D/P Online Battling?

So, is Smogon only going to do WiFi battling? If so, is there any way to battle WiFi over a standard wireless internet connection/wii, or do I need to go find one of those impossible-to-fine hotspots?

wifi adaptors aren't impossible to find (around 35$)

A wireless router works as well. Thats what I use.

Yah, it doesn't even have to be yours... as long as one of your neighbors is too stupid to figure out how to put security measures on their Wireless internet...

It works with a standard Wi-Fi connection just fine. Your connection has to either use WEP security or none at all though. No WPA for the DS :(

And... yeah. People are really lax about even putting a little WEP encoding on their router. I see 2 unlocked systems in the house I'm in right now. Head to an apparentment or a dorm and you're likely to see at least half a dozen.

A lot of those people aren't "too stupid" to use WEP or WPA, they just don't because it's a nice, neighborly thing to do.
