D/P OU Team

D/P Team. No Platiums move suggestions please.

Alright now that that is cleared up... Onto the team.

aerodactyl.png

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Jolly; 4 Hp/ 252 Atk/252 Spe
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Taunt
Stealth Rock

Now that Deoxys-S is uberized, Aerodactyl can rain supreme as the fastest taunter and stealth rock lead. As far as I know nothing can really prevent Aero from setting up stealth rock except for trick-choice scarf pokemon, which is too popular in platinum metagame thus I am not using this team in that environment, so that solves that problem.

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Jolly; 252 Hp/ 128 Def/ 128 SpD
U-Turn
Thunder Wave
Reflect
Wish

Since I have changed this from a dual screener to support, I'll need a different EV spread. Any help with that?
suicune.png

Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold; 252 Hp/252 Def/ 4 SpD
Rest
Surf
Calm Mind
Sleep Talk

Serves a lot of different roles. Status Absorb, Special Sweeper, Walls certain pokmeon, Stalls vaporeon and some blissey.

gengar.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Timid; 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Thunderbolt
Shadow ball
Focus Blast
HP Ice

It revenge-kills a large list of pokemon. I do not need to say much more than this.

lucario.png

Lucario @ Life Orb
Adamant; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
Crunch/Stone Edge
Close Combat
ExtremeSpeed
Swords Dance

Physical Sweeper of the team. Best at late game when everything else is weakened.

gyarados.png

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Stone Edge
Earthquake

After one Dragon Dance everything without choice scarf is outspeed except for 130 Bases which are mostly used as leads anyways and will have been elimnated earlier.

No Platinum Suggestions.

I still see you having problems with Thunder Wave Blissey. It can come in and effectivly keep you stuck. Sure you can go out to Jirachi, but you are faster than blissey so U-Turning could still result in a paralysed Gyarados or Lucario. You can of course play around this with skilled prediction but if it becomes a large issue then you could change Suicune to ResTalk Machamp who will keep the bulk but will be able to counter Blissey and perhaps most notably Tyranitar a lot better. Tyranitar can hit the rest of your team for super Effective damage so having a sure fire counter will definately help you in that respect.

One other thing, I don't see why you couldn't play this in Platinum, Gyarados counters Scizor, Jirachi can come in and set up reflect etc... Fast scarfers cant be too much of an issue, they will still allow you to set up rocks on turn one and then they give your aerodacytl extra speed to possible come in and finish something off later.

Fighting types + Gyarados often work well, as the things that trouble fighting types Gyara can often deal with, less so with less bulk. If you change this to Bulky Gyara you can then set up on Blissey, first Taunting so she cant thunder Wave, then you can buy a couple of DDs. Bulky Gyara will give you even more insurance vs Heatran and will generally aid your slight problem with Blissey, I would not exactly call anything else except machamp a "safe" switch in to Blissey (Jirachi is perhaps an exception) Hope some of this helped :D

We need better descriptions than just one sentence.
"Choice Scarf Gengar: Excellent Revenge Killer" No shit, how does it work into your team?

Wish could go over either Reflect or Light Screen. Yeah, it sucks getting rid of one, but Jirachi can give a lot of support with that move, in conjunction with U-Turn. Plus no leftovers means Jirachi will go down rather quickly. Bronzong is better at the double screen thing, but I say put Wish on instead of scrapping Jirachi.

You should consider getting a Rapid Spinner, since Gyarados and Aerodactyl if it makes it past the opening will get hit hard, and you only have two Pokemon that aren't influenced much by rocks, so try out a spinner somewhere. My suggestion is take out either Luke or Gyarados. Kind of redundant having two physical sweepers.

Stone Edge could work over Crunch on Lucario. That way Gyarados won't stop you, and overall, I say Stone Edge is just more valuable than Crunch.

All I can say about this team, is that it's missing quite a bit. It needs a Spinner, Jirachi could use Wish, and it's team synergy just doesn't look amazing. It looks like one of those standard teams where 6 random pokes get slapped together to make a team. Just doesn't seem like all 6 are on the same page, there's no team goal. Not that that's bad, but it's good to have :)

Revenge-Killer is really all you need to say. "It comes in and deals with pokemon that it can deal with and switchs out afterwards." Revenge-killer pretty much sums that all up.

I suppose I could add a rapid spinner. All the rapid spinners really do not do much for this team expect apart from rapid spinning except perhaps Donphan it could at least take electric attacks and take care of tyranitar. I switch it over gyarados that kind of makes rapid spinning a bit useless as than all that is left for SR weakness is Aero which is not likely to survive past the lead pokemon and any useage after that. I think changing out gyarados for a ground type would be effective enough on this team as having a rapid spinner. Than it would be 3 resist, 2 neutral, and 1 weak. Which ground type I am not sure as that would likely change something else on my team I bet.

I'll think about stone edge for lucario see what the rest of the team becomes for changes.

I've been thinking of using wish over light screen and leftovers for while. Just needed a second opinion.

Yeah, I could use this team with Platinum, but for a few reasons I do not want to. Main reason is that I have been playing Platinum on shoddybattle for awhile now and I would like to revert back to preplatinum for a little while. Second, pokemon using trick against aerodactyl would gain the focus sash, so if I did use stealth rock they would get a free turn to damage my switch in and attack again. Even if I attacked I would lose out on getting up stealth rock early, but I do take out the other pokemon most likely. Either way a win-lose situation.

Thanks for those suggestions.
