly

Speaking from experience you'll want both Encore and Safeguard on Wobbuffet for any work in the BT. Encore makes setting up 10x easier and you need Safeguard (and Lum Berry IMO) to get a few free turns to set up after Encoring a status move. There really isn't room for Destiny Bond. He's too slow anyway for the move and if he survives a hit to use D-Bond, you should have just used Counter or Mirror Coat instead.

As for Snorlax, he works fine you just won't see many people in the records thread using him. He takes longer to set up meaning longer battles and more chances to get screwed by luck be it by CH, flinch or OHKO. Most people use fast, hard hitting teams because less turns means less opportunities for the BT to get lucky and it makes it much less of a grind when you get into those longer streaks.

Also what 3 Poke Team for BT would be good with Curselax. Thanks for the Info Carl*..

I do like Speed and I have noticed with a lot of the Teams people have posted they have quick Killers...Gengars, Garchomp, Lucario, Latios & Latias, etc.

I notice a lot of the Teams have a Poke that screws the opponent over like a support Character...Like Jumpman's Lopunny with Switcheroo making the opponent Always use one move for 1 poke so you can easily tell what it will do...and the Massive Double Status like Confusion and Paralysis.

I love screwing the computer over because I came across a Abomasnow who hit me with three Sheer Colds in a Row to kick my 79 Win Streak out of commision with Team Rocket Elites Gengar, Frosslass, Blissey Team which is REALLY Fun to play Gengar has Counter on his first turn to hit Physical Attackers Dead and when Gengar is at 1 HP Destiny Bond...2 Pokes for my 1 Gengar. Frosslass was my next choice of Pokemon out and Snow Cloak didn't seem to work against Abomasnow's Blizzard...I think Blizzard in Hail is 100% Accurate so I tried to Destiny Bond like Crazy, but I was stupid and Switched out to Blissey to run into a Sheer Cold hoping Abomasnow would do Blizzard...Frosslass was left and I couldn't use Destiny Bond because No More Pokes.

I am trying to think of a Team Where Curselax could be used because it is a cool idea. But I can't seem to think of something that would work fast enough.

Curselax's biggest problem is that late in the BT, the AI starts using OHKO moves, and the RNG is rigged in their favor, meaning that it doesn't matter how many curses Snorlax can get. If you don't have a good user of Sturdy, you have no hope in the BT unless your team is VERY vicious and adept at destroying opponents.

Yeah, because the AI uses 1HKO moves, it's almost a requirement to have a substitute up to take any hit or any potential hax from your opponent. But there's the problem, because you need Curse and Substitute, if you want Rest, then you have one slot to attack, and that's a problem. If you use something like Body Slam, they'll have a Ghost type ready. If you have Earthquake, they'll have a Flying type. If you use Fire Punch, they'll have a Flash Fire Pokémon. The only set I can see being close to viable is Curse, Rest, Substitute, and Crunch, since Crunch hits everything for some damage.

Probably a special sweeper/supporter and a mixed sweeper. I probably wouldn't know as I'm starting to get back into the tower with this new team I'm contemplating:)
